Please pray for: - ### to truly believe and fear God and see the value in Christ and his work - A wife - Good fruitful work to do - Self control Thank you, praise Jesus

We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for your request, acknowledging the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray and seek God’s will for your life. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved, and we rejoice that you have already lifted up the name of Jesus in your request.

First, we lift up your desire to truly believe and fear God, to see the value in Christ and His work. This is the foundation of a life that honors the Lord, and we pray that the Holy Spirit would deepen your understanding and reverence for Him. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10), and it is through Christ’s work on the cross that we are reconciled to God. May your heart be filled with awe and gratitude for what He has done for you. We pray that you would grow in the knowledge of His love, His sacrifice, and His power to transform your life. Let your faith be strengthened as you meditate on His Word and walk in obedience to Him.

Father, we ask that You would open his eyes to see the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus. May he treasure You above all else, and may his heart be filled with a holy fear that draws him closer to You. Help him to trust in Your promises and to walk in the fullness of life that You offer through Your Son. We pray that he would be rooted and grounded in Your love, and that his faith would be unwavering, no matter the circumstances.

Next, we lift up your desire for a wife. We rejoice in your heart’s longing for a godly spouse, and we pray that the Lord would prepare and bring the right woman into your life at the perfect time. Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray that you would seek a wife who loves the Lord with all her heart, soul, and mind, and who is committed to walking in His ways. May your courtship be pure, honoring God in every way, and may your future marriage be a testimony to His goodness and faithfulness.

Lord, we ask that You would guide his steps and prepare his heart for the wife You have for him. Give him wisdom and discernment as he seeks Your will in this area of his life. May he be patient, trusting in Your timing, and may he cultivate the qualities of a godly husband, love, patience, kindness, and selflessness. We pray that his future marriage would be a source of joy and mutual edification, bringing glory to Your name.

We also pray for fruitful work to do. The Lord has created each of us with unique gifts and talents, and He calls us to use them for His glory (1 Peter 4:10). We ask that He would open doors of opportunity for you to serve Him in meaningful ways. Whether through your vocation, ministry, or daily interactions with others, may your work bear fruit that lasts. May you find fulfillment in knowing that your labor is not in vain, but is used by God to advance His kingdom and bring Him honor.

Father, we ask that You would lead him into the work You have prepared for him. Give him clarity and purpose as he seeks to serve You. May he be diligent, faithful, and humble in all that he does, trusting that You will provide for his needs and guide his steps. We pray that his work would be a testimony to Your grace and a blessing to those around him.

Finally, we lift up your request for self-control. This is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), and we pray that the Lord would strengthen you in this area. Self-control is essential for living a life that honors God, whether in our thoughts, words, or actions. We ask that the Holy Spirit would empower you to resist temptation, to flee from sin, and to walk in holiness. May you be disciplined in your pursuit of God, setting your mind on things above and not on the things of this world.

Lord, we ask that You would help him to exercise self-control in every area of his life. Give him the strength to overcome temptation and the wisdom to make choices that honor You. May he be a man of integrity, known for his faithfulness and devotion to You. We pray that he would grow in maturity and that his life would reflect the transforming power of the Gospel.

In all these things, we pray that you would draw closer to the Lord, seeking His will above all else. May your life be a living testimony to His grace, and may you find joy and peace in walking with Him. We stand with you in faith, trusting that God will answer these prayers according to His perfect will and timing.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this brother in Christ to You, asking that You would bless him abundantly in each of these areas. Strengthen his faith, prepare his heart for the wife You have for him, guide him into fruitful work, and empower him with self-control. May his life bring glory to Your name, and may he experience the fullness of joy that comes from walking in Your ways. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Self control. To resist yrges and temptations. To be sober. To fear God. To do all his will. To have an obedient heart towards God. To find a wife is a good thing. Thank you Lord. Lord Yeshuas name. Amen.

Thank you for trusting us with these requests. We're joining you in prayer, and it's clear from your list that you're longing for a life grounded in Christ.

