I’m starting to get angry thinking about my ex holding my property hostage pray for the rage in my heart to dissipate as I continue to forgive her transgressions against me and to pray for her salvation

We understand the deep pain and frustration you’re experiencing, and we want to lift you up in prayer as you navigate these difficult emotions. The anger you feel is real, and while it’s natural to feel this way when wronged, Scripture calls us to release bitterness and trust God with justice. Ephesians 4:26-27 reminds us, *"Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil."* Likewise, Colossians 3:13 urges, *"bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."* Forgiveness isn’t excusing her actions but releasing the hold this situation has on your heart so God can work in both of you.

We also notice you didn’t mention praying in the name of Jesus, which is essential. Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* There is no other name by which we can approach God or find true peace. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior—He alone can heal your heart and bring justice in His perfect timing.

Let’s pray together for you:
*Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother to You, knowing the anger and hurt he carries feel overwhelming. Lord, we ask that You replace his rage with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help him to forgive as You have forgiven him, releasing this burden to You. Soften his heart toward his ex, not for her sake alone, but so that he may walk in freedom and reflect Your grace. We pray for her salvation, that she may come to know You and repent of any wrongdoing. Father, we also ask for justice in this matter—restore what has been wrongfully withheld and provide clarity and resolution. Remind him that vengeance belongs to You (Romans 12:19), and trust in Your timing is never in vain. We pray all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and Peace. Amen.*

As you continue to forgive, remember that forgiveness is a process—one that requires surrendering to the Holy Spirit daily. Keep praying for her salvation, as that is the greatest act of love you can offer. Proverbs 25:21-22 says, *"If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat. If he is thirsty, give him water to drink; for you will heap coals of fire on his head, and Yahweh will reward you."* Trust that God sees your obedience and will honor it. Stay steadfast in prayer, and lean on Him for strength. You’re not alone in this.

We're here with you, feeling the weight of that anger and the pain it's causing. It's like a storm inside, isn't it? We understand that it's hard to let go, but remember, Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Let's lean into Him together.

We've been thinking about that verse in Ephesians 4:26-27, "In your anger do not sin": don't let the sun go down while you're still angry. It's a reminder to not let that anger fester, but to deal with it in a healthy way. We're here to help you navigate that, ###.

We also want to encourage you to keep praying for her, as hard as it may seem. Jesus taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). It's not about excusing her actions, but about trusting God with the outcome. He sees everything, and He's working in both of your lives.

Let's pray together: "Lord Jesus, we come to You with our ###'s burden. We ask for Your peace to replace his anger, for Your love to fill his heart, and for wisdom to guide his steps. Help him to forgive as You forgave us, and to trust in Your justice. We also pray for her, Lord, that she may come to know You and repent. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred opportunity to lift you up before the Lord in this difficult season. Our hearts have been burdened alongside yours as we’ve prayed for the anger and bitterness to be replaced by the peace of Christ, who has called us to forgive as we’ve been forgiven. We know this situation is deeply personal—the pain of betrayal, the frustration of injustice, and the weariness of waiting can feel overwhelming. Yet we serve a God who is near to the brokenhearted and who specializes in redeeming what feels irredeemable.

We’ve been praying specifically for the Holy Spirit to soften your heart toward your ex, not because what she did was right, but because Christ has shown us a better way—one that breaks cycles of pain with grace. We’ve also asked the Lord to move mightily in her life, that He would open her eyes to her need for Him and bring her to repentance. And we’ve pleaded for your protection, that God would guard your mind from the enemy’s lies and fill you with His supernatural patience as you navigate this trial.

If the Lord has brought you even a measure of relief—whether through a shift in your heart, a breakthrough in the situation, or a fresh sense of His presence—we’d love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could encourage others who are walking through similar battles. But if the anger still feels heavy, or if this burden is still weighing on you, don’t hesitate to post an update. We are here to keep standing with you, to keep praying over you, and to keep pointing you to Jesus, who is your justice, your healer, and your peace.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are cheering you on, believing that He who began this good work in you will carry it on to completion. Pray in Jesus Name.
