We lift up this heartfelt prayer to our Heavenly Father, joining with you in intercession for these two souls, a young man and a young woman, and all those connected to their lives. Your request is rooted in love and concern for their eternal well-being, and we stand with you in agreement, believing that God desires all to come to repentance and knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:3-4).

First, we must emphasize that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ. The Bible declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). If these individuals have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict them of their need for a Savior. May they hear the Gospel clearly, respond in faith, and be born again by the power of God’s Spirit (John 3:3-5).

We also pray for those in their lives, family, friends, coworkers, who may not yet know Christ. Let the light of the Gospel shine brightly through believers around them, drawing them to repentance and faith. May these two young people, if they are already believers, be bold witnesses for Christ, reflecting His love and truth in their words and actions (Matthew 5:16).

Father, we ask that You would break any chains of sin, deception, or worldly influence in their lives. If they are entangled in relationships or lifestyles that do not honor You, whether through sexual immorality, idolatry, or ungodly partnerships, we pray for conviction and deliverance. Your Word warns, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). If they are pursuing relationships outside of Your design, we ask for Your intervention to redirect their hearts toward godly spouses who share their faith.

We rebuke any spirit of rebellion, hardness of heart, or resistance to Your truth. May they not be deceived by the lies of this world but instead be drawn to the freedom and joy found only in Christ. If they are struggling with doubt, fear, or past wounds, we pray for Your healing and restoration.

Lord, we also lift up the one who prayed this prayer. Strengthen their faith as they intercede for others. Give them wisdom and courage to speak truth in love if You call them to share the Gospel with these individuals. May they be a vessel of Your grace, pointing others to the hope found in Jesus alone.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved. May Your will be done in each of these lives, and may Your glory be revealed through their testimonies. Amen.

We’re praying this with you, it’s a beautiful, simple cry for the lives of these two young people and everyone connected to them. We don’t know who “a girl” and “a boy” are, but God does, and He hears every name and every need spoken and unspoken.

While we pray, we also remember that God often uses the people who are already near, friends, coworkers, family, even strangers, to draw others toward Him. That doesn’t mean pressure or a perfect speech; a warm conversation, an invitation to church, or simply living in a way that begs the question “what makes you different” can be a quiet, powerful seed. So as we ask for their salvation, we can also ask God to place faithful voices around them, and to give us courage if He puts us in their path.

Sometimes the people we ache for most are so close we forget that we, too, are part of the answer to our own prayer. Not by our own strength, but by His Spirit working through our ordinary love and presence.

Lord, we lift up this girl and this boy to You, wherever they are. You know their hearts, their struggles, and every obstacle to faith. Draw them to Jesus, not just a concept, but a living Saviour who meets them exactly where they are. Bring people into their lives who will show them Your kindness and truth. Save them, and save the people around them, for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.

All true prayer comes from Him, but especially that least selfish and most Christ-like form of prayer called intercession, when the suppliant forgets all about himself and his own needs, and all his pleading, his tears and his arguments are on behalf of others. Intercessory prayer is an act of communion with Christ, for Jesus pleads for the sons of men. It is a part of His priestly office to make intercession for His people. He has ascended up on High to this end and exercises this office continually within the veil.

The way of salvation is to believe on Christ, whom God has laid in Zion for a foundation. What is believing on Him? It is trusting in Him. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. Here is salvation for the blackest of sinners, salvation for all manner of sin, forgiveness for all manner of sin, salvation so full of grace that only God could have conceived it. How simple is that way of salvation! and O, how instantaneous! It takes us some time to move our hand, but a look does not require a moment. Look! look! look! This is the simple method of salvation.

My heart's desire and prayer for them is that they may be saved. Pour out your soul in vehement prayer and say to the Lord, "We will wait upon You." He who has begun this intercession in your heart will not fail to hear. The Holy Spirit not only helps us to intercede but maketh intercession for the saints with groanings which cannot be uttered. Continue, then, in this sacred work, do not cease to plead for that girl and that boy and all those in their lives. Early prayer grows into powerful prayer, and the Lord, who is rich in mercy, hears the cries of His children. Let your prayer return again and again before the throne, for He is a God who answers the pleadings of His people. Glory be to God for such a rich salvation as this.

You do well to pray for the salvation of a girl and a boy, and for those in their life. Such intercession is a mark of love, and the prayer of the faithful, offered in Christ's name, is a mighty weapon. But be not deceived into thinking that prayer alone suffices if the one who prays remains asleep. For if we are negligent in our own conduct, neither hearing nor doing, and add to this an unlawful prayer, what hope have we? We are always in need of prayer, yet if we sleep, the help of others will profit us nothing.

Consider this: even Paul did not say, What need have I of prayer? though those who prayed for him were not his equal. Peter, when he was in prison, had the whole Church praying earnestly for him, and an angel delivered him. Yet Peter did not rely on the prayers of others while he himself slumbered in faith. You too, though you pray rightly for these souls, must also be on the alert yourself. Do not place yourself in a situation where you think you have no need of prayer. On this account you need it most, because you think you have none.

And remember, the desire for their salvation is itself a good gift, but God desires not merely that we ask for others, but that we ourselves turn to Him with our whole heart. For the Lord said, Lest at any time they should be converted, and I should heal them, not to reject them, but to draw them, showing that their conversion is possible and that upon their repentance they may be saved. If we first make God propitious by our own earnest supplication and a life turned from sin, then as we go forth into the daily tempest of this world, we shall have no enemy that can prevail. Pray then for them, but let your own life be a ceaseless sacrifice of thanksgiving, so that the salvation won by the cross may be seen not only in your words but in your deeds.

It is truly beautiful that your heart is drawn to pray so specifically for this girl and this boy, and for the people in their lives. Your request reflects a deep desire to see them held securely within the salvation that only God can give. And you are right to bring them before the throne of grace, for the very name of Jesus means “Jehovah is salvation.” He is the horn of salvation, the power of God raised up to rescue the lost. So when you cry out for these two, you are asking the One who delights to answer such a prayer.

The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all people. It is not hidden, and it is not withheld. It is a great salvation, completely open. Jesus himself promised that whoever comes to him he will never cast out. So you never need to wonder if they somehow fall outside his reach. Whether they are bound by confusion, indifference, or open rebellion, this salvation reaches the lowest sinner. It is not something earned by religious performance or secured by a past ceremony or a fleeting childhood experience. Our hope rests on a living relationship with Jesus Christ, received through simple faith. It is God’s own work, a gift of such pure grace that no one can boast. We are his workmanship, his poem.

At the same time, do not let the urgency slip. Now is the accepted time; now is the day of salvation. The person who neglects so great a salvation has no other escape. Keep praying with that holy immediacy. And when you feel the weight of not knowing exactly how to pray for them, remember that the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings that go deeper than words. He interprets your longing heart according to the will of God. So your prayer, brief as it is, is already being gathered into perfect intercession.

Think of that desperate father Jairus. He came to Jesus on behalf of his little twelve-year-old girl, and it seemed that time ran out. Human hope died when the news came that she was dead. But Jesus turned the delay into a greater display of his power. He took her by the hand and she arose. Our sense of timing must bow to his, but his compassion never fails. He may be working even now in ways you cannot see. The Lord is patient, not wanting any to perish, and he often waits for the perfect fruit of the harvest.

So continue to lift this girl and this boy to him, along with those around them. Salvation is the inheritance of every soul who confesses Jesus as Lord and believes that God raised him from the dead. It is a sure hope, anchored in his finished work, not in our feelings or circumstances. Rest in that, and let your prayers be filled with both peace and persistence.
