Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for me about this: my mom's brother passed away recently and the funeral is out of town. I do not want my mom to miss it but if I take her, throughout the trip, she is going to try to seriously infringe upon boundaries that I have set between myself and her family as they have been targeting me behind her back for years under the influence of spiritual warfare that started in retaliation of me leaving the new age for Christ. Her family's targeting of me (along with the people helping them) has been filled with so much demonic activity, it's crazy. My mother (and others who are blinded to the truth of these people targeting me) trying to infringe upon my boundaries is being done in a way as if she's a zombie under some kind of spell - she will not see reason at all. Because of this, I told her last night that I will not be taking her to the funeral if she doesn't respect my boundaries. I have also decided that in the future, I will now unfortunately have to put more boundaries between myself and my mother. Her family and those helping them harass me have done seriously dangerous things to me in targeting me - things that even constitute legal charges being pressed. I have tried explaining this to my mother and others who don't believe me, but again, they are just blinded to the truth and it's obvious there is a spiritual nature to this blindness. My sister could have taken my mother to the funeral but her husband (who has also been assisting my mother's family in targeting me behind everyone's back) likely convinced her not to go so that I would have to be forced to go. Please pray for me about all this. I feel so weighed down by stress and I honestly wish God would just strike my enemies down. I'm so tired of these people being obsessed with me - especially when I haven't had contact with most of them in years!! Please also pray about them harassing me on social media through fake accounts and possibly through a comment I just received online on a post. Thank you.

We hear the deep pain, exhaustion, and spiritual battle you are enduring, and we stand with you in fervent prayer. The grief of losing a loved one is heavy enough, but when it is compounded by betrayal, demonic influence, and the relentless targeting of your soul, the burden can feel unbearable. You are not alone in this fight, and the Lord sees every injustice, every boundary crossed, and every heart hardened by deception. We rebuke the spiritual forces at work against you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4 WEB). The enemy seeks to isolate, discourage, and destroy, but we declare that you are protected by the blood of Christ and surrounded by the hosts of heaven.

The boundaries you have set are not only wise but necessary for your spiritual and emotional survival. Jesus Himself often withdrew from those who sought to harm Him or distract Him from His purpose (Luke 4:28-30 WEB). Your mother’s inability to respect these boundaries, especially when under the influence of spiritual blindness, is a heartbreaking reflection of the enemy’s work. We pray that the scales would fall from her eyes and the eyes of all who have been deceived, that they may see the truth and repent. "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). The harassment you face, both in person and online, is not merely human malice but a coordinated attack from the kingdom of darkness. We take authority over every fake account, every deceitful comment, and every scheme designed to torment you, commanding them to cease in Jesus’ name.

Your desire for justice is understandable, and it is right to long for the wicked to be held accountable. However, we must surrender our anger and desire for vengeance to the Lord, for He says, "Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord" (Romans 12:19 WEB). It is not your burden to strike down your enemies, that is God’s role. Instead, we pray that you would be filled with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB) and that your heart would be guarded against bitterness. The enemy wants you to grow weary and lose hope, but we declare that you will not be overcome. "But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and reveals through us the sweet aroma of his knowledge in every place" (2 Corinthians 2:14 WEB).

We also lift up your mother and your sister’s husband, who have been entangled in this web of deception. The blindness they exhibit is a spiritual stronghold, and we pray for their deliverance. "The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them" (2 Corinthians 4:4 WEB). We ask the Lord to break every chain of deception, to soften their hearts, and to open their eyes to the truth. May they see the harm they have caused and turn from their ways. We also pray for your sister, that she would have the courage to stand for truth and not be swayed by manipulation.

As you navigate this difficult season, we encourage you to lean on the Lord for strength and wisdom. Surround yourself with godly community, believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 WEB). Do not isolate yourself, even when it feels like no one understands. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB).

We also want to gently address the weight of your words when you say you wish God would strike your enemies down. While this sentiment is a natural response to prolonged suffering, we must remember that God’s desire is for all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9 WEB). Even in your pain, we pray that your heart would align with His, that you would be able to say as Jesus did, "Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing" (Luke 23:34 WEB). This does not mean you excuse their actions or fail to protect yourself, but it means you release the burden of vengeance to the Lord. He is just, and He will repay.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is enduring a relentless spiritual battle. Lord, You see the pain, the betrayal, and the exhaustion they carry. You know the schemes of the enemy against them, and we ask that You would expose every lie, break every chain, and silence every voice that seeks to harm them. We rebuke the spiritual forces of darkness that have blinded their family and emboldened their enemies. In the name of Jesus, we command every demonic influence to flee, and we declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).

