We are joining with you in prayer for the anxiety and overwhelm you are feeling and we thank you for sharing this burden with us so we can bring it before the Lord together.
The Word tells us that anxiety is something God wants us to bring directly to Him. We are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7 to in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We are also told in 1 Peter 5:7 to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you and in 2 Timothy 1:7 that God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. True confidence does not come from ourselves but from knowing who we are in Christ and that He is with us, for He says in Isaiah 41:10 Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And Jesus Himself offers us peace in John 14:27 Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you, not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
We are also praying for your work, that God would give you strength and clarity for every task and that your workplace would be marked by mutual respect and kindness. We are praying that you would find peace of mind even when the load feels heavy, remembering the invitation in Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. As you work we encourage you to commit your work to the Lord as Colossians 3:23 says Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men and Proverbs 16:3 reminds us to Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. We pray for a comfortable environment where respect abounds, and we encourage you to also be an example of that respect and grace to others, trusting God to help you do all things through Christ who strengthens you as promised in Philippians 4:13.
We noticed your request ended with Amen but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and peace with Him. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me and Acts 4:12 tells us There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to bring every anxious thought and every need directly to the Father in the name of Jesus, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and that by putting your faith in Him you are forgiven, made new, and welcomed into God’s presence with confidence.
We pray together now, Father in heaven we lift this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see the anxiety and the feeling of being overwhelmed and You care deeply. We ask that You replace fear with Your perfect peace that guards heart and mind, and fill this heart with confidence rooted in Your presence and promises. Help in every task at work, grant wisdom, focus, and strength to do each thing well for Your glory. We ask for a working environment filled with respect, kindness, and understanding among all who are there. Grant peace of mind and rest to this soul, and draw this one closer to Jesus, that there would be full assurance of Your love and salvation through Him. We trust You to provide comfort and to walk with us through every anxious moment. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
