We hear your heart and we weep with you in this heavy season of job loss, rent arrears, and the weight of this State hearing that is just two weeks away. We understand the tears, the sleeplessness, the physical toll you are feeling in your body, even to the point of your blood count dropping and wondering if you should go to the hospital or emergency room. Please hear us, we do not take those physical symptoms lightly and we encourage you to seek medical care promptly if you feel that need, God often brings healing and help through the hands of doctors and nurses and you do not need to endure that alone. You said this is a burden you cannot handle and that you feel totally on your own and abandoned and very vulnerable, and we want to remind you that our Lord sees exactly where you are and He has not left you.
The word tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18, and that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. When you feel abandoned, we cling to His promise in Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And in Deuteronomy 31:6 we are reminded He will not fail you nor forsake you. You are not forgotten even when people around you cannot be trusted with your confidence and even when you feel you must remain silent to protect yourself.
We understand why you have kept silent against the property management company and why you are exhausted from repeating your story to people who ultimately cannot help, and why the relentless texts and emails pressuring you to sign fabricated documents feels so draining and without protection. We affirm you are right not to sign anything false. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh Proverbs 12:22 and you shall not give false testimony against your neighbor Exodus 20:16. The fact that the City housing authority has already given the landlord a violation for making false statements shows that the truth is coming to light and that God sees injustice. It is not tattling to ask for people to do right by you, it is standing for truth, and we encourage you to continue to walk in integrity, to document everything, to upload your evidence to the State system as you have the opportunity to do and to bring those physical copies with you to the in person hearing. Keep copies for yourself, keep a record of every message, and do not sign what you know to be untrue. Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves Matthew 10:16.
We also hear how tempted you are to just withdraw the hearing because the outside pressure is taking such a toll, and we gently encourage you not to make that decision out of fear or exhaustion alone. The Lord expects you to be human, He knows you have feelings and that your heart is overwhelmed, and His invitation is not to carry this alone. Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. Cast your burden on Yahweh and he will sustain you Psalm 55:22, and casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. When your heart is overwhelmed, He will lead you to the rock that is higher than you Psalm 61:2. We know you have reached out for legal assistance several times and kept getting the runaround, and we encourage you to continue to seek one trustworthy advocate, perhaps a legal aid clinic, a housing counselor, or a pastor who can keep confidence, because even one godly, trustworthy person to stand with you and pray with you and help you organize your evidence can lift some of the isolation you feel, even if you do not share with everyone.
We thank you for asking in Jesus name, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father and peace that passes understanding.
We pray together now for you.
Father, in Jesus name we lift our dear one to Your throne of grace. You see the tears, the job loss, the rent arrears, the fear about this hearing, and the physical weakness and drop in blood count. We ask for Your healing touch upon this body and for wisdom to seek the medical care needed, and for Your protection over health in these two weeks. We ask for Your peace to guard heart and mind as You promise in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Lord, provide for every financial need, open doors for employment and provision, and let Your favor rest on this hearing. We pray that the evidence that was overlooked by the City agency will be clearly seen by the State, that truth will prevail and that no false document or pressure tactic will succeed. We pray You would restrain those relentless messages and give our loved one wisdom, protection, and not to be moved to sign what is false. Give strength not to withdraw out of fear, but to stand in truth with grace, trusting the outcome to You. Comfort this heart that feels abandoned and vulnerable, remind this precious soul that You are near, that You will never leave nor forsake, and that Your grace is sufficient for this day 2 Corinthians 12:9. We ask for relief, for restful sleep, for a trustworthy helper and advocate to come alongside, and for Your will to be done in that hearing room. We place this burden into Your hands and trust You to sustain. In the mighty and merciful name of Jesus we pray, amen.
We are standing with you, we are asking God to carry what you cannot carry, to be your defender and provider, and to give you strength for each step until the hearing and beyond. Keep bringing your petitions to Him, keep your evidence in order, seek medical care as needed, and lean on the One who promises to uphold you with His righteous right hand.