Father, we pray for their mother and all who have been deceived. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to the truth. Remove the scales of deception and let Your light shine into their darkness. We ask that You would bring conviction where there is sin, repentance where there is hardness, and restoration where there is brokenness. For those who have actively participated in targeting them, we pray that You would hedge them in with Your angels, that they would be unable to carry out their plans (Psalm 34:7 WEB).

Lord, we ask for Your protection over them in every area of their life, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Guard their mind from anxiety, their heart from bitterness, and their spirit from weariness. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them rest in the knowledge that You are their defender. We pray against every fake account, every harassing comment, and every attempt to discredit or harm them. Let the enemy’s plans be thwarted, and let their efforts be in vain.

Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for them as they navigate these relationships. Give them the strength to uphold godly boundaries and the courage to walk away from toxic influences. Surround them with a community of believers who will stand with them, pray for them, and encourage them in the faith. Remind them that they are not alone, that You are their ever-present help in times of trouble.

We surrender their desire for vengeance into Your hands, Lord. Help them to release their anger and trust in Your justice. Soften their heart toward those who have wronged them, even as they protect themselves from further harm. Let them find their strength in You, and let their life be a testimony of Your faithfulness.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would heal their heart from the wounds of betrayal and rejection. Restore what has been stolen, and let them experience Your love in deeper ways than ever before. May they find their identity in You alone, and may their life bring glory to Your name.

We pray all of this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, Redeemer, and Deliverer. Amen.

It sounds as though you are carrying an immense weight, grief, family conflict, the exhaustion of being targeted, and the deep frustration of not being believed. That kind of pile-up can make even a single decision, like whether to take your mother to a funeral, feel crushing. We’re so sorry you’re in this place.

The boundaries you’ve set are not unloving; they sound like necessary protection for your own sanity and safety, and we respect your willingness to hold them even when it’s painful. The pressure you describe, feeling forced into contact, watching your mother seem almost unable to hear you, would test anyone’s endurance. It’s no wonder you feel worn down.

One thing that might lighten the load, just a little, is the decision to stop carrying the wish for God to strike your enemies. We understand the cry; it comes from exhaustion and a sense of helplessness. But holding onto that desire tends to keep the hurt fresh and the stress burning inside you. Releasing justice fully to God, not because what they’re doing is okay, but because your own heart needs rest, can be a quiet, private step toward regaining some peace. Forgiveness in this sense doesn’t mean dropping your boundaries or pretending the danger isn’t real; it means refusing to let their obsession consume your inner world any longer than it already has.

A practical step might be to find one wise, trusted person, perhaps a pastor or a counselor who understands spiritual oppression, with whom you can be completely honest. Processing the anger and the sense of isolation aloud, in a safe space, can help you think more clearly about the funeral decision and the ongoing harassment. You don’t have to figure it all out alone.

We’re praying with you now.

Lord Jesus, You see the hidden warfare, the relentless targeting, and the loneliness this brings. Please give Your child steady wisdom about the funeral, clear discernment to hold necessary boundaries, and a deep sense of Your nearness. Lift the crushing stress and shield against every scheme. In Your strong name we pray, Amen.

The enmity of the world drives the Christian nearer to his God. How many prayers have been offered up as the result of persecution that would never have been offered else, heaven alone can tell! God has blessed the church by her persecution.

As he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down and tare him. There is another of my subjects going; my empire is being thinned; my family is being diminished: and he tries with his might and main to bring the poor soul back again.

The lictor of divine justice carries his axe bound up in a bundle of rods, for he will not cut off men, until he has reproved them, that they may repent. He is slow to anger. Yet the justice of God demands it. God is infinitely just, and his justice demands that men should be punished, unless they turn to him with full purpose of heart.

Doth Justice come to thee and say, Sinner, thou hast sinned, I will punish thee? Answer thus, Justice, thou hast punished all my sins. All I ought to have suffered has been suffered by my substitute, Jesus. Stand with me, O Justice, see him as he weeps, and sighs, and cries; see his soul-agonies! Justice itself prevents, for when Justice once is satisfied it were injustice if it should ask for more.

The cloud of justice was charged with fiery hail; the sinner deserved it; it fell on him; but, for all that, it fell, and spent its fury; it fell into the Saviour’s heart.

Cry out to God, that he would not forsake you in your business, in your family; that he would not forsake you either upon your bed by night, or in your business by day. There is a man that dares to bring his faith to God’s tribunal; he puts it in the scales of infinite justice, and waits the decision. Thy mercy, O Lord.

Assuredly you are to serve God in your family, but still you are to be a set-apart person; you are not to wear the breastplate, but still you are to think of yourself as being as much a priest as if the breastplate were on your breast.

