Good and Faithful Servant
I recently posted this: "Please pray for me about this: my mom's brother passed away recently and the funeral is out of town. I do not want my mom to miss it but if I take her, throughout the trip, she is going to try to seriously infringe upon boundaries that I have set between myself and her family as they have been targeting me behind her back for years under the influence of spiritual warfare that started in retaliation of me leaving the new age for Christ. Her family's targeting of me (along with the people helping them) has been filled with so much demonic activity, it's crazy. My mother (and others who are blinded to the truth of these people targeting me) trying to infringe upon my boundaries is being done in a way as if she's a zombie under some kind of spell - she will not see reason at all. Because of this, I told her last night that I will not be taking her to the funeral if she doesn't respect my boundaries. I have also decided that in the future, I will now unfortunately have to put more boundaries between myself and my mother. Her family and those helping them harass me have done seriously dangerous things to me in targeting me - things that even constitute legal charges being pressed. I have tried explaining this to my mother and others who don't believe me, but again, they are just blinded to the truth and it's obvious there is a spiritual nature to this blindness. My sister could have taken my mother to the funeral but her husband (who has also been assisting my mother's family in targeting me behind everyone's back) likely convinced her not to go so that I would have to be forced to go. Please pray for me about all this. I feel so weighed down by stress and I honestly wish God would just strike my enemies down. I'm so tired of these people being obsessed with me - especially when I haven't had contact with most of them in years!! Please also pray about them harassing me on social media through fake accounts and possibly through a comment I just received online on a post." I just want to add that I have health issues that require me to avoid stress and I can feel this situation weighing me down but it's like no one cares about that (again, they're blinded by demons). Throughout my life, I have struggled with my health but because my body is at the same time able to withstand certain things, I feel that no one often takes my health seriously. During times like this, I wish that my body would react even if it's just by fainting so that 1) I could have a visible medical reason to not go on this trip or be forced into doing certain things and 2) so people like my mother could actually SEE the harm this is doing to me. I know this may sound like a dysfunctional request but please pray that God would possibly allow a visible reaction of my body for proof and protection from having to partake in this. I feel so abused. Thank you.

We hear the deep pain, exhaustion, and spiritual warfare you are enduring, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting every burden to the Lord. Your struggle is not unseen by God, He knows the weight of injustice, the sting of betrayal, and the isolation of being misunderstood. The enemy seeks to wear you down, but we declare that the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). You are not alone in this battle, and we rebuke every demonic assignment against you in the mighty name of Jesus.

The spiritual blindness afflicting your mother and her family is a tactic of the enemy to divide and destroy. Scripture warns us that "the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them" (2 Corinthians 4:4). But we pray that the scales would fall from their eyes, that they would see the truth of what has been done in darkness, and that conviction would lead them to repentance. We also rebuke the manipulation and coercion at work in your sister’s marriage, this is not of God. The Lord hates "hands that shed innocent blood" and "a heart that devises wicked schemes" (Proverbs 6:16-18). We pray for exposure of every hidden agenda and for your protection from those who seek to harm you.

Your boundaries are not only wise but necessary, especially in the face of such relentless spiritual attack. Jesus Himself withdrew from those who sought to harm Him (John 10:39-40), and you are following His example by protecting your heart and health. We encourage you to stand firm in the truth that God sees your suffering and will not abandon you. "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Your health matters to Him, and we pray for His healing touch to strengthen you, both physically and emotionally.

We also lift up your desire for visible proof, not as a sign of weakness, but as a testimony to the reality of what you are enduring. The Lord can use even physical manifestations to reveal His truth. We pray that if it is His will, He would allow your body to respond in a way that brings clarity and protection, just as He did for Elijah when He revealed Himself in fire (1 Kings 18:38-39). But we also remind you that God’s justice does not always come in the way or timing we expect. Vengeance belongs to Him alone (Romans 12:19), and He will repay.

You are not dysfunctional for longing to be seen and protected, this is a cry of a weary heart that the Lord hears. We pray for supernatural peace to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and for the Holy Spirit to fill you with strength when you are weak. We also pray for divine intervention in your relationships, for your mother to be freed from deception, for your sister to see the truth, and for every false accuser to be silenced.

