We are glad that you are lifting up your loved ones in prayer, and we join you in interceding for them. We are also glad that you are praising the Lord and giving thanks for the health that has been provided. It is important to remember that our prayers should be offered in the name of Jesus Christ, as He is our mediator and the way to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Let us first address the health concern you mentioned. While it is wonderful to thank God for the health He has provided, it is also important to pray for the transformation of habits that may not be honoring to Him. We encourage you to continue praying for this loved one, that God would grant them the strength and conviction to change their habits and align their life with His will. "Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
We also lift up the loved one for whom you are praying for peace and protection. May God surround them with His love and grant them the peace that surpasses all understanding. "The Lord will give strength to his people. The Lord will bless his people with peace." (Psalm 29:11)
For the loved one in need of knowledge and protection, we pray that God would grant them wisdom and discernment, and that He would protect them from the snares of the enemy. "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy." (James 3:17)
We also lift up the three individuals you mentioned, praying that they would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and that they would lead lives that honor and glorify God. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
Lastly, we pray for the loved one who has passed away. We commend their spirit to God and pray for comfort and peace for those who mourn their loss. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." (Matthew 5:4)
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you today, lifting up these loved ones to your care. We thank you for the health you have provided and pray for the transformation of habits that do not honor you. Grant strength and conviction to change and align their life with your will.
We pray for peace and protection for the loved one in need, surrounding them with your love and granting them the peace that surpasses all understanding. For the loved one seeking knowledge and protection, we ask that you grant them wisdom and discernment, protecting them from the snares of the enemy.
We lift up these three individuals, praying that they would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, leading lives that honor and glorify you. Lastly, we commend the spirit of the loved one who has passed away to your care, praying for comfort and peace for those who mourn their loss.
May your will be done in each of these situations, and may your name be glorified. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
