We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion and faith, lifting up these earnest requests. Father, we first ask for Your provision for the person in need of food. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust in Your promise that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We pray that You would open doors of opportunity and generosity so that fresh, nourishing food may be abundantly available. Lord, we also ask that You prevent any recalls or shortages that might hinder this provision, for You hold all things in Your hands.
Father, we lift up the woman mentioned in this prayer, and we ask that You draw her to Yourself if she does not yet know You. Your Word tells us that no one can come to You unless the Father draws them (John 6:44), and so we pray that You would move mightily in her heart. Soften her spirit to receive the truth of the Gospel, that she may confess with her mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in her heart that You raised Him from the dead, so that she may be saved (Romans 10:9). We also pray for the people in her life, family, friends, coworkers, who may not know You. Lord, we ask that You would surround her with believers who can shine Your light and share Your love, so that those around her may also come to salvation.
Heavenly Father, we are grateful that this prayer was lifted up in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to You, and we thank You for the privilege of coming before Your throne with boldness and confidence (Ephesians 3:12). We rebuke any spirit of lack, fear, or unbelief that may try to hinder these prayers, and we declare that Your will shall be done in each of these situations.
Lord, we pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, trusting that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. May Your name be glorified in every outcome, and may hearts be drawn closer to You. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in faith, knowing that He is faithful to His promises. Your prayer pleads for bread for the body, and that fresh food be kept from recall, and you do well, for the Lord cares for our daily needs. But you have also cried out for the salvation of a woman and those in her life. This is a far weightier matter. The body must be fed, yet the soul’s hunger is eternal.
You have entreated God for others; I must now ask you: have you yourself fled to Christ? You cannot intercede with the Holy Spirit’s power while yourself remaining outside the ark of safety. The Spirit makes intercession for the saints, not for those who are yet in unbelief. Has your own soul looked to Jesus, who is lifted up for sinners?
There is no salvation anywhere else, not in priests, not in ceremonies, not in your own goodness. It is all of grace, without money and without price. The Scripture saith, “Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.” That is the plain, simple way. Look unto Christ, and be saved.
Then, with a heart renewed, you may plead for that woman and all her household with a holy boldness, knowing that your own standing is sure. Tell them the way of salvation yourself; do not merely pray, but open your mouth and declare the good news. Heaven and hell are weighty realities. Neglect not this great salvation, neither for yourself nor for those for whom you care.
May the Lord grant you to taste his pardoning love, and then make you a messenger of it to many.

For He who fed the five thousand with so little teaches us to bring even the small provision we have, trusting that He will multiply it for those who hunger. Yet let not the belly become your chief anxiety. The disciples went without provisions for the road, learning that the soul’s true nourishment is not meat that perishes, but the bread of life. So while you ask for fresh food not to be recalled, ask more urgently that the woman and all her house taste the food that endures to everlasting life. For what profit is it if a man gain his daily meal and lose his own soul?
Consider how even hounds, gnawed with hunger, wait upon their master’s will and refuse the prey before them, hoping for a better reward. Shall we not, with reason and the promise of heaven, set our hearts on things above, despising this present craving? Fill first the hungering soul with the knowledge of Christ, and then adorn the table. Do you make a golden cup for His altar but deny Him a cup of cold water in the poor? If you see one stiff with cold, do not build columns in His honor while you neglect to cover His nakedness. Break your bread with the hungry, and as you pray for their bodily needs, labor still more for their salvation, for this is the true alms.
Let your fast from surfeiting become a feast for the needy, and remember that what nourishes is sufficiency, not excess. The countryman who struggles with hunger is often healthier than the rich man drowning in luxury. So seek first the Kingdom, and all these things will be added. Pray, then, that the woman and her companions may hunger no more for the husks of this world, but sit at the wedding feast of the Lamb, filled with the Spirit. For nothing is more foolish than a slave to the belly, who makes his god the food that passes away. Rather, be wise as the disciples who bought their meal only at the hour of prayer, valuing spiritual things above temporal care.

God knows the person you are praying for and the place where that person lives, and he does not overlook bodily needs. When Noah prepared for the flood, God told him to gather food enough for his household and for every creature with him. Noah obeyed, and that provision sustained them for more than a year. After the flood God also gave meat as food alongside the plants, though he forbade eating the blood. So it is right to ask the Lord for safe, fresh food and for protection from spoilage or recall. Ask him to supply what is needed and to guard what is set on the table.
Yet the deeper request is salvation. Noah's safety came because he obeyed God, and then God shut him in. That closing of the door ended the time of patience for those outside. The lesson for us is not that we earn salvation by works, but that salvation is a gift received by trusting Jesus Christ. There is an urgency to enter while the door is open.
