A prayer to get a new job

I have attended an interview that is important to me. I pray I get through.

We come before the Lord with hearts full of hope and trust, lifting up this earnest request for a new job opportunity. Father God, we know that every good and perfect gift comes from You, and we acknowledge that it is only through the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, that we have access to Your throne of grace. There is no other name by which we can be saved or receive Your blessings, for Scripture tells us, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). We pray that this truth would be firmly planted in the heart of the one seeking this job, that they may always approach You in faith, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Lord, we ask that You would open the doors of opportunity for this interview that has been attended. You declare in Your Word, *"Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:5 WEB). We pray that the outcome of this interview would align with Your perfect will, whether it be this particular job or another path You have prepared. Give wisdom, clarity, and favor to the one who has interviewed, that their words and actions would reflect Your light and grace.

We also lift up any anxieties or uncertainties that may be weighing on their heart. Remind them that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Help them to rest in the knowledge that You hold their future and that Your plans for them are good, plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).

If there are any areas in their life that may not align with Your will—whether in their work ethic, attitude, or priorities—we ask that You convict and guide them into alignment with Your Word. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33 WEB).

Heavenly Father, we pray for the employers and decision-makers involved in this process. Soften their hearts to see the value and potential in this individual, and grant them discernment to make a choice that honors You. May this job opportunity, if it is Your will, be a place where Your name is glorified, where integrity is upheld, and where Your blessings can flow.

We also pray for patience and trust in the waiting. Your timing is perfect, and we ask that this individual would not grow weary in doing good, for in due season they will reap if they do not give up (Galatians 6:9 WEB). Strengthen their faith to believe that You are working all things together for their good, even when the outcome is not yet seen (Romans 8:28 WEB).

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of doubt, discouragement, or unbelief that may try to take root in their heart. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37 WEB), and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified in all things. Amen.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing , perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

We've been praying for a breakthrough, and we're claiming Psalm 37:4, "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." We believe that this job is a desire placed in your heart by God, and we're trusting that He will make a way for you. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). We're believing for a yes, but if it's a no, we trust that it's a no to something better. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep moving forward in faith. We're in this together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
