Marriage Prayer: Wisdom With Big Decisions

Dear Lord,

We want to pray for any married couple who needs to make a big decision. Lord, give them wisdom and insight. Help them to slow down and consider all the costs. Keep in their minds one another and their children. We pray that they would not allow their flesh to get in the way so that they can be spiritually led to the right choice. Lord, keep them from making a decision that would put themselves or their family in danger or in a tight spot financially. We pray that they would...

Marriage Prayer: Repentance Is Necessary

Dear Lord,

Thank you for forgiving us of our sin. Thank you for teaching us the meaning of repentance. Lord, continue to teach us to walk in a manner worthy of Your name. Show us how to continue in hearts of repentance so that we can stay in constant communion with You, because repentance is necessary for a right relationship. This is true for our marriage as well. We pray we never harden our hearts to Your spirit when it is leading us to confession and repentance.

In Jesus’ name, amen...

Marriage Prayer: Setting Goals

Dear Lord,

Thank you for the gift of time. We pray that we would always appreciate the time that You have given us to be able to experience all that we have. We pray, father, that we would set some time aside so that we can make goals for our family and life. Goals that we can strive towards to help give us a direction. We pray that our goals will line up with Your word and Your will. Lord, show us what goals You have for us. We pray that we would be a family that is intentional about the...

Marriage Prayer: More Sensitive Listeners

Dear Lord,

We know we are not always good at listening to one another. We pray that You would help us with that. We also pray that we would take the time to let one another know just how much we mean to each other. We pray we both have an awesome day. We also pray that we can have some quiet time together. Help us to communicate with each other in an understanding way. Bless our marriage! We pray we honor You in everything we do!

In Jesus’ name, amen!

Marriage Prayer: Self-Control When Angry

Dear Lord,

We pray against the urge to sin when we are angry. We know You have allowed us to feel this intense emotion, but we want to have self-control with it. Please help us to have self-control when we are angry. We pray we would never hurt each other or anyone else just because we are angry. Help us to humble ourselves and navigate our emotions with clarity and right hearts. We pray that anger never has power over us. Give us the strength to stay in Your will even when our...

Marriage Prayer: Help Us To Be Attentive

Dear God,

Thank you for blessing us with one another! God, we know that we sometimes do not give each other the attention that we deserve and need. We allow ourselves to be so distracted by work and life that we miss out on opportunities to love one another well. Make us more attentive to each other. Give us Your eyes for each other. Give us Your love for one another.

In Jesus’ name, amen!

Marriage Prayer: Hope For The Lost

Dear Lord,

We pray for husbands and wives today that feel completely lost and don’t know you. We pray that Your Holy Spirit surrounds them in your love and comforts them. Give them peace that is beyond understanding and lead them to Your throne. Give them confidence and guide them so that they do not fear or fret about being lost. We pray for hope. May hope fill their hearts in powerful ways, personal ways that would be a testimony to glorify Your name! May Your power hold them in Your...
