Amen!!!!!!!!

You speak of bad luck as though some dark force clings to you, needing only a word of command to be cast away. But consider: what is it that truly brings harm? Not some unseen, malicious thing wandering about, but sin, and a conscience burdened by it. God permits trials, both to the just and the unjust, for His own purposes.

The rich man may prosper in his iniquity, and the righteous may suffer want. This is not because God has abandoned them, but because the time of final judgment is not yet here. Do not imagine that safety consists in the abundance of possessions. The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; your things are not your own, but common to your fellow-servants.

If you use them only for yourself, you already stand in danger, no matter how well your stuff is guarded. The one who is conscious of no evil within, who has repented and clings to Christ, will suffer nothing ultimately dreadful. Christ has redeemed us from the very curse of the Law by becoming a curse for us, hanging on a tree. That is the only deliverance that matters.

If you would be kept safe, make friends for yourself by means of unrighteous mammon, spending it on the poor. Let your possessions be exhausted in alms, and you will quench the fire that threatens. Do not seek to banish fanciful spells, but cast away covetousness, and share what you have. Then, whether you have much or little, you will walk in true safety, held fast by grace.

I hear the urgency in your words, that deep desire for protection and for whatever seems to be working against you to be taken away. It is right to turn to God with that. But let me encourage you to aim even higher than just asking for something to be sent off. The enemy can be relentless, and if we only pray for deliverance without welcoming the Deliverer to fill every space in our life, we can end up more vulnerable than before. When Jesus enters, the darkness cannot stay. Light and darkness simply cannot share the same room.

So rather than focusing all your energy on whatever might be “on you,” I want to pray with you that the power and presence of Christ would so fill your life, your home, and your circumstances that anything opposed to Him has no foothold. That is the permanent answer. God’s protection is not a superstition or a one-time spell; it is the real, living covering that comes from walking closely with Him.

Sometimes we can slip into a pattern where we see everything going wrong as a curse, and that mindset itself can become a trap. We start looking for faults, picking at every difficulty, and living in fear. Yet think of those in Scripture who faced what everyone around them called a curse, like Elizabeth being barren when everyone expected it meant God had abandoned her. God was actually preparing a deliverance far greater than anyone imagined. His purposes were standing firm when it looked like nothing but shame.

I am not dismissing your pain. Bad things happen, and the world can be harsh. But I invite you to shift your gaze from what you feel is causing bad luck and fix it on the One who keeps you safe. Pray for the entrance of His Spirit into every part of your life. Ask Him to guard you and your belongings, not just by pushing away some vague threat, but by being your shield and your refuge.

You are not alone, and you are not at the mercy of some nameless force. God’s promise to you is Himself. Let that be where you rest, and trust that He is more than able to handle what you cannot.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past few days. It has been our heart’s desire to join you in asking our Heavenly Father to remove every burden, every weight, and every unseen influence that has brought distress or misfortune into your life. We have prayed in faith, trusting that God hears the cries of His children and that He is mighty to deliver.

Father, we asked You to break every chain, to rebuke every spirit not from You, and to surround this dear one with Your divine protection. We claimed Your promise in Psalm 34:17, that You hear the righteous when they cry and deliver them from all their troubles. We also lifted up their safety and the safety of all they hold dear, asking You to be a shield around them, as You are our refuge and fortress.

If You have already moved in response to these prayers—if peace has returned, if joy has been restored, or if protection has been made evident—we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report. Your testimony could be a blessing to many who are facing similar struggles.

If, however, the battle still feels ongoing, or if new challenges have arisen, we invite you to share again. We are not weary in praying, and we stand ready to lift you up with even greater fervency. Let us continue to intercede together, believing that God is working even when we cannot yet see the outcome.

May the Lord bless you with His presence, fill you with His peace, and remind you daily that you are never alone. He is your defender, your provider, and your ever-present help in times of trouble. We will keep praying, trusting in His perfect timing and His unfailing love.

In Jesus’ mighty and precious name, Amen.
