Faithful Servant
### · Due to the flash flooding in our area, services are cancelled for today (7/12). Please be safe if you're traveling today. just got from our home town we in prayers in Jesus name amen for us all

We lift up our hearts in prayer for all those affected by the flash flooding in your area. Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, asking for Your protection and provision for every individual, family, and community impacted by this disaster. Lord, we know that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask that You would calm the waters, shield those in harm’s way, and guide emergency responders as they work to keep people safe.

Heavenly Father, we pray for those who may be stranded, frightened, or in danger. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let them feel Your presence in the midst of this storm. Provide shelter, dry ground, and safety for all who are displaced or in need. We also ask for wisdom and strength for local authorities and relief workers as they respond to this crisis.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and chaos that often accompanies such events. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let Your light shine in the darkness, and may those who do not know You come to see Your hand at work in their lives. We pray that this trial would draw people closer to You, reminding them of their need for You and Your unfailing love.

We also lift up those who may be struggling with anxiety or despair during this time. Father, remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). Strengthen their faith and fill them with hope, knowing that You are in control and that Your plans for them are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11).

For those who may be facing loss, whether of property, livelihood, or even loved ones, we ask for Your comfort and healing. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). Wrap Your arms around those who are grieving and provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

We also want to take a moment to acknowledge the power of prayer in the name of Jesus. It is only through the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If anyone reading this does not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that today would be the day they turn to Him. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, rose again, and offers eternal life to all who believe in Him (John 3:16). We encourage anyone who has not yet made that decision to surrender their life to Him today.

Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). We declare that this storm will pass, and Your peace will reign in the hearts of Your people. Strengthen us to be Your hands and feet, showing Your love and compassion to those in need.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We’re holding this situation with you, and we’re grateful you reached out. When the familiar rhythm of gathering for worship gets upended by something as sudden and powerful as a flash flood, it can leave the whole community feeling a bit unsettled, even while we trust God is still present. It makes sense to feel a current of fear running underneath the day, and we want you to know you’re not carrying that alone.

As we pray with you, one of the simplest but strongest things any of us can do right now is to stay connected. A phone call or a quick text to a neighbor, especially someone older, living alone, or new to the area, can be a real anchor. In a crisis like this, knowing a friendly voice is checking in often calms the nerves and helps people make safer decisions. Also, keep an eye on official local alerts so you have the most accurate information on road closures and rising water, staying informed is a wise way to care for yourself and others.

We’re so glad your church family is actively praying for one another; that spiritual covering matters deeply. Let’s keep lifting up your whole town.

Lord Jesus, in the middle of this flood, be the steady ground beneath our feet. Keep everyone alert and wise in their movements, and shield the vulnerable. Calm the anxious thoughts and draw neighbors together in practical care. We trust your protection, and we ask for your peace to settle over this community tonight and in the days of cleanup ahead. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Though the waters rage and the floods lift up their voice, the Lord on high is mightier. Let not your heart be troubled that the assembly is stayed for a day; the Spirit of God is not bound by walls of brick or stone, and the true Church is not scattered though her members be kept from the accustomed place. Your cry ascends with ours, and though we cannot gather, we are knit together in Him who is our Peace.

Lay hold of this truth for your safety: He is able to keep you from falling. In the tempest, in the rising waters, in the sudden peril, our times are in His hand. No flood can sweep away the soul anchored in the Rock of Ages. Did He not still the Galilean storm with a word? Does He not hold the winds in His fist? Trust Him whose providence is as wide as the deluge and as tender as a mother’s care.

Yet let this affrighting hour speak to our deeper need. The church needs reviving, and the rod has a voice. Hear the rod, and Him who hath appointed it. Are we not too often asleep while the world rushes on to destruction? Let this flood call us to prayer, not a fleeting whisper, but the strong crying and tears that prevail with Heaven. The strength of a church is in her prayerfulness; and when the sanctuary doors are closed, the closet of the saints must be all the more opened. Beseech the Spirit of grace and supplication to stir us, that we be not a merely human society, but a living body quickened by the Holy Ghost.

We need not fear the storm as those without hope. Our safety lies in Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might present us to Himself a glorious Church, without spot or wrinkle. He who came from the brightness of the Father’s glory to sit in our darkness will not now forsake His own. Only keep near to Him; let no neglect of prayer or worldliness make you a stranger to His felt presence. If you have that heart of flesh, sensitive to His will, you will find Him a very present help in trouble.

We are united though absent one from another. The Church at large must not be divided in heart, for divisions are our disgrace and hindrance. Let the flood call us to love one another fervently, bearing each other’s burdens, and so fulfilling the law of Christ. As you have prayed for us all, so do we lift you up before the throne. May the only wise God our Saviour keep you in all your ways, and bring you safely through every billow, until we meet again beneath the sound of the Gospel, and ultimately before His face with exceeding joy. Amen, so let it be.

The flood waters rise without warning, and so does every calamity in this life. It is good to pray for safety, to seek God's shelter in the storm, but let us not slumber in a false peace. The devil's craft is subtle; he would drown us not only in water but in carelessness, convincing us that because we have escaped one danger, all is well. Yet the true disaster is to be swept away while thinking we stand safe.

Our Lord Himself warned that in the days before judgment, men would be eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, insensible to the rising flood until it took them. The physical flood is a shadow of that final surprise. Let it rouse you, then, to a holy fear. Travel the narrow way with Jesus as your guide, confident in His mercy but awake to the precipices on either side.

Do not merely ask to be kept from the water's harm; ask to be kept from sin, for a man may pass through many afflictions yet never please God if his heart is fleshly and earthbound. The body's safety is a small thing. Seek rather to remain within the pasture of Christ, where no true evil can thrust you out. Make the divine Scriptures your vessel, and faith your sail, and let the Word be your Pilot through every tempest.
