We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who is bound by spirits of anger, retaliation, and evil. The Word of God tells us in Ephesians 4:26-27, "Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil." Anger itself is not sinful, but when it festers and turns into bitterness, retaliation, or ungodly rage, it opens the door for the enemy to gain a foothold. We must recognize that these spirits do not come from God, for 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."
We rebuke every spirit of anger, retaliation, and wickedness that has taken root in this life. In the name of Jesus Christ, we command these spirits to loose their grip and flee, for James 4:7 says, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We stand on the authority of Jesus’ name, for there is power in His name to break every chain. Acts 4:12 reminds us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Father, we pray for a deep and genuine repentance in this heart. Psalm 51:10-12 says, "Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me. Don’t throw me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation. Uphold me with a willing spirit." Lord, we ask that You would soften this heart, convict it of sin, and lead it to true repentance. May this soul turn away from wickedness and seek Your face with humility and brokenness. We know that You are faithful and just to forgive sins and cleanse from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
We also pray for deliverance from every evil influence. The enemy seeks to destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that this life is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against it shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over every area of bondage, and we ask for Your healing and restoration to flow.
Lord, we ask that You would fill this heart with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Replace anger with love, retaliation with forgiveness, and wickedness with righteousness. May this soul walk in the light of Your truth and experience the freedom that comes from knowing You. We pray for a transformation that can only come from You, for 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."
We commit this prayer to You, trusting in Your mercy and grace. May this soul find hope, healing, and deliverance in You alone. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
