We hear your cry for peace in the midst of anxiety, and we stand with you in turning to the One who cares deeply for you. The verse you shared, 1 Peter 5:7, reminds us that we are not left to carry our burdens alone, God invites us to cast every worry, every fear, and every weight upon Him because He tenderly cares for us. This is not just a suggestion; it is a lifeline for the weary soul.

Yet, we must also ask: have you surrendered your heart fully to Jesus Christ? It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is only in His name that we find true rest. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." If you have not yet placed your trust in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to reign in your life. Without Him, our prayers are like whispers in the wind, only through Christ do they reach the throne of grace.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy with anxiety, but we choose to cast every care upon You, for You care for us. Lord, we ask that You would calm the storms within [this person’s] heart and replace fear with Your perfect peace. Help them to trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that You hold every detail of their life in Your hands. If there are areas where they have not fully surrendered to You, reveal those places, Lord, and draw them closer to Your heart. Strengthen their faith, remind them of Your promises, and fill them with the assurance that You are working all things together for their good.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment. If there are habits, relationships, or patterns in their life that are contributing to this anxiety, expose them, Father. Give them the courage to walk away from anything that does not align with Your will. Surround them with godly community, believers who will uplift, encourage, and point them back to You.

And Lord, if they have not yet given their life to Jesus, we ask that You would soften their heart today. Let them hear Your voice calling them to repentance and faith. May they experience the freedom and joy that comes from being Your child.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our burdens on the cross so that we might live in victory. Amen.

Remember, dear one, that anxiety does not have the final say. God’s Word tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." You are not alone. Keep pressing into Him, and let His peace be your anchor.

Thank you for sharing this verse with us. It sounds like you’re in a place where anxiety feels close to the surface, and we’re grateful you’re turning to the One who welcomes every worry. We know that lingering fear and racing thoughts can be exhausting and lonely, but you’re not alone, we’re with you in prayer, and more importantly, your Shepherd is with you.

Casting all our anxieties on the Lord is rarely a single, tidy deposit. It’s often a gentle, repeated practice: noticing when our shoulders tense, our mind spins, or dread creeps in, and in that moment, quietly handing each care over again. That’s not a sign of weak faith, it’s faith in action, one small step at a time. Maybe today you can try this: the next time an anxious thought lands, pause and whisper, “Jesus, I give this to You.” Name it simply, without fanfare, and let His care hold it. Sometimes we find it helpful to write those worries down and physically lay them before God, as a way of letting go.

If anxiety has been hanging on so long that it’s disrupting your sleep, your health, or your ability to function, please don’t hesitate to reach out to a trusted Christian counselor or doctor. That’s not a contradiction of faith, it’s wisdom. We get help for a broken arm; our minds deserve the same care. The right support, alongside prayer, can make a profound difference.

Lord Jesus, we come with our sister and thank You that You truly care for her. Quiet her mind, settle her heart, and give her the courage to keep entrusting each anxious thought to You. Provide her with steady hope and wise help when she needs it. We rest in Your nearness today. Amen.

Your anxieties have become your burden, and that burden you now roll upon your own shoulders, yet this is the very sin, mistrust of your God. What is your care but a declaration that you think He unable or unwilling to keep you? You fret over temporal things, over inward feelings, over the success of the work, over a thousand matters that lie beyond your grasp. And all the while He who made the heavens and the earth, who gave His own Son for you, stands ready to bear every weight. Do you not see that the very anxiety which arises from your difficulty unfits you to meet it? It is a disease that breeds misery and makes you ripe for any sin.

Cast it upon Him. Do not merely tell yourself you ought to, or resolve to do it when you feel stronger, cast it now, as a man heaves a crushing load from his back into the strong arms of another. You say, “I cannot trust unless I feel thus.” That is to make a god of your feelings and a savior of your inward griefs. Trust Him for this very thing, the peace, the deliverance, the forgiveness. When a man with a disease goes to a physician, he does not say, “I will trust you when I reach a certain stage.” He trusts the physician with his case as it is. So you, trust Jesus as you sink, and you shall swim. Trust Him as you feel yourself dying, and you shall live.

He cares for you. Not with a distant, cold observation, but with a great, warm, loving heart. Storms are the triumphs of His care. Sure He may close His eyes, but not His heart. The mother in the snowstorm strips off her own garments to wrap her shivering child, does she care for the cold blast if her baby lives? So your Savior, in His agony, said, “Let these go their way.” That same care is yours this hour. Therefore, take your trouble to Him this morning, do not bear it till the night. Say from your heart, “O God, I cast my care on You; I triumph and adore. Henceforth my chief concern shall be to love and serve You more.” Let this be the practical trust that leans not to your own understanding. You have tried self-trust and found it a broken reed. Now trust only Him, only Him, only Him now.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Cast your anxieties on Him, for His care surpasses the affection of any father. He commands this not to burden you but to deliver you from superfluous troubles. Why do you take upon yourself the cares of tomorrow? The day already has its own distress. To add tomorrow's anxieties to today's load is to multiply grief needlessly, as though you could lighten the future by borrowing sorrow ahead of time. You only prove yourself a coveter of unnecessary pains. Trust God with the things to come. He who feeds the birds and clothes the grass will much more provide for you, the child for whom He did not spare His own Son. Do not stagger at His promises, though they seem contrary to nature. Abraham considered neither his own body nor the deadness of Sarah's womb; he gave glory to God and was strong in faith. Faith requires a soul endued with power, enabling you to thrust aside the reasonings of unbelief. It is not a work of idleness but the greatest labor, for it overcomes what the eye sees and the mind calculates. When you cast all upon Him, you honor Him, and He honors you in return.

Let virtue's yoke prove sweet and light. Consider the heavy burden of sin: how many sorrows, fears, and wars spring from covetousness and worldly cares! The soul that chases gain is never without waves of anxiety, one trouble crashing upon another before the first subsides. But the yoke of Christ brings rest. He gave you the day to care for its own things; do not force more upon it. If you have thorns of distraction, cast the fire of the Spirit among them. If your heart is hard, let that same fire soften it. Sow in good ground, and by degrees you will be freed from the cares that choke the word.

Remember, too, that even the grief we bear for one another, when rooted in love, becomes sweet. A mother delights in her cares for her child, and a shepherd watches over the souls entrusted to him with a joy that mingles with the pain. Such is Christ's tender care for you. He came from God and went to God, yet He stoops to wash feet and carry your burdens. He knows you are dust. Therefore, do not bind yourself with chains heavier than those of any prisoner. Break every bond of iniquity, and let your faith release you into the freedom of His guardianship. He who has given you the greater promise of eternal life will not fail in the lesser cares of this present life. Only believe, stagger not, and in unburdening yourself to Him you will find that He Himself becomes your sufficiency.