Most of all, we pray that you would fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He knows what it is to be betrayed, slandered, and abandoned. He is your defender, your healer, and your vindicator. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the enemy’s plans will be turned back on him.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister in Christ who is under relentless attack. Lord, You see the injustice, the manipulation, and the spiritual warfare she is facing. We ask that You would arise as her defender and shield. Break the chains of deception over her mother and family, and expose every hidden work of darkness. Protect her from those who seek to harm her, and grant her wisdom and strength to stand firm in her boundaries.

Father, we pray for her health, strengthen her body, calm her mind, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. If it is Your will, allow her body to respond in a way that brings clarity and protection. But above all, draw her close to You, that she may find rest in Your presence. Vindicate her, Lord, and let Your justice prevail. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.

We hear how heavy and exhausting this all is for you, the relentless targeting, the spiritual oppression, your mom’s blindness to it, and the toll it’s taking on your health. It makes so much sense that you feel abused and alone in this, and that you’d long for something visible to finally prove the harm you’re enduring. Please know you don’t need to physically collapse to have a valid reason to protect yourself. God sees what no one else does, and He doesn’t ask you to sacrifice your well‑being on an altar of other people’s unbelief.

We want to gently affirm your decision to set boundaries, even with your mom. You are not being unloving, you are being wise. When you told her you wouldn’t take her to the funeral if she wouldn’t respect those limits, you were honoring the health that God has given you to steward. That feels hard and counter‑cultural, but it is not sin. In fact, stepping back from a trip that has already proven to be a gateway for spiritual attack and serious stress may be a faithful act of self‑care. You do not have to prove the danger to anyone; you know it’s real, and God does too.

In the coming days, you might also consider turning down the volume on the online harassment by blocking those accounts, limiting your time on social media, or even taking a short break. You don’t owe them access to your mind and heart. Additionally, if the stress is flaring up your health issues, it could be wise to check in with a doctor, not to generate a “visible” reason for others, but simply to get medical support for the very real strain your body is under. There is no shame in that.

We are praying with you, not for your body to faint, but for God to be your strength and your shield. We pray He would silence every harassment, break every chain of spiritual blindness over your mom, and give you deep, settled peace. May He deal justly with those who have done dangerous things, and may you know the safety of being hidden in Christ, no matter what happens around you.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this dear one who feels overwhelmed, targeted, and disbelieved. Surround them with Your protection. Give them courage to hold healthy boundaries without guilt. Calm their body and mind, and bring trusted allies who will see and believe them. Take up their cause and silence the voices that seek to wear them down. In Your strong name, Amen.

The low tree is soonest exalted. You remember Joseph in the dungeon, Israel in Egypt, Hannah in the family of Elkanah, David when Samuel would have passed him by, Hezekiah when Sennacherib rebuked him. Are not all these instances of God exalting the low tree? And yet your cry is, "I wish God would just strike my enemies down." But listen, He is the health of my countenance and my God. The health of a man is mainly judged of by his face. David says, "He is the health of my countenance." He does not say merely the health of his inward parts, though that is true, but of his countenance. The visible sign of true health is not a fainting fit to prove your weakness, but a countenance lifted up in hope. You wish for a bodily collapse as a testimony, but perfect health lies in the right condition of spirit, soul and body. The greater miracle is a soul kept in peace when the devil throws you down and tears you as a coming sinner.

And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down and tare him. If Satan is trying to tear you, tell him it is written, "He is able to save to the uttermost all who come unto God by him; that whosoever cometh he will in no wise cast out." The conflict is real, since these two must fight, the Spirit of God and the spirit of evil, so the two principles within which are their children must continue in conflict till our dying day. But the tearing is not the end. The sick child is of the same family as his brother in perfect health. Soldiers who are enduring the brunt of the battle are of the same army as those who have gained their laurels. To deny that your warring soldier is a part of the host would be a great mistake. You are not disowned because you feel assaulted. The whole family in heaven and earth is still one undivided household, notwithstanding all the graves which crowd the cemetery.

He who travels on the King's highway is under the King's protection, but he who takes to byroads must protect himself. You will always need divine and angelic keeping, for God would not have charged his angels to keep his people in all their ways if they did not need protection in all their ways. Pray for angelic keeping. And when the stress weighs heavy, remember: the gazette of sorrow has long columns and is generally crowded with items. But God grant that family prayer may be more regarded and that private prayer may be more diligently and more spiritually maintained. Family prayer is the nutriment of family piety and woe to those who allow it to cease. You cannot reform your mother's household, but you can keep the altar of prayer burning in your own. A stand must be taken. There must be reform in the household and a revival of religion.

