I am a drug addict please i want to freedom from drugs addiction forever

There is a freedom that the world never talks about. It is not the freedom to do whatever you please, but the freedom not to have to do those things anymore. Many start out chasing a feeling of liberty, only to discover they have handed themselves over to a cruel master. What began as a choice becomes a chain, and soon the drug dictates thoughts, actions, and desires. That is not freedom; it is bondage.

But Jesus Christ came to set captives free. He has authority over every power of sin that holds a life, including drug addiction. I have seen His hand deliver people from hard substances, breaking what seemed unbreakable. He does not simply make people behave better, He renews the mind, restores judgment, and gives back the power to say no. The chemical hooks may be deep, but His Spirit goes deeper. Where the drug has been eating away at your capacity for control, He creates a new will and a new desire.

The way out begins with humility. God Himself has promised that if His people will humble themselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways, He will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land, and their lives. He is not waiting for you to become strong enough to quit; He receives you as you are, broken and addicted, and He does the work of deliverance when you cry out to Him in truth.

You must also treat the drug for what it is: an enticement away from the living God. It seeks to dominate your heart and separate you from the life you were made for. Scripture says to put away evil from your midst. That means not only asking for freedom but also removing whatever patterns, places, or companions keep pulling you back. The freedom not to use is something you guard carefully, because it is precious. Some have unwisely exercised their freedom in a way that brought them into bondage, but the path of wisdom leads away from that downfall.

David was far from perfect, yet he was a man after God’s own heart. God took him from following sheep and set him on a throne. He can take you from the grip of addiction and set you on solid ground. He does not treat you as hopeless; He redeems you from the house of bondage just as He redeemed Israel from Egypt. Call on Him now. He is not far off. His ear is open to your cry.

I am praying that you will know the real freedom that only a child of God possesses, the liberty of not having to return to that which wanted to destroy you. You were not made to be a servant of sin. Christ died to wash away the defilement and claim you as His own. Turn to Him fully, and you will discover what it means to be free indeed.
