We hear your heart in this request and we join with you in bringing it before our Father God in the name of our Lord Jesus, and we thank you for calling upon His name, for it is through Him that we have access to the Father and confidence that He hears us.
Please do not be afraid to ask, you are not being ungrateful. Our Father wants us to bring every burden to Him, even when we already have been given much and are trying to be thankful in hard circumstances. We are told in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Your desire for a quiet, clean, and peaceful home where you can rest and be safe is not selfish, it is a good and understandable need, especially as you carry the weight of PTSD and six months of constant noise, stress, and feeling unsafe with strange men hanging around and selfishness over shared facilities.
We understand the fear of being made homeless again and the strain of living hand to mouth, with most of your money going on rent and surviving on reduced food in the evenings, and facing the impossibility of raising a deposit with little support available. The Lord sees all of this, every night of broken peace, every anxious thought, every careful penny, and He cares deeply for you. We are reminded in Psalm 46:1, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. And in Psalm 61:2, When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. He is your rock and your refuge, and He knows your need for a safe dwelling place.
We also take comfort in His promise to provide for His children. In Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And in Matthew 6:31-33, Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. He knows you need a home, provision for rent and a deposit, daily food, and peace for your mind and body.
So together we pray for you now.
Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up our dear one to You. Lord, You know the exhaustion and the stress, the trauma that is stirred by constant noise and lack of peace, and the fear of being homeless again. We ask that You would be their shelter and guard their heart and mind with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray that You would lead them to a new home that is quiet, clean, safe, and affordable, without any gap of homelessness, and that You would make a way where there seems to be no way in this shortage of accommodation. Provide, Lord, for the deposit and every financial need, open doors for favor with landlords and agencies, and bring practical help and provision from Your hand. Protect them from those who cause fear and unease, and let their next dwelling be a place of rest and restoration where they can heal from PTSD and dwell in safety. Help them to cast all their anxiety on You because You care for them, as You tell us in 1 Peter 5:7, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. And in Psalm 34:18, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Draw near, Lord, and let them feel Your nearness and Your love each day as they wait on You. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, Amen.
We encourage you to keep bringing this request to Him daily with thanksgiving, trusting that He hears you, and to keep seeking wise and practical steps as God leads, whether that is staying in contact with housing support, local charities, or trusted community services, even when the system feels overwhelmed. He is faithful, and even when provision is slow, He remains your dwelling place. In Isaiah 41:10 we are reminded, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We are praying with you for peace in your present home until He moves you, for protection each night, and for a clear and peaceful transition to a new home in His perfect timing and provision.
