Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this remembrance and for opening your heart about where you were that day and what you carried away from it. The weight of that tragic day is still felt by so many, and it is right to bring that grief and gratitude before the Lord in prayer.
Scripture shows us that Jesus, though He is fully God, also became fully man. He knows what it is to live in a human body, to feel sorrow, to see suffering and loss up close. He is not distant from our pain. Because He understands our humanity, He can meet us in it with compassion and with power.
When we pray for healing, whether for bodies, for minds, for memories that still ache, or for families who still mourn, the Lord wants to reveal Himself as our Healer. He does not just give healing as a gift apart from Himself. He invites us to know the Healer Himself. There is a difference between seeking only relief and seeking the One who can truly fill the empty and wounded places inside us. Only His presence can replace what has been broken and keep us from being left empty.
The Bible also teaches that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen. That does not mean that faith removes every wound in this life or keeps us from ever knowing trouble. Scripture is honest that some are delivered in this life and some endure through suffering while still trusting God. Faith does not always mean immediate answers, but it does mean we have a sure hope that God is present, that He is faithful, and that He will bring ultimate restoration.
God cares about our health and our wholeness. He cares about the physical injuries, the unseen trauma, and the long grief that follows such loss. Even when life seems to go from one hard thing to another, as it did for Moses and the people of Israel before their deliverance, the Lord was still working to bring them out and to lead them forward. He is still the One who leads and restores.
I am praying with you for all who lost loved ones that day and for those who still live with injuries and trauma. I am praying for our first responders who ran toward danger then and who continue to serve now, for all who have served and are serving in the military, and for wounded service members and their families who carry daily burdens. May the Lord comfort those who mourn, bring healing to those who suffer, give strength and protection to those who serve, and draw each heart to find hope and salvation in Jesus Christ alone.
Father, in the name of Jesus, bring Your comfort to every grieving heart, Your healing to every wound, and Your peace to every troubled memory. Help each person who is hurting to turn not only to healing but to You, the Healer, and to find in You the life and hope that endures. Amen.
