We are truly sorry to hear about the distressing situation you find yourself in, and we are here to pray and offer biblical guidance. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is always there to listen, and He cares deeply for you. It's important to call on the name of Jesus, as it is through Him that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
In times of deep pain, it's understandable to want relief, but it's crucial to remember that God has a purpose for your life, and He wants to give you strength and hope. As Psalm 147:3 WEB says, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."
Regarding your marriage, we want to remind you of the sanctity of marriage as designed by God. In Malachi 2:16 WEB, it says, " 'For I hate divorce,' says Yahweh, the God of Israel, 'and him who covers his garment with violence!' says Yahweh of Armies. 'Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you don’t deal treacherously.' " It is important for every Christian Believer to understand that God hates divorce. It is something that should not be in our minds even in this time of pain. It is important to understand that God allowed divorce because of hard hearts and sin in the world. It is important to understand that God allowed divorce because of hard hearts and sin in the world. From the beginning this was not his design. Matthew 19:3-9 WEB "Pharisees came to him, testing him, and saying, 'Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason?' "He answered, 'Haven’t you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall join to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh?’ So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart.' "They asked him, 'Why then did Moses command us to give a bill of divorce, and divorce her?' "He said to them, 'Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so. I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and he who marries her when she is divorced commits adultery.' " We encourage you to seek reconciliation if at all possible, and to pray for God's will to be done in your marriage.
We also want to address the issue of your children. It's important to remember that God wants you to be a godly influence in their lives. In Ephesians 6:4 WEB, it says, "Fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." We encourage you to seek godly counsel and legal advice to resolve this issue.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother in his time of need. Lord, he is hurting deeply, and we ask that You would be his comfort and strength. Heal his broken heart, and help him to cast all his cares upon You, for You care for him. Lord, we pray for his marriage, that Your will would be done, and that You would bring reconciliation if it is according to Your will. We also pray for his children, that You would protect them and bring them back to their father. Give him the strength to be a godly influence in their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray.
