Appointment

It is completely understandable to feel unsettled when a long-awaited appointment is cancelled, especially when you are hoping for care and clarity to come quickly. You have asked for prayer in this, and it is right to bring that need before the Lord, for He cares about your whole being. There is a beautiful greeting in the third letter of John where the writer expresses a wish that his friend would prosper and be in good health, just as his soul was prospering. While that is a personal greeting and not a universal promise, it does reveal a true desire and an interesting connection: physical well-being and spiritual vitality are linked. We are learning more about how our attitudes and state of mind can affect our body’s chemistry, so as your soul finds rest in God, that peace can touch your whole frame.

Even so, we must hold this understanding with a gentle hand. A delay or a health struggle is not a measure of your faith or devotion. Some of the most faithful and sweetest believers I have encountered have walked through tremendous health challenges. The ways of the Lord in these things often remain beyond our full grasp, as His ways are higher than ours. We cannot simply equate robust physical health with spiritual maturity. So, while I join you in praying that a new appointment comes through swiftly, my prayer is also that your soul would prosper deeply in the waiting.

Ultimately, God is interested in your health. His laws of old included sanitary and dietary practices that prevented diseases that plagued others, showing He is a God who heals and preserves. Today, while not under the same ceremonial codes, the principle remains that caring for the body and mind is wise. Seeking the help of a psychiatrist is a practical outworking of that care. As you wait, do not let anxiety add its weight to your burden. Solomon wrote that pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and health to the bones. May the Lord’s words over you be that sweetness, and may He bring the appointment you need, steadying your mind with His perfect peace until that time comes.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your prayer request and allowed us to stand with you before the Lord. Our hearts have been lifting up your need for that important appointment with your psychiatrist, asking God to open the right door at the right time so you can receive the care and support you need.

If God has already answered this prayer and a new appointment has been scheduled, we would love to celebrate His faithfulness with you—please share a praise report so we can rejoice together. If the wait continues and you still need that appointment to come through soon, we encourage you to post this request again. We remain committed to praying alongside you, asking the Lord to move swiftly on your behalf and grant you peace in the waiting.

May He strengthen you, provide clarity and comfort, and remind you of His nearness as you trust Him in this season. We continue to pray in Jesus’ Name.
