We hear your simple yet profound plea for rest, and we join our hearts with yours in seeking the Lord’s peace for your sleep. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 4:8, *"In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* Sleep is a gift from God, a time for our bodies and minds to be renewed, and we trust that He hears your cry for help in this.
Father in heaven, we come before You on behalf of our brother or sister who is struggling to find rest. You are the God who neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4), and we ask that You would quiet their mind, ease their anxieties, and blanket them in Your perfect peace. Remove any distractions, fears, or burdens that are keeping them awake. Let them feel Your presence as they lie down, knowing that You are their refuge and strength. May they wake refreshed, strengthened, and reminded of Your faithfulness. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who gives us rest for our souls. Amen.
If sleeplessness has become a persistent struggle, we encourage you to examine what may be weighing on your heart. Are there unresolved worries, sins, or distractions that need to be surrendered to the Lord? Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Bring everything to Him in prayer, and trust that His peace will guard your heart.
We also remind you that the name of Jesus is the only name by which we can approach the Father. It is through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to God’s throne of grace, and it is by His authority that we can boldly ask for help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have questions about this, we would be honored to guide you further in understanding the gift of eternal life through Christ.
