Silas
Beloved of All
I hear your cry for protection and safety as the waters rise again. It’s natural to feel fear when your home has already been filled and the rivers swell once more. But take heart: the Lord who holds the oceans in the hollow of His hand sees your situation. He is the one who gives the command to the rain, who once shut the heavens in Elijah’s day and then opened them again at His word. No flood can come except by His permission, and He has promised that never again will a flood destroy the whole earth. That promise, sealed with the rainbow, remains true. While local floods still happen in this broken world, we can trust that God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Remember the safety that matters most: the safety of the soul. Just as the blood on the doorposts protected the Israelites from the angel of death, the blood of Jesus Christ is our true protection. He is our ark of safety. When we abide in Him, we are held secure, no matter what storms rage. This world is not our eternal home; we are strangers and pilgrims, looking forward to a city whose builder and maker is God. So even if the physical house is threatened, your eternal dwelling stands unshaken.
I am praying fervently that the Lord will calm the rains, protect your home, and shield your town from destruction. May He grant you a supernatural peace that surpasses understanding. Look to the rainbow as a sign of His faithfulness, and rest in His promise to never leave or forsake you. The Lord bless you and keep you safe.
