Abuse

We are so grieved to read what you have shared and we grieve with you over the profound betrayal and wickedness you have endured. What was done to you and to others by your mother and those with her is evil and God sees it as such. It was not your fault, you did not deserve it, and the shame belongs to those who chose to commit such terrible sin. Children are precious in the sight of the Lord and He has a special fierce love and protection for them.

Scripture makes clear how seriously God views harm done to children, but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him that a huge millstone should be hung around his neck, and that he should be sunk in the depths of the sea. Matthew 18:6. We rebuke in the strongest terms the paedophilia and abuse you have described. It is not love, it is not a lifestyle, it is sin and darkness and it stands under the judgment of God unless there is deep repentance and turning to Christ. Vengeance belongs to the Lord and He will repay, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19. Nothing is hidden from Him and He will bring justice in His perfect time, even when earthly justice has failed or is still unfolding.

We also want you to know that God is near to you in this deep wound. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3. The heart of Jesus is to bind up the brokenhearted and to set the captives free. He knows what it is to be betrayed by those who should have loved and protected you, and He offers Himself as a true Father who will never betray, abandon or harm you.

We encourage you with love to not walk through this alone. If you have not already, we urge you to reach out to trusted, safe people, a trauma informed Christian counselor, a biblically faithful pastor, and where appropriate the proper authorities so that you and other vulnerable ones can be protected and justice can be pursued. Healing from such deep trauma is a journey and it is wise and good to seek ongoing godly counsel and professional help. It is also right to establish firm boundaries for your safety, including separation from your mother and anyone who would harm you or deny what was done. Forgiveness in Scripture never means pretending the evil did not happen or putting yourself back in harm's way. God can in time help you to release the burden of vengeance into His hands as part of your healing, but that is a work He does gently in His timing, not something to be forced.

We notice your request did not mention Jesus and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Him that we have access to God and find true healing and salvation. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we invite you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. He alone can wash away sin, carry your pain, and give you a new life and a future hope.

We are praying for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who has been so deeply wounded by the very person who should have nurtured and protected them. Lord, You see every tear, every memory, every night of fear and confusion, and we ask You to surround them with Your presence and Your peace that passes all understanding. Heal the broken heart, bind up the wounds, and quiet the lies of shame and guilt with Your truth that they are precious, loved, and not to blame. We ask for Your protection over them now, for safe relationships, for wise counselors and a faithful church family who will walk with them with gentleness and truth. We pray for justice, Lord, for exposure of darkness and protection for any other children who may be at risk, and we ask that You would give courage and wisdom to all involved in seeking truth. We pray for deep inner healing, for restful sleep, for freedom from flashbacks and fear, and for the power of the cross to break every chain of trauma. If they do not yet know You as Savior, we pray You would draw them to Jesus and let them know the love of a perfect Father. And Father, we even pray for repentance for those who have done this evil, that they would face the weight of their sin and turn to Christ if it is possible, for You desire none to perish. We entrust this dear one into Your hands, asking You to restore what the locusts have eaten and to lead them step by step into wholeness. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, Amen.

We are continuing to pray for you. You are not alone and you are not forgotten. God sees, God cares, and He is able to bring healing and hope even from the darkest valley. Thank you for trusting us with something so painful to put into words. When harm comes from your own mother, and especially in the way you described, it is a profound betrayal. A mother is meant to protect, and what you experienced was the opposite of that. It makes sense if you feel overwhelmed, confused, angry, numb or isolated. None of this was your fault and you did not deserve it.

You do not have to carry this alone. When you are ready, it can help to reach out to one safe person you trust, and alongside prayer, to connect with a counselor or medical professional who understands abuse and trauma. They can walk with you at your own pace and help you think through safety, support and next steps. If memories, sleep or daily life feel very hard right now, letting a professional know is a good step.

Father, we lift this person to you. You see what was done and you know the pain that remains. We ask for protection, for steady and trustworthy help to come alongside, and for wisdom for each next decision. Bring comfort, healing and a sense of being held and valued. Lead toward safety and peace. In Jesus name, amen.

The wound you carry is of the deepest and darkest kind, and to hear that it came through a mother, one whose hands should have guarded and nourished, makes the sorrow cut to the very soul. The unkindness of parents to their children and the betrayal of the nearest bonds are among those forms of grief which break the heart indeed, and yours has been broken by a treachery most black.

Scripture does not look lightly upon such betrayal. Our Lord Himself was betrayed by one who walked with Him and ate at His table, and in that act the sin of man reached its culminating point. Yet even there God showed Himself wiser than the prince of evil, fulfilling His purposes and declaring Christ to be the true and faithful One. Because He was betrayed, He is able to sympathize with you in every point. Not one tear, not one night of sleepless horror, not one pang of shame or anger or grief which you have felt is hidden from Him who was despised and betrayed for us. He knows the sting of intimate treason and He carries your sorrow with a perfect understanding.

There is healing for such a broken heart, but it is not to be found in our own strength or notions. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, and He alone must do it. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ has healing virtue in it. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, and even His leaves, His gentlest touches, His lowest words, change the lifeblood and make the nature new. When He dwells with His people, the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, and pardon and healing are joined together as one. If you come to Him as the poor palsied man lay before Him, hoping and expecting forgiveness and healing, you will find that He gives both. He has begun a work of grace which He will carry on till you shall be without spot or wrinkle, and He will in His own time perfectly heal both soul and body.

What was done by your mother and those with her was evil, grievous sin against God and against the little ones whom Christ loves, and it must be called what it is. To be healed does not mean to call evil good or to pretend that the wound was light. It means to bring the whole truth into the light of Christ, to ask Him to cleanse and to cure, and to trust Him to be your righteousness and your physician. Forgiveness through His blood does not excuse the sin of others nor require you to place yourself or others in danger again. If you have not already done so, seek safety and wise help. Bring faithful pastors and godly counselors around you, and where crimes against children are concerned, let those appointed to protect the innocent do their proper work, that others may be guarded from harm.

Do not bear the guilt of another's sin as if it were your own. You are not defiled by what was done to you or near you, though you feel its stain and pain most keenly. Bring your broken heart to Christ just as it is, prostrate as one lying sick of a fever, and let His hand lift you up. There is a contact to be had with Him by faith, through His Word and prayer, and in that contact there is healing. Hear Him teach, for faith comes by hearing, and the healing power is present when Christ is set forth in the gospel. Come daily to that healing balm which flows from Calvary, rather than to the knife of self reproach.

I pray for you now that the Lord who sees all that has been hidden will be your refuge and your healer. May He give you pardon through the blood of Jesus Christ, peace to your troubled conscience, and a gradual and deep healing to your heart and mind. May He surround you with faithful, truthful people who will walk with you patiently, guard you wisely, and point you ever to Christ. May He establish justice where it is needed and keep all children safe from harm. And may He, who alone can heal the broken hearted, bind up your wounds and make you whole, that out of your healing you may yet know strength to live and to serve Him in newness of life.
