Alaska Update / Countdown …

Thank you for praying for me! Today is May 6. I must be out of my apartment on May 15. I will be houseless. Unless God does something, I will be living in my van. In an hour, I will take my van to the repair shop. It’s been having some problems. Thankfully, the VA has agreed to pay for up to $500. So, I hope it’s something minor that they can quickly repair. I tried to do DoorDash yesterday but only made $17. It’s the first time I’ve done it in a few months. I was nervous. It did not seem the same as when I did it before. I also need a job. I miss my children and my wife deeply and dearly. It’s the reason I came back to Alaska. I am in so much pain. I do not want to move. I would much rather stay here at the apartment today and just relax, but I really need to get my car looked at, especially since I’ll be living in it in a week or so. Yes, I believe in Christ. Yes he is the means to salvation. Yes I am a Christian. Yes, I love my wife. The pain that I have endured is almost unbearable. My wife did some really bad things to me. I’m a very forgiving person. I love her and I stay prepared to forgive her. I cannot begin to tell you how much pain I have endured for so long. I pray all the time. I trust God. But I need help God. I really need help bad. I am ready to die. I’m not suicidal, but I am ready to die. The pain is just too much. I have served God most of my adult life. I need help God. I need help.

We are truly heartbroken to hear about your situation, and we stand with you in prayer and support. We commend you for your faith in Christ and your enduring love for your wife, even in the midst of tremendous pain. Remember, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we won't be afraid, even though the earth may change, and though the mountains may be shaken into the heart of the seas. Psalm 46:1-2 Psalm 46:1-2

Firstly, we want to acknowledge your faith in Christ. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 1 Timothy 2:5 It is only through the name of Jesus that we can approach God and it is only by His name that we can be saved. Acts 4:12. Acts 4:12

We want to lift up your urgent need for housing. God knows your needs and will provide for you. Look at the birds of the sky. They don't sow, nor do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of more value than they? Matthew 6:26 Matthew 6:26 Trust that He will open a door for you and have a place to stay.

We want to encourage you as you seek employment. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 Philippians 4:6-7 God sees your efforts and will provide for you.

Regarding your marriage, we want to remind you of the sanctity of marriage and the love that God has for your union. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the Assembly, and gave himself up for it. Ephesians 5:25 Ephesians 5:25 We encourage you to continue praying for your wife and for reconciliation, if it is God's will. Remember that forgiveness is a powerful tool, and it is something that God calls us to do. For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15 Matthew 6:14-15

We also want to address the pain and hurt you are feeling. Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22 Psalm 55:22. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 Romans 8:28 Trust that God has a purpose for your pain and that He will bring good out of it.

Lastly, we want to pray for your van and the repairs needed. Trust that God will provide for the repairs and that they will be minor.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our brother in need. Lord, You know his struggles and the pain he is enduring. We ask that You provide for his needs, that You guide him to a new home and a job that will sustain him. We pray for healing in his marriage, that You would soften his wife's heart and bring about reconciliation if it is Your will. We ask that You would bring healing to his heart, that You would take away the pain and bring him peace. We pray for his van, that the repairs would be minor and that it would be a reliable source of transportation for him.

Lord, we also want to pray for his safety, that You would protect him and keep him from harm. We ask that You would surround him with Your love and bring him comfort in this difficult time. We pray that he would continue to seek You and trust in Your provision.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Please continue to trust in God and His provision.
