Answer Prayers

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Thank you Lord. Lord I'm tired of being taken advantage of. I repeat the same prayers daily but I feel that you don't hear me. Why want you answer Lord? I pray that you will answer. You know my prayers. In Jesus Name I Pray. Amen

We join you in this honest cry and we thank you for sharing the weariness of your heart with us, for the Lord already knows your prayers and your pain and we bring them before Him together in Jesus' name.

We hear how tired you are of being taken advantage of and how heavy it feels to repeat the same prayers and wonder if God hears. We want to assure you that He does hear you, even when His answer does not come in the way or the timing we expect. Psalm 34:17 tells us The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. And 1 John 5:14 reminds us This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. Your feelings of being unheard are real, but they are not the truth of who God is. He is not distant or deaf to your voice. His thoughts and ways are higher than ours as Isaiah 55:8-9 says, and sometimes His answer is to wait, to grow us, to protect us, or to provide something better than what we asked.

We also hear your hurt over being taken advantage of and we pray for wisdom and strength for you in this. The Lord calls us to love and serve others, but He also calls us to guard our hearts and walk in wisdom. Proverbs 4:23 says Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life. And Jesus said in Matthew 10:16 Be therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. We are not called to allow others to continually use us or to carry bitterness, but to set healthy and godly boundaries, to speak the truth in love, and to forgive while not enabling wrong behavior. We pray that God will give you discernment to know when to say yes and when to say no, and courage to not be weary in doing what is right. Galatians 6:9 encourages us Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up.

About repeating the same prayers, we want to encourage you that persistence in prayer is not a lack of faith but is often a sign of it. Jesus taught in Luke 18:1 that we must always pray, and not give up. God is not annoyed by your repeated prayers. He invites you to keep asking, seeking and knocking as Matthew 7:7 says Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. Yet He also invites you to trust Him and to cast your cares on Him because He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 says. We rebuke the lie that you are forgotten or unheard, and we ask the Lord to lift the weight of discouragement and replace it with peace that passes understanding as you continue to trust Him.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, thanking You that we have access to Your throne of grace through Him alone. We lift up this dear one who is weary and feels taken advantage of and unheard. Lord, You see every tear and You know every prayer that has been prayed day after day. We ask that You make Your presence known in a fresh way, that You comfort this tired heart and remind them that You do hear and You do answer according to Your perfect will and timing. Grant wisdom to set godly boundaries, to love others without being misused, and to guard the heart You have given. Heal any wounds from being taken advantage of and remove any bitterness, and help to forgive as You have forgiven us. Strengthen faith to keep praying without giving up, and help to trust Your answer even when it is wait or not as expected. Fill this heart with Your peace, hope, and assurance that You are working all things together for good. We ask all this in the name of Jesus our Savior, Amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing your honest heart to Him daily, to rest in His Word, and to trust that He is faithful even when you cannot yet see the answer. He has not forgotten you and He will not forsake you.

We hear how tired you feel, both from people taking advantage of you and from praying the same prayers and wondering if they are getting through. It makes sense that you would feel worn down and question whether God is hearing you.

We want you to know we do not believe your prayers are wasted or unheard. Sometimes when answers feel delayed it is not because God is distant, but because He is drawing us to seek Him Himself even more than the answer we are waiting for. Repeating a prayer is not a failure on your part, it is often a sign of a heart that keeps turning to Him honestly.

If you are able, it can help to let one other trusted believer hear these same prayers out loud with you this week. Not for advice, just to have someone stand with you and remind you you are not carrying this alone. And continue to tell God plainly, just as you did here, that you feel tired and overlooked.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. You know every prayer repeated and every hurt from being taken advantage of. Give rest to this tired heart, assurance that You hear, and wisdom for each relationship that feels heavy. Draw near and give peace as we trust You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer has come up before the Lord, though your heart feels as if it has not, and the heaviness you describe is one which many of the saints have known well. To repeat the same supplication day after day and to feel no answer is a sore trial, and to feel taken advantage of by others while you wait adds weight to weariness.

Be assured of this first truth, that unanswered petitions are not unheard. The Lord keeps a file for the prayers of His people. They are not blown away by the wind, they are treasured in the King's archives, and there is a registry in the court of Heaven where every sigh and tear is recorded. We say God is a prayer hearing and a prayer answering God, but Scripture says, O Thou that hearest prayer, unto Thee shall all flesh come. It is enough for Him to hear it, and sincere prayer, though it may seem very feeble to you, is always acceptable to Him. Delays in prayer are not denials. God's long dated bills will be punctually honored. We must not suffer the adversary to shake our confidence by pointing to unanswered prayers.

Yet when prayer seems to tarry, settle this in your mind above all else, But Thou art holy. Though you should have seven years of unanswered prayer, suggest any other reason to your mind than one which would dishonor Him. His holiness and His goodness are not to be questioned by our waiting.

And while you wait, let the waiting search you. Scripture teaches that unanswered prayer may sometimes be a Fatherly chastisement for sin committed or an admonition against sin harbored, and sometimes there may be great sin in the prayer itself, when we pray without fervency or with a divided heart. Therefore ask the Lord to show you if there be any unconfessed sin, any bitterness toward those who have used you, any coldness or formality that has hung like icicles about your lips. True prayer is fervent and humble. Like Jacob, we are to spread our case before the Lord and plead His promises, saying, Remember the Word unto Thy servant. Prayer does not change the will of God, it is the shadow of a coming blessing, a reminding of our heavenly Father of what He has already promised to do for those who are in Christ.

Know also that the Lord may be strengthening you by this very exercise. He is strengthening your muscles and sinews by the arduous exercise of unanswered prayer that you may be finely useful in the future. The waiting itself is part of His work in you, to make you more patient, more dependent, more Christlike.

You speak of being taken advantage of. Bring that burden also plainly to the Lord. Ask Him for wisdom to walk uprightly and to love others without allowing yourself to be consumed by those who would misuse your kindness. It is right to do good and to be generous, but it is also right to seek counsel, to set needful bounds, and to ask the Lord to quicken you in His way, that you may serve Him with a lively and discerning heart.

Therefore do not faint. Continue to cry unto Him morning and night. Let your prayer be fervent, humble, and full of His promises. If your words fail, remember that wordless prayers are heard in Heaven, the prayer of inward thirst, the prayer of one who despairs of all other help. The Lord has said, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

May the Lord grant you to see in due time how He has heard you, and to say with the Psalmist, I love the Lord, because He hath heard my voice and my supplications. May He give you grace to persevere until the answer comes, and in the waiting, to find your rest not in the answer itself, but in the One who hears.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
