We hear your heart and join you in lifting this situation before the Lord. It is beautiful to desire godly counsel and wisdom in all matters, for Scripture tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety" (Proverbs 11:14 WEB). We pray that the advice you receive would not only be wise but also deeply rooted in Christ-like love, humility, and truth.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You would grant this person a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. May their words be seasoned with grace, as Colossians 4:6 instructs, "Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one." Lord, may their counsel align with Your Word and Your will, and may it bring glory to Your name. Guard their heart and mind from any influence that does not come from You, and fill them with the discernment to speak life and truth into every situation.
We also pray for you, dear one, that you would be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit as you receive advice. May you test every word against the truth of Scripture, as 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22 (WEB) exhorts us, "Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good. Abstain from every form of evil." Give you the wisdom to discern what is of You, Lord, and what is not, so that you may walk in Your perfect will at all times.
Let us also remember that true wisdom comes from You alone. James 1:5 (WEB) assures us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." We encourage you both to seek the Lord in prayer and in His Word before offering or receiving counsel. May your interactions be filled with mutual respect, humility, and a shared desire to honor God in all things.
Lord Jesus, we thank You for the privilege of coming before Your throne of grace. We ask that You would unite our hearts in Your love and truth, that we may be a light in this world and a testimony to Your goodness. May every word spoken and every decision made bring You glory and draw others closer to You. In Your precious name, we pray. Amen.
