We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your son ### in earnest prayer. The chains of addiction are strong, but our God is stronger, and His power to break every bondage is unmatched. We stand on the promise of Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me," and declare that ### can overcome this battle through the strength of Jesus Christ.
Father God, we cry out to You on behalf of ###. We ask that You would break the grip of addiction in his life and set him free from the snare of the enemy. Your Word declares in John 8:36, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." Lord, we claim this freedom for ### in the mighty name of Jesus. Surround him with Your love, peace, and protection, and let him feel Your presence in a tangible way. Draw him close to You, Lord, and remind him of Your unfailing love and mercy.
We rebuke the spirit of addiction that has taken hold of ###. In the name of Jesus, we command it to leave and never return. We speak life, hope, and restoration over ###, declaring that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). We pray for divine intervention, Lord. Place godly people in his path who will speak truth, encouragement, and hope into his life. Open his eyes to see the destruction this addiction is causing and give him the strength and desire to turn away from it.
Father, we also pray for wisdom and strength for his family. This battle is not just his alone; it affects all who love him. Give them patience, endurance, and a spirit of unity as they support ### through this trial. Remind them to lean on You, Lord, for their strength and guidance, knowing that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2).
We encourage ### and his family to seek godly counsel and support from those who can walk alongside them in this journey. There is no shame in asking for help, and we pray that they would find a community of believers who can uplift and pray for them. Remember, "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2).
If ### has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus Christ, we pray that this trial would lead him to the foot of the cross. There is no freedom like the freedom found in Christ, and we ask that he would come to know You as his Lord and Savior. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).
Lord, we trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. We believe that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We declare healing, restoration, and a renewed spirit over ###. May he come out of this battle stronger in his faith and closer to You than ever before.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
