Our prayer today is that you would fill the hearts of all the husbands and wives who read this with an inspiration of love. Make us into extravagant lovers. Teach us to sacrifice and to lay down our lives for our spouses. We want our spouses to be surprised and speechless at the kind of love we give them.

Please teach us to be wise in every way, but especially in our finances. It can be hard to manage our accounts and spending, but we know that we need to be better at it. Remind us that we always need to put You first when it comes to giving and tithing. Help us to make wise financial decisions that honor You and protect our family. Teach us Lord!

We pray for all those who are about to, or are in the process of moving. Moving is hard and inconvenient. We pray that you would give peace to these families. Give them strength to hold up emotionally and physically. Lord, bring lots of people around them to help so that they don’t feel alone in the process.

Thank you for always taking great care of our family. You have blessed us more than we can ever repay. Although you have blessed us, we often feel anxious and worried that we will be taken care of. We know that we are not trusting You fully when we do this, so please help us to trust You more. Take away all our anxiety and fears about the future. You say in Your word that there is more to life than money or clothing or food. Please help us to focus on the things that matter most...

 

Dear Lord,

There are so many opinions and ideas about how we should raise our children. Lord, the only opinion we care about is Yours. Lead us, guide us, and teach us how to be godly parents. Help us to raise our children with wisdom, patience, gentleness and understanding. We desire that they would learn from us how to know You and walk with You. We also desire that they would learn what a godly marriage looks like from watching us love each other.

We pray that we would become the kind of husbands and wives that are talked about in Proverbs 31. Make us husbands who are encouraging to their wives. Ones who trust her and see her as a blessing. Make us wives who are strong, wise, and kind. Lord, make us husbands that seek to have a good name before our peers so that people will speak good of our home, and wives who do their husbands good.