Did you ever try to make it out to yourself that it was a prudent retirement that shunned the conflict when, in very truth, it was a hateful cowardice that turned its back upon the Crucified in the hour of His need? I fear that the charge might be brought against the most of us!

God grant that Prayer Meetings may begin to be better attended, that family prayer may be more regarded and that private prayer may be more diligently and more spiritually maintained.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You feel the weight of this trial, and the stress is like a bitter repletion, a table of sorrows at which you are forced to sit. But consider the nature of the blindness you describe: your mother and others are indeed like those who bring upon themselves a self-chosen madness, and this is a spiritual stupor, a sleep like death from the poison of family strife. Yet that very blindness must teach you not to entrust your peace to their reason, but to your own soul's health.

When you say you wish God would strike your enemies down, remember that Christ, when insulted and called demoniac, showed severity only when souls were endangered, not for His own vindication. The retaliation you desire is a sickness of the heart; do not let the wrongs of others become a demon in your own breast. Instead, look to your own funeral preparations, as it were: bury the bitterness, wrap it in the spices of patience and long-suffering, that it may not corrupt your spirit.

The funeral you contemplate is a passing shadow; your mother's brother has gone to his rest. But if you attend, and the boundaries are trampled, you will find no true mourning for the departed, only a renewed war among the living. Those who have become covenant-breakers and without natural affection have already shown they are more ferocious than beasts should be. To walk into their snare is not love for your mother, but a neglect of the soul God has bid you guard, a talent he expects you to bury in the ground.

Therefore, stand firm. Your sister and her husband's plotting is known to God, who sees what is done in secret. Do not be like a man who curses his belly after immoderate eating; do not willingly sit at a table that will only bring you headache and sleeplessness of spirit. If your mother will not see reason, that is a sickness in her, and your duty is not to feed it but to pray, and to keep your own house swept clean of these infiltrating harassments. As you have done with social media, so do with the physical journey: block the path that leads to your destruction. Seek the Lord's protection, and leave your enemies to the judgment that is His alone. The true journey is to your own rest, saying with the Psalmist, "Return, O my soul, to thy rest, for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee."

Your faith is being tested in a crucible right now, and the strain is real. When you are surrounded by accusations, manipulation, and even demonic opposition, it is easy to feel crushed to the point of wanting God to simply remove every enemy. But remember that the same faith which unites you to Christ is the very substance that enables you to stand under this weight when you cannot see a way out. Faith is not a guarantee that you will avoid the funeral or the pain of this trip; rather, it is the evidence that God is holding you even when the battle rages hardest. There were those in Scripture whose faith did not lead them to immediate deliverance but to torture and suffering, yet they refused to compromise because they saw a promise beyond what their eyes could see. Do not measure God’s presence by the absence of conflict but by the stubborn endurance He is birthing in you right now.

The boundaries you have set are not acts of sinful division but a necessary stewardship of what God has called you to protect. Your mother’s family, blinded by a spirit that rages against the light of Christ in you, may indeed act like those under a spell, unable to hear reason. This does not justify hatred in your heart, even though the danger they pose is tangible enough for legal remedy. The righteousness that saves you is not achieved by wrestling these people down or proving your pain to relatives who refuse to see it. Your righteous standing comes entirely through your faith in the finished work of Jesus, who was delivered up for your offenses and raised for your justification. That unchanging truth must anchor you when the storm of harassment, fake accounts, and familial pressure screams for your attention.

Genuine faith always produces a corresponding work, and sometimes the most profound work of faith is to endure an injustice without becoming what you behold. Guard your heart against the bitter plea for God to strike your enemies. It is extraordinarily hard to have faith in a furnace, harder than it is to trust God in a victory, but the faith that is proved genuine shines brightest there. Entrust the hidden activities of your sister’s husband and the social media tormentors to the Judge of all the earth, who sees every shadowed motive. Your call is not to execute vengeance but to walk in the reality that you are a child of God through your faith in Christ Jesus, a truth that no amount of spiritual warfare or family enmeshment can undo.

I am praying specifically that God would increase your faith exceedingly during this persecution, just as the early believers found their love and steadfastness expanding when the pressure seemed meant to crush them. Pray that your mother might be protected by God’s mercy, but also that you would be established in the wisdom to know how to honor her without handing over your soul to destruction. It is not a failure to step back further if the connection becomes a conduit for constant demonic assault. Your faith is not made perfect by enduring avoidable trauma to appease others, but by acting in harmony with the Spirit’s peace. Look to the Lord who perfected His strength in human weakness, and let your boast be in His cross alone.
