Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord.
We pray that God in His mercy would bring healing to you concerning this past memory that troubles you. We do not ask only that it be taken away, but that He would redeem it and give you peace. Scripture teaches that godly sorrow works repentance unto salvation which brings no regret, while worldly sorrow brings death. May He give you a careful hearing of His word and continual recollection of His grace, with fortitude to stand and with a heart freed from what weighs you down, so that even this painful recollection may become a means of deeper trust in Christ and not a burden that holds you.
We also join you in praying for ###, the tenant at ###, and for all the people in his life. We pray as you have prayed, that if any of them are in need of salvation they would come to God through Jesus Christ alone. For He alone is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God by Him, because He ever lives to make intercession for them. There is no other name by which we are saved, and His death is the salvation of the world. We ask that the Lord in His long suffering would draw each one to Himself, that they would hear the gospel, believe, and receive the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
We pray too that whatever trials have been permitted would work for consolation and salvation, and that you would know the comfort of Christ who shares in our sufferings. May the Lord treasure up for you not wrath but salvation, not punishment but life and honor in Him.
We commit you and ### and those connected to him into the hands of our merciful God, trusting His power to save and to heal. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.
