Blessed are you, King of the Universe, who has created this world. Generation after generation, human beings praise your deeds. Your powerful actions proclaim love to all. Through the words of prophets and psalmists, you have announced to all the world the value, importance, and the need for peace. Show and teach us, Lord, your paths that lead all peoples to understand the value of peace. You listen with love and protect the weak and downtrodden; you teach the value of freedom, justice, and fellowship. We witness your endless dedication to humanity and your eternal love. We proclaim your glory and we sing your praises, aware of your kindness and the miracles you perform. We beg you, Lord our God, for the miracle of true...
I am the Lord, your Holy One, Israel’s Creator and King. I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea. I called forth the mighty army of Egypt with all its chariots and horses. I drew them beneath the waves, and they drowned, their lives snuffed out like a smoldering candlewick. But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. - Isaiah 43:15-19 How many times have you looked to your left and right crying out to God because both ways appeared to be a dead end? I come to tell you...
It’s easy to say, “give your cares to the Lord and trust Him” when everything in life seems to be going well. It’s easy to say, “I trust you Lord with everything I own” when bills are paid on time and when you just got a promotion at work. However, if God stripped you of everything you own; If God told you to leave the very job that’s paying your bills, will you trust the Lord enough to do it? Will you trust God even when you don’t understand; even when life hurts? If God told you to leave the familiar and enter the unfamiliar, will you trust Him? For many of you, God has done just that. He has taken you from what’s “oh so familiar” and redirected your paths into the unfamiliar. You don’t understand what’s happening in your life; what...
As a Christian, it’s important for you to know the incredible power of prayer. Whether your prayer is one for employment, forgiveness, guidance, healing, help, protection, or etc continue to pray because there is power in prayer. God Already Knows Your Needs The word of God says, “…don’t be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don’t worry about such things. These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need” (Bible verse: Luke 12:29-31). God already knows what you need before you go to Him in prayer; He’s just waiting on you to ask Him. Now, I’m sure you ask, “if God already knows...
In the case of Belshazzar (see Daniel 5:1-31), that clueless king couldn’t decipher God’s cryptic graffiti—so he called a true prophet to decode it. I’m not sure if many American leaders would ask a modern Daniel for counsel. Many of them have divorced themselves and our government from faith in God and His moral standards. for more, visit this site :- http://www.charismanews.com/opinion/31892-the-ominous-handwriting-on-americas-wall
God loves you just the way you are, but he refuses to leave you that way. He wants you to be just like Jesus. Because God is spirit...I will seek intimate fellowship with Him. Because God is all-powerful...He can help me with anything. Because God is ever-present...He is always with me. Because God knows everything...I will go to Him with all my questions and concerns. Because God is sovereign...I will joyfully submit to His will. Because God is holy...I will devote myself to Him in purity, worship and service. Because God is absolute truth...I will believe what He says and live accordingly. Because God is righteous...I will live by His standards. Because God is just...He will treat me fairly. Because God is love...He is...
Today I felt like a miserable failure, my feelings were battered and sore. But there's One who will listen and heal my sad heart. That's what a Savior is for. When I stumble and sin I feel filthy and worthless, soiled to my soul's very core. But He washes me clean as the fresh-fallen snow. That's what a Savior is for. What would I do? How would I make it? In my own eyes I'm needy and poor. But He makes me feel rich when He gives me His love. That's what a Savior is for. That's what a Savior is for, to lead all his children back home. To welcome us, waiting at heaven's front door. That's what a Savior is for.
"As your days, so shall your strength be." Deuteronomy 33:25 We all go through periods of life when we feel we cannot go on. It can be a loved one's terminal illness (or your own), death of a precious person, a child who decides to go his/her own way instead of following God, an unfaithful spouse, financial reversal, being lost in a strange place, experiencing shunning, malignant disease or rejection from friends. All of these are terrible days and at times we think things couldn’t be worse--we feel we just can’t keep going. Heman the Ezrahite, in Psalm 88 felt like that. This Psalm is written by a man who cries to the Lord because he feels so depressed and desolate. He ends this Psalm by saying, “Darkness is my only friend.” During...
Is He who has promised? Are you passing through a testing? Is your pillow wet with tears? Do you wonder what the reason. Why it seems God never hears? Why it is you have no answer To your oft-repeated plea. As you wait on bended knee? Do you wonder as you suffer. Whether God does understand. And if so, why He ignores you, Fails to hold you in His hand? Do black doubts creep in, assail you, Fears without, and fears within, Till your brave heart almost falters And gives way to deadly sin? All God's testing has a purpose ... Some day you will see the light, All He asks is that you trust Him, Walk by faith and not by sight, Do not fear when doubts beset you, Just remember -- He...
1.God Loves You! The Bible says, "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" The problem is that... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 All of us have done, said or thought things that are wrong. This is called sin, and our sins have separated us from God. The Bible says "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." God is perfect and holy, and our sins separate us from God forever. The Bible says "The wages of sin is death." The good news is that, about 2,000 years ago, -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 God sent His only Son Jesus...