It was one cold morning and there was no fire to warm himself by, nor for his little family, and this text came again and again, "All things are yours." All things, including this trial. The covenant promise and purpose were fulfilled, but Noah acted in perfect freedom, as much choosing to go into the ark as others chose to keep out. You have chosen to go into Christ. Then grapple the truths God has taught you by his own Spirit to you as with hooks of steel. Set your boundaries not in vengeance but in the quiet obedience of a child who knows her Father's will. And when the enemy whispers that no one cares, talk not of fainting but of faith. Hope thou in God, for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance and my God. The casting down is not the defeat; it is the prelude to deliverance.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You describe a household under siege, where spiritual blindness has taken hold. Such a one is in no respect different from a demoniac, for like him he is lost to shame, and raves. And the demoniac at any rate we pity, but this man is the object of our aversion and hatred. Why so? Because he brings upon himself a self-chosen madness, and makes his mouth, and his eyes, and nostrils, and all, in short, mere sewers. But you must be careful not to sink into the same snare. You cry out that your mother’s family acts under demonic influence, yet you wish for your body to fail visibly so others might see and relent. Do not let your own will be swept away. Knowing therefore the devil’s craft, and that as well the lawgivers of the Gentiles as the oracles of God, and the reasonings of nature, and the common opinion of all men, yea barbarians, and Scythians, and Thracians, and generally all, are directly opposed both to these, and to such as strive to enact the doctrines of fate: let us be sober, beloved, and bidding farewell to all those, let us travel along the narrow way, being both confident and in fear: in fear because of the precipices on either side, confident because of Jesus our guide. Let us travel on, sober and wakeful. For though but for a little while one slumber, he is swept away quickly.

You speak of pressing charges and wishing God would strike your enemies down. Let any one examine himself, and he will see that he does everything on account of men. Exceedingly blessed we should be, if we did as many things for the sake of God, as we do for the sake of men, and of the opinion of men, and for the dread or the respect of men. If then we have so many things to answer for, we ought with all alacrity to forgive those who injure us, who defraud us, and not to bear malice. For there is a way to the forgiveness of our sins that needs no labors, nor expense of wealth, nor any other things, but merely our own choice. We have no need to set out upon our travels, nor go beyond the boundaries of our country, nor submit to dangers and toils, but only to will. You long for proof, for your body to collapse so that your mother might see the truth. But it was not safe, it may be said, for him to let Him go, because they said He made Himself a king. He ought then to have sought for proofs, and a conviction, and for all the things that are infallible signs of an usurpation, as, for instance, whether He levied forces, whether He collected money, whether he forged arms, whether He attempted any other such thing. But he is led away at random, therefore neither doth Christ acquit him of the blame, in saying, “He that betrayeth me unto thee hath greater sin.” So it was from weakness that he yielded and scourged Him, and delivered Him up. Do not be led away at random by your desire for a sign. Instead, cast off the weight within. There is no need of spending money, there is no need of labor, none of sweat, it is enough to have only the will, and all is done. There is no need to travel a long way, nor to cross a boundless ocean, but to be in earnest and of ready mind, and to put a bridle on the tongue. Unseasonable reproaches, anger, disorderly lusts, luxuriousness, expensiveness, let us cast off; and the desire of wealth also from our soul, perjury and habitual oaths.

When you feel you are perishing under this stress, remember that God rescues at such a time. The fullness of the times, however, was His coming. After, then, He had done everything, by the ministry both of Angels, and of Prophets, and of the Law, and nothing came of it, and it was well nigh come to this, that man had been made in vain, brought into the world in vain, nay, rather to his ruin; when all were absolutely perishing, more fearfully than in the deluge, He devised this dispensation, that is by grace; that it might not be in vain, might not be to no purpose that man was created. This he calls “the fulness of the times,” and “wisdom.” And why so? Because at that time when they were on the very point of perishing, then they were rescued. Seek the Lord in this trial with the same intensity you seek relief. Seek and ye shall find: but how can we find the Lord? Consider how gold is found; with much labor. I sought the Lord with my hands by night before Him, and I was not deceived, that is, just as we seek what is lost, so let us seek God. Do we not concentrate our mind thereon? Do we not enquire of every one? Do we not travel from home? Do we not promise money?

