It amazes me how God speaks to His children. Today, I was feeling a little discouraged, feeling somewhat defeated but God knew just what to do to shift the atmosphere from discouragement to encouragement. God did something and as a result I begin to smile because I knew it was God telling me that He’s there, just have faith and don’t give up. As a result, I begin to think of how God speaks to us every day; I’m sure in many ways than what we know. I believe we as Christians forget that God in fact desires to speak to us daily– not just in His word but in everyday living situations as well. God wants to converse with you because the two of you have a relationship together–after all, what is a relationship without communication? As...
How many times have you taken it upon yourself to get things done when you knew God was telling you to stand still and/or wait on something? I’ll be the first to raise my hand in saying I’ve done so. Right now in my life, I’m in this place where every week my family and I are faced with the challenges. I’m in the process of looking for employment…but I’ve tried to take matters into my own hands, thinking that I’ll “help God” because I can’t figure out what He’s doing. Today, the very thing I placed my trust in to make some extra money was cancelled out. My first reaction was to panic and get upset. But you know what, after I prayed I am reminded that my help does not come from what I, ###, can do, but from what God can do (and we know...
Whether you know it as “you reap what you sow” or “what goes around comes around” as a Christian it’s important to understand the concept of reaping and sowing. The following article was written by ###. It blessed and encouraged me as it brought light on the meaning of reaping and sowing in a Christian's life. I pray you’re blessed by it too. Trust in the Lord, with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways Acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5). Not too long ago I realized the secret to my harvest was in my sowing. God promises to direct our paths. However in every situation and circumstance we are given, we need do find the seed and put it in our palm ready to sow an outcome...
```html Forgiving yourself at times can be the hardest thing to do. We walk around feeling horrible, bad and weary for our mistakes. A few weeks ago I had a hard time forgiving myself. I made the same mistakes over and over again; praying over and over again about the same thing asking God for His forgiveness. God encouraged me and said He already forgave me, now it’s time to start forgiving myself. Forgiving Yourself of the Past Beating yourself up about what happened days, weeks, months or even years ago? As much as we would like to, we cannot go in the past and correct those mistakes. However, we can make a decision to learn from them and start forgiving ourselves. One of the most important factors to realize is that you’re human...
Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams. 1 Samuel 15:22 This was what God impressed on my heart weeks ago. Some of you know what has been going on in my life. Me and my 3 kids was abandoned, but God restored my family. I keep on praying that God will help me to completely forgive as he had forgiven me and to forget the past and hurtful things that had happened to me and my family. I prayed that God will give me justice, but did you know what God made me do? He made me do something for the person/s that has caused so much pain in my life. (I was told to buy things for the other woman's child) God even provided the money for it (God won't take no for an answer). No matter how much...
