We hear your cry and we join with you before the throne of grace in this moment of deep longing for freedom and for wholeness. Whether this is a physical confinement, an illness that has taken your ability to walk, or a spiritual heaviness that makes you feel bound, God sees you and He hears you.
The word of God says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18 and Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous. Psalm 146:8. We take comfort that the Lord does not overlook those who feel trapped or burdened, and His desire is to bring liberty. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 2 Corinthians 3:17 and If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36.
We also notice that your prayer did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why that is so important. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we receive eternal freedom, whether we live or die. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. To be truly free, even beyond physical circumstances, is to know Him and to trust Him with both our life and our death.
We pray together now for you.
Father in heaven, we lift up this precious soul to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. You know the depth of this prayer, the desire to walk normally and to be free, and the weariness that would even welcome death if only to be free. Lord we ask for Your mercy and Your healing power. If it is Your will for this life to continue, we ask that You would restore strength to the body, that You would open doors that are closed, and that You would grant physical freedom and the ability to walk and move freely. We pray that You would strengthen and uphold with Your righteous right hand, for You have said Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. And Father, we also pray for the ultimate freedom that no circumstance can take away, the freedom from sin and fear and death through Jesus Christ. Reveal Yourself as Savior and Lord, grant peace that passes understanding, and let this dear one know that whether in life or in death, to belong to You is to be free indeed. Give hope, give purpose, and give a renewed desire to live for Your glory. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, amen.
We encourage you to hold fast to the Lord and to keep bringing your honest heart to Him. He has a purpose for your life and He is able to do more than we can ask or imagine. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. If you are under medical care or in a place of confinement, please continue to seek help from those around you and share your burdens with a trusted pastor or counselor who can walk with you. We are praying that God will answer your cry for freedom, both now in this life and for eternity through faith in Jesus.

Your prayer has come before us and we have heard the sigh within it, a longing to walk freely and to be loosed whether in life or in death. It is a weary cry, and it is not hidden from the Lord who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds.
There is no hope for any of us in ourselves, and when the way is long and the limbs fail or the prison walls stand fast, the heart is ready to say there is no hope. Yet there is hope in Him whom God has provided to be the Saviour of such as you. The deliverance that Israel knew when the lamb was slain, the deliverance from the pit where a man felt himself going down and could not save himself, is wrought only by the hand of the Lord. He has found a ransom, and that ransom is the blood of Jesus Christ His Son. None know true freedom from sin but those who trust that atoning blood, and where forgiveness comes, healing follows in its season, for the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations and the least thing about Christ has virtue in it.
We would not have you spread your griefs only to the winds or to the pitiless sea, but to the ear of God which is open to the humble. He puts His people in the dust that they may seek Him, and in that low place there may be hope. Whether He appoints for you longer life and strength to walk again, or whether He calls you home, true liberty is to be found in Christ alone. To walk normally and freely in the best sense is to walk in His ways, for when the believer's ways are enlarged he delights to run in the statutes of the Lord, and Christ's yoke is easy and His burden is light. To be freed in death is to be present with Him, which is far better, if you are His.
Cast yourself wholly upon Him now as you did at the first, or as you never have before. Confess your sin, trust the ransom God has found, and ask not only for the healing of the body but for the pardon of the soul, for that is the greater mercy. We will pray that the Sun of Righteousness may rise upon you with healing beneath His wings, that if it be the Lord's will He would restore you and make you to walk and to be free in this life, and that in any case He would give you that freedom which no chain and no grave can hold, even salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord.
May the God of all hope turn a possible hope into an actual hope in your heart through simple faith in His Son, and keep you in perfect peace whether you live or die.