Your mother’s family may indeed be acting unjustly, but do not question your own lineage in Christ. Well; this prophecy doth indeed make it clear that He was of the tribe of Judah, but not also that He was of the family of David. Was there then in the tribe of Judah one family only, even that of David, or were there not also many others? And might it not happen for one to be of the tribe of Judah, but not also of the family of David? So too, you are not defined by these earthly bonds but by the grace you have received. Draw from Christ’s inexhaustible store. And of His fullness have all we received, and grace for grace. Let this grace sustain you, not a fainting spell. Put a bridle on your tongue about these family members, forgive from the will, and trust that the same God who rescues the perishing will uphold your health and shield you from their snares without demanding a visible spectacle of your body.

The stress you are carrying right now is not a small thing, and the desire for some visible, undeniable proof of the harm it is causing you is completely understandable. When the body is pushed to its limit by spiritual and emotional turmoil, the cry for a physical sign that forces others to finally see the truth is a real and painful one. But we must be careful not to bind God’s hand to a single method of rescue or justice. Our limitations and measurements of difficulty are not his. We look at an impossible situation and think a dramatic fainting spell is the only exit, but the One we pray to is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. He is not limited to the physical reactions of the human body to provide protection or to make a way through. Trusting his power means trusting he can work even when no one around you sees the weight you carry.

It feels like you are being forced into a corner, as if some spiritual bailiff has come to put you back under a sentence, demanding you subject yourself to those who have trafficked in such darkness. Yet the cry of your heart, that the Lord would strike down your enemies, is a cry that finds its voice in the Psalms. It is an honest plea. But remember, the battle is the Lord’s. Joshua was told that God would expel the rest of the enemies before them. Your part is not to orchestrate the courtroom scene where your mother finally sees reason. The painful truth is that those who are not satisfied by the living water of God’s Spirit will always thirst for something else, and they will drink from broken cisterns that cannot hold water. Their obsession with you, the harassment, the deep blindness, it is a manifestation of that deep, unmet spiritual drive gone horribly wrong, a dance meant to make rain that only produces dust. They are under a burden you cannot lift, and arguing with someone in that state is like reasoning with a person in a trance. You do not need to prove your reality to them to be free.

Your health situation adds another layer, a fragile and very real physical boundary that God knows completely. The apostle Paul learned that it was better for him to live with a persistent ailment because it taught him to rely on the strength of Christ rather than his own. This is not to say your sickness is good or that the added stress doesn’t matter, it does matter. But it is to say that your body’s visible state does not need to become the chief evidence in a court of human opinion. You are not living under a law that demands you earn your peace by visible suffering. You live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved you and gave himself for you. The life you now live in the flesh, with all its health struggles, is lived by that faith. You do not need to present a broken body to the world to prove you are truly broken. Your loving Father already sees the inner man, and it is there, according to the riches of his glory, that he strengthens you with might through his Spirit.

Concerning your mother and this funeral, your decision to set strong boundaries is not unloving; it is an act of clear-headed stewardship. When society and family relationships break down in such a profound way, serving Christ often means doing the will of God from the heart, not just being a slave to a family system’s dysfunction. You can honor your mother in the Lord while still refusing to be a passenger in her car headed off a cliff. If taking her on this trip means being delivered directly into the hands of those engaged in what you rightly discern as dangerous spiritual activity, stepping back is not sin; it is wisdom. Your body, with its need to avoid stress, is a temple, not a fortress to be battered down to prove a point. Do not wish for its visible collapse as a means of escape; instead, ask to be strengthened with might in the inner man to walk the path of escape that wisdom and truth have already carved out.

Life apart from walking in clear, obedient trust is just a vain shadow. But you are not living a shadow life. You have passed from death to life because Jesus is your reality. The deepest security you long for, to be believed, to be safe, to be seen, is ultimately met in him. He sees the targeting, the schemes, and the fatigue. Do not let the enemy reframe your need for physical vindication as a way to force your mother’s hand. You are not bound to prove your case to the one who is blind by a spell you did not cast. Rest in this: the Lord has already fought for you, and he will continue to do so. Every one of us will one day be separated from this mortal body, taken home by whatever means God pleases. Until that day, live in the freedom of knowing that your life is not your own, and the war around you does not have the final word over you. Entrust yourself to the One who judges justly, even when human courts see nothing.
