### just told me that a little boy from ### came to our door asking if he could cut our grass and ### yelled at him. ### has a lot of emotional/behavioral issues. It's highly likely that he's demonized due to multiple factors in his life. He's also very confused spiritually. Please pray about all this and that no trouble will be caused by him doing this to this child. We don't know if the parents might retaliate. Thank you.

We are deeply grieved to hear of this situation, especially the way this young boy was treated. Our hearts ache for him, knowing he may be struggling with spiritual confusion, emotional pain, and possibly even demonic influence due to the hardships in his life. The Bible tells us in Matthew 18:6, "but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck, and that he were drowned in the depths of the sea." This is a sobering reminder of how seriously God takes the treatment of children, especially those who are vulnerable.

We must also address the reality of spiritual warfare. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." This boy may indeed be under attack, and we must pray fervently for his protection, deliverance, and salvation. However, we must also rebuke the sinful reaction of yelling at him, as it does not reflect the love and patience of Christ. Proverbs 15:1 says, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." We must pray for repentance and wisdom in how to respond to such situations in the future.

We also lift up the fear of retaliation from the boy’s parents. Romans 12:19 instructs us, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’" We trust that God will be our defender and will work all things together for good (Romans 8:28). However, we must also pray for wisdom in how to handle this situation with grace and truth, should the parents approach you.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this young boy who was treated harshly. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness for the way he was spoken to, and we pray for repentance and a change of heart in those who wronged him. Father, we rebuke any demonic influence in his life in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask for Your angels to encamp around him for protection (Psalm 91:11).

Lord, we pray for this boy’s spiritual confusion. Open his eyes to the truth of Your Word and draw him to Yourself. Let him know that You love him deeply and have a plan for his life (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask for Your healing over his emotional and behavioral struggles, and we pray that he would find hope and peace in You.

Father, we also pray for protection over this household. If there is any retaliation from the boy’s parents, we ask that You would intervene and soften their hearts. Give wisdom and discernment to those involved, and let Your love and truth prevail in every situation. We trust in Your justice and Your mercy, Lord.

Finally, we pray for the salvation of this boy and his family. Let the light of Christ shine brightly in their lives, and may they come to know You as their Lord and Savior. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.

We encourage you to seek the Lord for how He might want you to respond to this situation. Perhaps He is calling you to reach out to this boy with kindness, to share the love of Christ with him, or to pray for him regularly. Whatever the case, let us remember that God is a God of justice, mercy, and redemption, and He desires to bring healing to this young life.

We hear your concern for and that little boy, and we’re grateful you reached out. It’s unsettling when someone we love acts out so harshly, especially toward a child just trying to help. That mix of sadness over ’s struggles and worry about what the child’s family might do is heavy, and we’re holding it with you in prayer right now.

Because you mentioned ’s emotional and behavioral challenges, we know this isn’t just a one-time outburst, it’s part of a deeper tangle. When the storm has passed and he’s calm, a gentle conversation might help. Not to blame, but to understand what triggered such a reaction. Sometimes simply naming the fear or frustration behind an outburst can be the first crack of light. If he’s open to it, walking alongside him to seek pastoral support or wise counsel could also bring some much-needed clarity for his spiritual confusion.

As for the boy’s family, a small, humble gesture can often soften a tense situation. A short note slipped in their door, something like, “We’re so sorry about what happened, and we hope your son is okay”, might go a long way to prevent retaliation and show that you care. You don’t have to explain everything; just extending neighborly kindness can guard the relationship.

Most of all, we’re praying with you for safety and peace on every side.

Lord Jesus, we lift before you. You know the battles inside him, the confusion, the volatility, whatever dark places feel overwhelming. Quiet his heart and lead him toward healing. Guard that young boy from lasting hurt, and hold his family in your care so that fear or anger doesn’t escalate. Give this household wisdom, calm, and steady hope. In your name, Amen.

You have brought before us a tangled knot of sorrow and fear, but the Lord's hand is not shortened that it cannot save. Let us cry to Him who is able to keep us from falling, for a brother so troubled in soul and conduct needs an infinite Friend to stand against all the machinations of the adversary. The enemy shoots his arrows of confusion and wrath into that poor , but we look to the only wise God our Savior, who knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to present them faultless before His glory with exceeding joy. His wisdom is deeper than the craft of demons, and His power is almighty to break every chain.

Do not let your hearts be overwhelmed by fear of retaliation from the child's parents. It is the Lord who brings forth His people with silver and gold, even from the furnace of affliction. If trouble should come, remember the boundary set by a Father's hand: He chastens sore, but He does not give over to death. There is a vast difference between the punishment of a judge and the chastisement of a loving Father. The rod may smart, but it drives folly from the heart and works a far more exceeding weight of glory. Trust Him who stilled the raging sea, and He will calm these threatening waves.

Yet we must not be idle. Shoot the arrow of prayer with all your might. Cry day and night for that tormented soul, that the Deliverer would come and make him a new creature in Christ Jesus, with a heart fresher than a child's. What a trophy of grace he may yet become! And for the little one who came to your door, pray that no root of bitterness spring up to trouble him, but that this wound may be bound up by the Good Physician. God can make even this the means of his early seeking after the Savior. The Lord reigns; be not afraid, only believe, and declare the works of the Lord when deliverance dawns.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Do not let your heart be troubled by this event, for God often permits such trials to teach us to despise present fears and cling to a better hope. He does not always promise deliverance from immediate danger but grants a greater grace: the strength to stand above death itself, fixing our minds on the soul’s immortality. What seems a threat of retaliation is an opportunity to trust in that promise.

Consider the Law given to the Jews. It commanded “eye for eye, tooth for tooth,” not to let loose every hand in vengeance, but to bind the aggressor’s hand by fear, so that neither would he do evil nor would you suffer it. The purpose was always to wall off aggression, not to fuel it. So let no fear of payback disturb your peace; rather, pray that this incident becomes a restraint on further harm, turning hearts from wrath.

Do not say, “I have but one talent and can do nothing.” Even the poorest widow and the unlearned apostles showed such zeal for the common good that they attained heaven. You can do the same by offering protection, diligence, and prayer for this child and for the one who yelled. God is well pleased when we live for one another’s advantage, even in small ways.

The true deliverance from all evil comes only through Christ, who takes away the curse and makes us sons. And when He brings deliverance, it often comes through a personal earthquake that shakes the soul awake. Remember the jailer: he thrust Paul into the inner prison, but when the doors flew open and bonds were loosed, he did not rest on his safety. He fell down trembling and asked, “What must I do to be saved?” So this trouble may be the means by which confused souls are brought to that same question. The child, the parents, the very one who shouted, all stand in need of that saving cry.

Therefore, instead of fearing trouble, remember Paul’s bonds. His chains brought consolation to the churches and made them braver. Let this affliction become a bond of prayer that makes you more eager to seek God’s blessing upon all involved. God Himself gives the increase, and no earth yields fruit except by His command. Pray then for a harvest of repentance and peace, trusting that He who raised Christ from the dead will supply all needed grace.
