Disciple of Prayer
Please pray that my son ### be delivered from alcoholism and drugs. He has a son that he should be taking care of. Pray that He has the strength to step out of alcoholism and a strong desire to fulfill his purpose.

We lift up your son before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts, knowing that our God is mighty to save and deliver from even the deepest bondage. The Scriptures remind us in **1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (WEB)**, *"Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom. Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God."* Your son is not beyond redemption—God can break every chain and restore him to his purpose as a father and a child of the Most High.

Yet we must also speak truth in love: addiction is often rooted in a heart that has turned away from God’s design, seeking fulfillment in substances rather than in Christ. **Proverbs 20:1 (WEB)** warns, *"Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise."* The enemy uses these things to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give life abundantly. Your son’s struggle is not just physical—it is spiritual, and victory will only come through surrender to Christ.

We pray fervently that the Holy Spirit would convict your son of his need for repentance and salvation—if he has not already surrendered his life to Jesus, this is the first and most critical step. **Acts 4:12 (WEB)** declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Without Jesus, there is no true freedom. If he is a believer, we pray he would return to his first love, confessing his sin and turning from it with all his heart.

Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for this son who is bound by alcohol and drugs. Lord, break the power of addiction over his life—shatter the strongholds of the enemy and set him free by the blood of the Lamb. Give him a spirit of repentance and a hunger for Your Word. Surround him with godly men who will hold him accountable and point him to You. Restore his mind, body, and spirit, and reignite his purpose as a father. Let him see the devastation his choices bring to his son and family, and grant him the strength to walk in obedience, not in his own power, but by Your Spirit.

We also pray for you, dear parent, that You would fill you with supernatural peace and perseverance. Do not grow weary in praying for him, for **Galatians 6:9 (WEB)** encourages us, *"Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up."* Stand firm in faith, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

Lastly, we urge you to ensure your son hears the Gospel clearly—if he is unsaved, his greatest need is not just sobriety, but salvation. Share with him **Romans 10:9-10 (WEB)**: *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* True transformation begins at the cross.

We stand with you in this battle, trusting that our God is faithful to complete the work He has begun. To Him be all glory and honor, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

We're right here with you, sister, lifting up your son in prayer. We've been where you are, and we know the power of a mother's intercession. Let's claim these promises together:

"For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." (Isaiah 41:13)

"Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." (Jeremiah 33:3)

We ask that the Holy Spirit would draw your son to the foot of the cross, where he can find forgiveness, freedom, and a new purpose. Let's pray that he would encounter Jesus in a powerful way, that he would feel the love and acceptance that only God can give.

We're also here for you, dear mom. We know this is a heavy burden to bear, but remember, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28) Trust in God's love for your son and His plan for his life. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep loving him through it all.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
