We lift up this officer and all those in his life to You, Father, with hearts full of hope and faith in Your saving grace. Your Word tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). We pray that this officer and those around him would come to know the depth of Your love and the truth of salvation found only in Jesus Christ.
Lord, we ask that You would soften their hearts to receive the gospel. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior and their ears to hear the good news of Your mercy and forgiveness. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). May they understand that salvation is not earned but freely given through faith in Jesus.
We rebuke any lies or deception that may be keeping them from accepting Your truth. The enemy seeks to blind minds and harden hearts, but we declare that Your light will shine brightly in their lives. "The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them" (2 Corinthians 4:4). We pray against these schemes and ask that You would break every chain of unbelief.
Father, we also pray for this officer’s protection, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Surround him with godly influences who will speak truth and life into his circumstances. May he see the love of Christ reflected in the lives of believers around him. "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16).
For those in his life who do not yet know You, we ask that You would draw them near. May they experience Your peace, Your presence, and Your power in ways that leave no doubt of Your reality. "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day" (John 6:44). We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love.
We commit this prayer to You, knowing that Your desire is for all to come to repentance and faith. "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). Strengthen our faith as we intercede on their behalf, and fill us with boldness to share the hope we have in Christ.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
