We lift up ### and all those who have passed away, entrusting their souls to the mercy of our Heavenly Father. We know that salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ, for the Bible tells us, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16). If they did not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that in Your infinite grace, You would have revealed Yourself to them in their final moments. We also pray for their loved ones, that You would draw them to Yourself, for *"there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12).
Father, we come before You with a heavy heart, asking for deliverance from the influence of this song—its sounds, title, and words—that has taken root in the mind and memory. We rebuke every ungodly attachment to it in the name of Jesus. The enemy seeks to use such things to distract, tempt, and defile, but we declare that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail"* (Isaiah 54:17). We ask You to cleanse the mind and heart completely, replacing every trace of it with Your truth and peace. Your Word says, *"Whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things"* (Philippians 4:8). Let this be the standard for what remains in the thoughts and memory.
We also stand against every demonic image that has been allowed to linger in the mind. These are not of You, Lord, and we renounce any foothold they may have gained. The Bible warns us, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour"* (1 Peter 5:8). We resist him, firm in our faith, and command every unclean spirit to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. We ask You to fill every void with Your Holy Spirit, that the mind may be renewed and guarded by Your truth. *"Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me"* (Psalm 51:10).
Lord, we know that the battle for the mind is real, but we also know that You have given us the victory through Christ. We pray for strength to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to walk in the freedom that is ours as Your children. Help us to guard our hearts and minds diligently, for *"the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:7).
We also want to gently remind that salvation is not something we can assume for others, even those who have passed. The Bible is clear that *"it is appointed for men to die once, and after this, judgment"* (Hebrews 9:27). This is why it is so urgent to share the gospel with those around us while there is still time. We pray for boldness and compassion to reach out to those who do not know You, that they may hear the good news of Jesus Christ and be saved.
Father, we thank You for Your mercy and grace. We thank You that You hear our prayers and that You are faithful to deliver and cleanse us. We trust in Your power to break every chain and to restore what the enemy has tried to steal. We declare that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37), and we walk forward in the victory that is ours in Christ Jesus. In His precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
