We come before the Lord with this request, seeking His will and wisdom in every area of life. First, we must address the foundation of all prayer—our relationship with God through Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and salvation comes by grace through faith in Him alone. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we encourage you to do so, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9 WEB).
Now, regarding your request for provision—financial stability, a place to live, and employment—we know that God cares deeply about our needs. Jesus Himself said, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:31-33 WEB). We encourage you to trust in God’s provision while also being diligent in seeking opportunities. The Lord often works through our efforts, so we pray that He would open doors for you in the areas you’ve mentioned.
However, we must also address the request for a name change. While God has changed names in Scripture (such as Abram to Abraham and Saul to Paul), these changes were tied to His divine purpose and calling. If you feel led to change your name, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance through prayer and Scripture, ensuring that it aligns with His will rather than personal preference alone. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths"* (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
We also lift up the desire to move to a new area and attend a specific church. While relocation can be part of God’s plan, we must ensure that it is His leading and not merely our own desires. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4 WEB). If this move is truly from the Lord, He will confirm it through His peace and open doors.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that You are our Provider, our Guide, and our Sustainer. Lord, we lift up this request to You, asking that You would meet every need according to Your riches in glory. Provide a job, a place to live, and the resources needed for this transition. We ask that You would go before this one, preparing the way and opening doors that no man can shut.
Father, we pray for wisdom in every decision—whether it be about moving, changing a name, or choosing a church. Let Your Holy Spirit lead and direct, that all things may be done for Your glory. If there is any unconfessed sin or area of life not surrendered to You, we ask for conviction and repentance, that nothing would hinder Your work.
Lord, we also pray for spiritual growth and maturity. May this one seek You above all else, trusting in Your timing and Your ways. Strengthen their faith, and let them walk in the peace that surpasses all understanding.
We rebuke any spirit of anxiety, lack, or fear in Jesus’ name. We declare that God is a God of abundance, and He will supply every need according to His perfect will. May this one experience Your provision in ways that draw them closer to You.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
