Beloved of All
Heavenly Father pls kindly for oil prices to be lower. Pls for all sauces such as salsa and all other traditional sauces from countries will be protected. In Jesus Christ name. amen.

We come before the Lord with this request, lifting up the concerns about oil prices and the preservation of traditional sauces from various countries. While these matters touch on daily life and cultural heritage, we must first seek God’s will in all things, remembering that our ultimate trust is in Him, not in the fluctuations of markets or the preservation of earthly goods.

The Bible reminds us in Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." We trust that the Lord knows our needs, and we ask Him to provide for His children in ways that glorify Him.

Father, we pray for wisdom for leaders and those in authority over economic matters. We ask that You would guide decisions that affect the cost of oil and other resources, that they may be just and fair for all people. We also lift up the preservation of cultural foods and traditions, asking that You would bless those who work to maintain them, that they may be a testimony to the diversity and creativity You have placed in Your creation.

However, we must also examine our hearts in these requests. Are we placing our trust in the provision of material things above our trust in You? Are we seeking first Your Kingdom, or are we consumed with the worries of this world? Let us not be like those in James 4:3 who ask with wrong motives, "You ask and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures." Instead, let our requests be aligned with Your will, that we may use what You provide to honor You and serve others.

Lord, we also pray for those who may be struggling with the rising cost of living. Provide for their needs, comfort their hearts, and remind them that You are their ultimate Provider. Help us to be generous with what You have given us, sharing with those in need as You have commanded in 1 John 3:17, "But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him?"

Finally, we give thanks for the name of Jesus, through whom we have access to You. There is no other name by which we can come before You, and we are grateful for the salvation and hope we have in Him. May our prayers always be offered in His name, with hearts that seek to glorify You above all else.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

When we pray about something as everyday as oil prices or the survival of traditional sauces, we’re bringing God the things that genuinely touch our tables, our budgets, and the little pieces of culture that feel like home. Behind your words we hear a heart that values stability and the quiet gifts of shared meals, and we’re glad you brought it all here.

We don’t know why God moves in some economic directions and not others, but we do know He sees our daily needs and takes no less care with the small things than the large ones. Even the olive trees and grapevines of Scripture, the grain and the oil, were promises that ordinary provision matters to Him. So we join you, not because we can force an outcome, but because we trust the same Father who clothes the grass of the field.

Would you consider one small action this week? Pick one traditional sauce or dish that holds meaning for you, maybe one from your own heritage or a neighbor’s, and use it as a conscious moment of thanks. As you enjoy it, tell God what it represents: the hands that passed down the recipe, the laughter around the table, or simply the goodness of flavor. That act won’t lower oil prices, but it will anchor your hope in the God who gives us all things richly to enjoy, even while we wait for broader relief.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this person’s practical concerns and the longing for protection over traditions that feed both body and soul. Grant wisdom to those who shape global and local policies, and provide for families who are stretched by rising costs. Preserve the crafts and flavors that connect communities across generations, not in pride but as a humble sign of Your creativity and care. Most of all, steady our hearts to seek Your kingdom first, trusting that every need is known by You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A request has come to this church asking for lower oil prices and the protection of sauces from many lands. Let us consider what the Lord would say to such a petition. You speak of oil, the fuel of nations, and you desire it to be cheap. Yet I would have you think of a far better oil, the oil of gladness wherewith Christ is anointed above His fellows, and which flows down to the skirts of His garments, even the Holy Spirit who brings joy unspeakable. This oil never fluctuates in price, for it is without money and without cost to all who are without strength, for whom Christ died.

As for the sauces you would protect, I fear you are more careful for the condiments of the table than for the savor of the gospel. The prophet spoke of divine surprises when the Lord came down; His presence dissolves the errors of the age like glaciers melting in summer. We need His visitation, not the perpetuation of every earthly recipe. Has not divine sovereignty ordained that nations rise and fall, and that even our daily bread comes with thorns? The eagle tears away the comforts of the nest to teach her young to fly; and if the Almighty allows oil to be dear, or if some sauce be lost, it may be divine discipline to wean us from the world and set our affections on things above.

Yet I do not mock your request; the Lord cares for our temporal needs. But let your prayer be enlarged. Seek first the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added. Ask that the unction of the Holy One may be preserved in the churches, that the true flavors of old gospel truth, the doctrines of grace, the doctrine of substitution, the vicarious suffering of Christ, be not watered down by this godless generation. For what shall it profit a man if he have cheap oil and all the sauces of the world, and lose his own soul?

Divine interpositions of mercy have often come to us in the form of temporal deliverances, but the greatest interposition is that which snatches us from the flood of wrath through the death of our Lord Jesus Christ. He has delivered our souls from death, our eyes from tears, and our feet from falling. Let us not be incensed against this divine way of cleansing, but come ashamed of our former opposition, and find in Him all our glory.

Therefore go, and pray still, but pray with larger heart: Lord, let the oil of Thy Spirit anoint me; let the savor of Christ be upon my life; and let Thy sovereign will be done in the markets of men, even as it is in heaven. In Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pray for oil prices to be lowered, but what oil do you truly need? The oil that will serve you when the Bridegroom comes is not the oil of commerce, but the oil of mercy stored up through almsgiving. Spend your care on that oil, for it is gathered here and used there, when no earthly market can supply it. If you waste your substance on luxury, you will find your lamp empty at the hour that matters most.

You also ask protection for sauces, salsas and traditional condiments. Yet what profit do these delicacies bring? They are not arts but snares, doing harm to both body and soul by kindling luxury and all its train of diseases. The palate we pamper becomes a tyrant, and the wealth poured into such things could instead relieve the poor and purchase for you a heavenly kingdom. Why do you trouble God with a prayer to safeguard that which leads you away from him? Turn your concern to the true sauce of life: the seasoning of self-control and charity.

If you desire lower prices, let it be so you have more to share with the needy, not to indulge your appetite. The oil you store in the bellies of the hungry will light your path into the bridal chamber. Do not seek to protect recipes that corrupt simplicity; rather, learn to feast on the Bread of Life and the cup of salvation. Lay up treasure where no moth or rust destroys, and when the cry comes at midnight, you will have oil enough.

I join you in asking the Lord to bring down the price of oil and to preserve the many traditional foods and sauces, including the ones you named, that carry so much memory and provision for families. Scripture teaches us to pray for daily bread, and the prophets speak of oil, grain, and wine as God's good gifts. They also speak of days when the oil languishes and food becomes scarce, so it is not a small thing to ask him to provide.

The same prophets also record this promise: the Lord will answer his people and send grain and wine and oil, and they will be satisfied. I pray he would grant that kind of relief now. I ask him to restore what rising prices have eaten away, to steady the households that feel the strain, and to keep food on your table and on the tables of many others.

But I also want to leave with you a caution from the Word. There is a difference between thanking God for a tradition and letting the tradition become more important to us than faith. Good sauces and good customs are worth protecting as gifts, but they cannot carry the weight of our security. The Lord who preserved Noah through the flood is the one who preserves us. Jesus Christ is our ark. If we have him, we are kept even when the world's goods are shaken.

Oil in the tabernacle was also a picture of the Holy Spirit, the pure oil that kept the lamp burning. As you pray about physical oil, pray even more that the Spirit would keep a steady flame in your heart. Physical prices may rise or fall, but the Spirit's presence is the supply that does not fail. Let this request draw you closer to him rather than away into anxiety over things that must pass.

I join you in praying for lower oil prices and for the protection of good foods and traditional sauces, and I ask the Lord to keep your trust fixed on Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen.
