We join with you in thanking our Father for His mercy and for the work He is already doing in these two young men, and we agree together for their continued growth in grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus as Messiah, for as it is written, grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, 2 Peter 3:18.
We lift up ### before the Lord and ask for Your healing hand upon his infected muscular tear, for You are the One who forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases, who redeems our life from destruction and crowns us with loving kindness and tender mercies, Psalm 103:2-5. We pray You would cleanse the infection, restore the torn muscle, and give wisdom to any physicians caring for him. We pray also for blessed time with his children, that he may walk as Your Word instructs, man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord, Deuteronomy 8:3, and that as a father he will not provoke his children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord, Ephesians 6:4. We pray for order and peace in his household and for the healing and salvation of his wife who does not yet know You, that she may be drawn to You, for Your Word says if any brother has an unbelieving wife and she is content to live with him, let him not leave her, 1 Corinthians 7:12, and that the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her husband in the sense of being set apart for Your gracious influence, and we pray that his godly love and witness would win her without a word. We thank You that You have given him a hunger for Your Word, and we pray that as newborn babies he will long for the pure milk of the Word, that he may grow thereby, 1 Peter 2:2, and we rejoice that he is listening to the Bible App and ask that Your Word would dwell richly in him.
We also lift up the newly interested young man and his mother and family, and we ask that You would deepen their use of the Bible App into true faith and repentance, and that You would bring them both to gather with Your church, not forsaking our own assembling together, Hebrews 10:25, but finding fellowship and teaching among believers. And for all others who have been invited, we pray with confidence that no one can come to Jesus unless the Father who sent Him draws him, John 6:44, so we ask You to draw them by Your Spirit and water the seeds that have been sown, for we plant and water but You give the growth, 1 Corinthians 3:6-7, and Your Spirit gives life, for the Spirit is the one who gives life and the flesh profits nothing, the words that Jesus speaks are spirit and are life, John 6:63. Breathe upon these dry bones as in Ezekiel's vision, come from the four winds, breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live, Ezekiel 37:9.
We join you in asking for grace to learn Spanish and other languages for the sake of the gospel, to be able to teach the book of Acts and John in three languages, and we pray for true wisdom, for if any of us lacks wisdom let him ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach, James 1:5. We ask that You would give gifts as You will, for there are various gifts, but the same Spirit, 1 Corinthians 12:4, and that any gift of tongues and interpretation would be exercised according to Your Word in order and for edification, as on the day of Pentecost they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other languages as the Spirit gave them ability to speak, Acts 2:4.
We pray for nearness of Your presence over all of you, for it is good for us to be near God, Psalm 73:28, and that you would seek Him with all your heart, for You have promised you will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart, Jeremiah 29:13, and that all would walk in the fear of the Lord, for the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, Proverbs 9:10, and the fear of the Lord is to hate evil, Proverbs 8:13. Give a true hatred of evil and a love for what is holy.
We pray for protection from deception, just as Jesus warned see that no one deceives you, Matthew 24:4, and we ask deliverance from evil men and deceivers who will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived, 2 Timothy 3:13, from unreasonable and evil men, for not all have faith, 2 Thessalonians 3:2, and from those who profess to know God but deny Him by their works, Titus 1:16, holding a form of godliness but denying its power, 2 Timothy 3:5. Keep us from sin, from pride of knowledge which puffs up while love builds up, 1 Corinthians 8:1, and make us those who do no unrighteousness and walk in His ways, Psalm 119:3, who pray that we may do no evil, 2 Corinthians 13:7, and who speak no lies, Zephaniah 3:13. We know that whoever is born of God does not sin, but He who was born of God keeps him and the evil one does not touch him, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one, 1 John 5:18-19.
We pray for Your protection from the evil one himself, that ancient serpent called the devil and Satan who deceives the whole world, Revelation 12:9, and we thank You that we overcome him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of our testimony, Revelation 12:11. We pray as Jesus taught us, deliver us from the evil one, Matthew 6:13, and as Jesus prayed for us, we do not pray that You would take us from the world, but that You would keep us from the evil one, John 17:15, and we look to the day when the angel will lay hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, and bind him with a great chain, Revelation 20:1-2, and we claim Your victory now in Jesus' name.
Father, we thank You that it is only through Jesus that we have access to You, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. We rest in His name and ask all these things according to Your will, trusting You to cause growth, to heal, to save households, and to keep us near You until the end, in the mighty name of Jesus our Messiah we pray, amen.
