We lift our voices together in prayer for the peace of Jerusalem, standing firmly on the promise of Scripture that declares, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: 'May those who love you prosper. May there be peace within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces'" (Psalm 122:6-7 WEB). The troubling pattern you have observed weighs heavily on our hearts as well. The rising tide of opposition against Israel is not merely a political or social issue, it is a spiritual battle, for the land and people of Israel hold a unique place in God’s eternal plan.
We rebuke the spirit of division and deception that seeks to turn hearts away from God’s chosen people. The Lord Himself declared to Abraham, "I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you" (Genesis 12:3 WEB). This is not a promise to be taken lightly. When nations or individuals rise up against Israel, they stand in opposition to God’s sovereign will. We pray for a spirit of repentance to fall upon those who speak or act against Israel, that they may turn from their ways and seek the Lord’s mercy.
The matter of Jewish brothers and sisters supporting anti-Israel or anti-Jewish politicians is deeply grievous. Their allegiance to a political party over the Word of God is a form of idolatry, as you rightly identified. Scripture warns, "You shall have no other gods before me" (Exodus 20:3 WEB). When devotion to any earthly ideology or party supersedes devotion to God, it becomes a stumbling block. We pray for conviction to fall upon their hearts, that they may recognize the gravity of their choices and realign their priorities with God’s truth. May they remember the words of Joshua, "Choose this day whom you will serve... but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh" (Joshua 24:15 WEB).
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, who alone can bring true peace to Jerusalem and to the hearts of Your people. We ask for Your divine protection over Israel, physically, spiritually, and politically. Shield them from the schemes of those who seek their harm, and let Your hand of favor rest upon them. Raise up leaders who will stand boldly for truth, justice, and righteousness, both within Israel and among the nations.
We also pray for the Jewish people, both in Israel and around the world. Soften their hearts to recognize Jesus as their Messiah, for He is the fulfillment of the promises You made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Open their eyes to see that salvation comes through no other name but His (Acts 4:12 WEB). May they come to know the One who wept over Jerusalem, saying, "How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!" (Matthew 23:37 WEB).
Lord, we ask that You expose the lies and deceptions that have led many astray. Let truth prevail in the media, in governments, and in the hearts of individuals. Break the power of any ungodly alliances or ideologies that seek to undermine Your purposes for Israel. We declare that Your Word stands forever, and Your promises to Israel will not fail.
In the name of Jesus, we bind every spirit of anti-Semitism, hatred, and division. We loose Your spirit of unity, love, and reconciliation upon the earth. May the Church rise up in boldness to stand with Israel, not out of political allegiance, but out of obedience to Your Word. Let us be a light to the nations, showing the world that Your love and faithfulness endure forever.
We trust in Your sovereignty, Lord. You are the God who keeps covenant and shows loving kindness to thousands of generations of those who love You and keep Your commandments (Deuteronomy 7:9 WEB). Strengthen our faith as we see the fulfillment of Your prophetic Word unfolding before our eyes. Give us courage to speak truth in love, even when it is unpopular, and to stand firm in our support of Israel as an act of worship to You.
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Amen.