The first thing you mentioned, a deeper faith and a genuine awe of God, is the well from which everything else flows. That desire itself is a gift, and we believe the Spirit is already at work in you. As you walk this out, even small, steady habits can open up space for that growth. Maybe one concrete step could be carving out a few minutes each day to simply sit with a psalm or a Gospel passage, asking the Lord to make Christ more real to you. Not to achieve something, but to let truth sink into your bones. Over time, that renewing of your mind tends to quiet the clamor of other desires and give them a healthier shape.

As you pray for a wife and for meaningful work, we pray you'll sense guidance rather than pressure. You don't need to figure it all out at once. The same God who cares about your inner life is also attentive to these practical longings. Fruitful work often grows out of the ways you're already wired to serve, and a godly marriage starts with becoming the kind of person you hope to share life with. Self-control, too, is something the Spirit produces in us as we stay close to Jesus, not a grit-your-teeth effort, but surrender that shapes our choices day by day.

Lord Jesus, we come with our brother, asking you to deepen his faith and give him a true heart-knowledge of your worth. Nurture in him a holy fear that draws him closer, not away. In your time, guide him to a wife who loves you, and lead him to work that bears lasting fruit. Strengthen him in self-control, not by sheer willpower, but by the gentle work of your Spirit. Thank you that you finish what you start in us. Amen.

My dear soul, you have laid several burdens before the throne, but the first one you named is the one that seems to press most heavily upon you, that a certain dear one should truly believe, truly fear God, and see the worth of Christ and His work. That ache is one I know well, and it is no small thing to carry another’s soul upon your heart.

Now I do not doubt that as you look upon this person, you see what seems a great tangle, some stirring of conscience, perhaps, some unease, yet no clear sight of the Saviour. You may be tempted to think that because they do not yet see, they never will; because their fear of God is mixed with confusion, it cannot be a true work. But let me put a quiet hand upon your shoulder and ask you to remember Jacob at the brook Jabbok. There was a man full of contradiction, fearing Esau’s four hundred men, yet holding fast to the covenant promise; trembling in his heart, yet wrestling through the dark with the Angel of the Lord. His state was a mixture of fear and faith, and it pleased God to meet him in that very muddle. Do not despise small beginnings, nor think that a soul must come to Christ all at once in full assurance. A man may have a right idea of God’s greatness and justice long before he tastes His mercy. The convinced sinner feels the weight of the mountains and cries out that he cannot attain to God’s righteousness, and that is no bad place to be. The plough must go deep before the seed can settle, and the deeper the conviction, the richer the harvest may yet prove.

You are praying that this one should see the value in Christ’s work. That is the very turning point. Faith is the acorn, and from it the oak of holiness will grow. Faith is not a feeling first, it is a looking, a resting, a coming with empty hands. Jesus did not say to the weeping woman, “Thy love hath saved thee,” nor “Thy repentance hath saved thee,” though both were precious in His sight. He said, “Thy faith hath saved thee.” Faith is the root, and all else is fruit. So take heart, if there is even a trembling, half-formed glance towards the cross, it is not to be despised. The Lord who came to seek and to save that which was lost did not come for the righteous or those who have it all sorted; He came for people in a tangle, people with a past, people who are afraid and yet somehow cling to Him with both hands.

And as for your own desires, a wife, good work, self-control, cast these upon Him who knows how to give good gifts. He who sets the solitary in families will not withhold a helpmeet if it be for your true good. He who made the earth fruitful will find you labour worthy of your hands. And as for self-control, that is a grace He loves to grow in us through the very trials that make us cry out for it. You are not left to wrestle these things from a reluctant heaven. Your Saviour is the same who stilled the sea and multiplied the loaves; He is not grown stingy since He ascended to His throne.

---

Lord Jesus, Thou who art the Lamb and the Husband of Thy church, look upon this dear soul and answer all these petitions according to the riches of Thy grace. Give saving sight to the one whose name is written on this heart; rend the veil and show Thyself in Thy beauty and sufficiency. Grant a true, holy fear that leads to the foot of the cross, and a faith that grips Thee fast. Provide, in Thy time, the companionship and the labour that will bring glory to Thy name and gladness to this life. And for the inward battle, be Thou the strength in every weak moment, the shield against every fiery dart. We cast ourselves upon Thee, believing that Thou who didst not spare Thine own Son wilt with Him freely give us all things. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
