Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for your encouragement I pray each day for the posted prayers.
May you have a safe blessed 4th of July 🦅 🎆

You have begun well, confessing that no adequacy comes from yourself, but all from God. Hold fast to that truth, for it is the root of all virtue. The moment you imagine your skill or your rapport arises from your own wisdom, love begins to grow cold. Love does not vaunt itself, is not puffed up. So in all your meetings, let this mind be in you: you are an empty vessel; God’s agape must fill you, or you will have nothing to give.

Consider what this love is that you ask to reflect. Love suffers long and is kind. It does not envy the success of others, does not parade itself. When you stand before a patient, do not seek first their favor or the praise of supervisors. Seek rather to wash their feet in your heart. For you owe them love as a debt, since we are members one of another. If love leaves us, the whole body is torn apart. So your interventions, however skilled, are but noisy gongs if love is absent. And this love is not a mere gentleness; it is a fire that seeks the true good of the other, even when it must speak hard words. Do not be afraid to lose the favor of men for the sake of their souls, though you should always speak with empathy.

You pray for successful interventions and that nothing be forgotten. It is good to ask, yet remember that what the world calls success is often foolishness to God. The word of the Cross is wisdom and power. When your own plans fail, when a patient does not recover, when your memory fails, do not despair. God’s strength is perfected in weakness. He often works more mightily through our inadequacy so that the glory may be His alone. Did not the apostles, ignorant men, accomplish great things because they had nothing of their own to boast in? So too with you: go forth with poise, not because you are self-assured in your flesh, but because you are assured of His mercy.

As for the favor you seek with patients, supervisors, and the owner, this is natural, but examine your heart. Are you seeking it to advance yourself or to open doors for the gospel of love? If you desire favor only for comfort and easy days, your love is still childish. The servant is not greater than the Master; Christ had no place to lay His head, and He was reviled by those He came to heal. Do not be surprised if some receive you poorly. Suffer long with the unthankful and the difficult, for even the insane hate those who care for them. Your task is not to be loved in return, but to love. Yet it is true that God often grants favor as a means of good, so ask, but leave the answer to His wisdom.

You pray for your children, that they be protected and see themselves as God sees them. This is a holy longing. But the greatest protection you can give them is to teach them to love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. More than a hedge of protection, pray that they become lovers of the Cross. For if they love Christ, no door of harm can truly prevail; even suffering will become a door of good. And do not merely pray, but become for them an icon of this love. Let them see you loving your enemies, forgiving, and showing mercy to the poor without over-curious enquiry. A faith that calculates who is worthy of charity is satanic and destructive; so let your home be a refuge of uncalculating mercy.

You speak of grieving families. Yes, ask for strength and comfort for them. But your own presence, when love is genuine, is already a comfort because love is strong as death. Many waters cannot quench it. Weep with them, but do not be like those who have no hope. Show them by your steadiness that the Resurrection is real.

Finally, you ask to be delivered from all evil and hedged about with protection. These promises are sure, but do not interpret them to mean a life free from trial. The three young men were delivered from the furnace, but not from the fire; they walked in the midst of the flames, and the Son of God was with them. So also with you: the hedge of protection is His presence, not the absence of danger. He will be with you in every meeting, in every grief, and will make all things new. Only cling to love, for in the last days the love of many will grow cold because iniquity abounds. But you, by enduring in love, will warm the hearts of many and give glory to the Father.

Go now, not as one adequate in yourself, but as one who dies daily, that Christ’s love may live in you. And when you have done all, say, “We are unprofitable servants.” Then God will give the increase.

Your prayer captures the very heart of 2 Corinthians 3:5. Not that we are adequate in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our adequacy is from God. That posture of dependence is the soil in which God’s agape love grows through you into every meeting, every intervention, every word spoken. The care you long to give, poised, assured, empathetic, professional, originates not in self-confidence but in the supply of the One who first loved us. He will fill what you lack and steady your hands.

That same love flows toward family. The divine ideal from the beginning was a household where hearts are united, where His protection and order guard relationships. I hear in your request a cry for that ideal: for your daughter to know how He sees her; for your son to walk into good opportunities; for broken relationships to be healed. God’s design is for families to flourish in His provision, and He is faithful to open doors that lead to life while shutting those that lead to harm. You are not striving alone. The promises of Psalm 91, Psalm 121, Isaiah 54:17, and 1 John 4:4 are strong threads He weaves around those who trust Him.

In seasons of grief and heavy responsibility, remember that we are part of a larger family, the household of God. You are surrounded by brothers and sisters who share the same Father, and His love covers all and overcomes all. He is the true Kinsman Redeemer, who steps in when our strength fails, who keeps the inheritance secure, and who covers us with His grace. Even when we cannot reach the ideal on our own, He has made provision through Christ, not to lower the standard, but to carry us where we cannot carry ourselves.

Walk into these next two days knowing that He goes before you. The wisdom, the rapport, the favor you seek are gifts from the hand of your Father. He does not forget what concerns you. The words you speak to patients and families will be His words, because you are leaning on Him. And as you entrust your adult children into His care, rest in this: He loves them with a perfect love, and He will complete the work He has begun. May all glory and praise return to the Lord, for every good thing comes from Him.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of standing in agreement with you in prayer over these past few days. Your request touched our hearts deeply as we lifted up each detail before the Lord—your work, your patients, your family, and especially your children—asking Him to move with wisdom, favor, and agape love in every situation.

As you reflect on these past days, we join you in watching for God’s hand at work. If He has answered in ways you’ve seen or felt, we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice together! If the answers haven’t yet become clear, or if new needs have arisen, please share them again so we can continue interceding with you. We believe God is faithful to His promises, and we stand on the truth of His Word—asking for His protection, healing, and provision just as you did in Psalm 91, Isaiah 54:17, and 1 John 4:4.

May the Lord continue to strengthen you with poise, empathy, and professionalism in your calling, and may your family—especially your daughter and son—walk in the fullness of how He sees them. We pray for open doors of opportunity and closed doors to anything that would harm them, all while surrounding them with godly connections. Above all, may your love for the Lord grow deeper in heart, soul, mind, and strength, and may His love overflow through you to everyone you encounter.

We cover you in prayer, trusting that God is working even now, and we give Him all the glory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
