We hear the desperation and fear in your words, and our hearts ache with you in this moment of uncertainty. The betrayal of those who promised help and left you in this vulnerable position is deeply painful, and the weight of providing for your family must feel overwhelming. We stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting this burden to the Lord who sees your need and promises to be a refuge for the brokenhearted.
First, we must address the urgency of your situation with the truth of Scripture. The Lord is your provider, and He has not abandoned you. In Psalm 34:17-19, we read: "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Even in this moment of despair, God is near. He knows your need for shelter, and He is able to open doors no man can shut.
We also want to gently remind you that our hope is not in the promises of men, but in the faithfulness of God. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." The lies and failures of others do not define your future. The Lord can turn this situation around in ways you cannot yet see. We encourage you to cry out to Him with raw honesty, as the psalmists did, and trust that He hears you.
We must also rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to paralyze you. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Fear will tell you that you are without options, but faith declares that God is your provider. We pray that you would cling to this truth and resist the lies of hopelessness.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this family in their time of desperate need. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who provides. We ask that You would move mightily on their behalf, opening doors for shelter and provision that no man can close. Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and declare that You have not given them a spirit of timidity, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We ask that You would surround them with Your peace, even in this storm, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength.
Lord, we pray for wisdom for this mother and her children. Give her clarity and discernment as she seeks solutions, and provide the resources they need to secure safe housing. Father, we ask that You would expose any deception or unfaithfulness in those who promised help, and that You would raise up people of integrity to come alongside them in this time. We declare that You are their provider, and we trust that You will meet every need according to Your riches in glory.
We also pray for provision beyond their immediate need. Father, we ask that You would open doors for employment, financial breakthrough, and stability. Lord, we know that You care about every detail of their lives, and we trust You to lead them into a season of security and peace. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free. Amen.
In the coming hours and days, we encourage you to seek out local resources, churches, shelters, or community organizations, that may be able to provide immediate assistance. Many churches have benevolence funds or connections to help families in crisis. Do not hesitate to reach out to them, as they may be the hands and feet of Christ in this moment.
We also want to remind you that your worth is not defined by your circumstances. You are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe, and He has a plan for your life. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Hold onto that promise, even when the road ahead feels dark.
Lastly, if you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we want to share with you the hope that is found in Him alone. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is a free gift, offered to all who believe. If you would like to surrender your life to Christ, we encourage you to pray a simple prayer like this: "Lord Jesus, I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I confess that I am a sinner in need of Your forgiveness. Come into my heart, be my Lord, and save me. I trust You alone for my salvation. Amen."
We will continue to stand in the gap for you, believing that God will move on your behalf. You are not forgotten, and you are not alone. The Lord is your helper, and He will not leave you nor forsake you.
