This was really eye-opening to me. I have read several of the books written by Bob Steinkamp, from the Prodigals Perspective....they have really helped me to better understand the big picture. I pray that you will look into these books as well and receive the wisdom and the knowledge that the Lord has made available to us. WHAT PRODIGALS THINK Charlyne and I remember how difficult all holidays, such as Labor Day was for each of us, in different ways, while we were divorced. I want to give you some "insider information" on what your spouse may have been thinking yesterday on Labor Day. We think about how happy we could be with someone else. We think about how our mate nags us (but that is not really true). We think about how to...
This is one that has really kept me encouraged. I have read it over and over! My prayer is that you will receive it deep in your Spirit! Are You Struggling About Standing For Your Marriage? For our struggle is not against flesh and blood... Ephesians 6:12 Are you struggling on this Sunday in standing for your marriage to be restored? How are you doing in praying, fighting the enemy and believing your Lord that your marriage will be restored? Are you losing hope due to your circumstances? Let me share a scripture that I pray you will memorize this week for you to know forever: Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our...
TAKE CARE OF YOUR CHILDREN I was thirteen years old when my parents divorced. To be honest, I was sick of living in a house filled with fighting so my brothers and I were not all that upset. As time went on, I realized I was no longer like my friends at church, who were living at home with both of their parents. I am sure this is one of the toughest trials you have ever been through. You need to use this time to draw close to the Lord and lean on Him like you have never done before. While you are doing that, please don’t abandon your kids emotionally. Let them see the Lord working in your life. You don’t need to preach at them, but you can use teachable moments, regardless of their age. If you have young children, get in a...
Getting God’s Results, Which IS ALWAYS Marriage Restoration When we’re standing for the restoration of our marriages, there’s ONLY one certain way to get God’s results, and that’s to DO things God’s way. But when we don’t do things God’s way, and choose instead to rely on our own understanding and the ability and power of our own mind and flesh, and the way of the world, we will get the world’s results, which is divorce and the total and complete devastation and destruction of our marriages and families. And since none of us naturally know HOW to stand for our marriages, it’s very important to seek godly counsel and instruction, and to totally avoid any advice or counsel that is not grounded and verified in the...
This is so similar to me and my story. The Lord showed me early on in my stand for my husband and my marriage that I was like Noah, and I was to build an Ark in order to save my precious family of 7. Receive this in Your Spirit Today as I have! In Christ's Love! Theresa Building an Ark Recently, I was talking to a friend, and prayer warrior, who had called to check on me. She is always encouraging me in my stand and praying for both me and my husband. As I was talking to her about all God is showing me, I made the comment that sometimes I feel like Noah must have felt when God told him to build an ark on dry land, and then it hit me. That’s exactly what He has called me to do. It makes no sense, there are no signs that God’s...
WHAT ARE YOU SOWING INTO YOUR MARRIAGE? Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Galatians 6:7-8 Monday evening we had our Pompano Rejoice Bible Study one week later than usual due to Labor Day. We had a record breaking crowd, and one man accepted the Lord last night. He had a friend at work give him one of our books. To God be the glory. Do you want to attend one of our meetings? You can. Click here to listen or download our "LIVE" Bible study right now. Will you examine your heart about what you are sowing into your marriage, your...
As you may have noticed, there have been some additional privacy enhancements in the last couple of days. The following is a brief summary of them: 1. Birthday information will no longer be able to be entered or shown. All existing birthdays entered have been erased. 2. Our SSL Security Encryption is now verified every few minutes to check that the fingerprint of the certificate matches ours. This information is displayed by clicking the lock in the top right of every page so anyone can check it. This is necessary because of recent news that agencies may be using this type of attack (Man in the Middle) to get around web security. 3. An anonymous posting function has been added. NEVER FORGET September 11, 2001 “Do not forget the covenant I have made with you, and do not worship other gods. Rather, worship the LORD your God; it is he who will deliver you from the hand of all your enemies.†2 Kings 17:38-39 Twelve years ago today, America suffered the greatest single day of tragedy the free world has ever experienced. September 11, 2001, was a day that will be remembered forever in Americans' hearts and minds. Where were you September 11, 2001? We were on a ministry tour. We had spent the previous night in a Louisville, Kentucky hotel. We, the people living in the United States, have changed and adjusted to all the precautions, safety and security measures that must now be taken in airports, cruise ships...
This post is is not on my usual topic of Israel and the Western Wall, but on my first hand experiences from living in Manhattan on 9/11 and how it changed my relationship with God. The day started off like every other, getting the kids up, making breakfast, grabbing some paperwork for a meeting and then out the door. On my way out of the building, I saw a good friend and we stood to chat for a few minutes. As we were standing in the lobby of my building, my friend and I heard a huge boom. Honestly, there is always a lot of construction going on and we didn't really think about it further. We said our goodbyes and I continued out the door to take my kids to nursery. People were gathering on the street and pointing to the Twin Tower...
So powerful! Really opened my eyes to my purpose in all of this! OTHERS ARE STILL DROWNING Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!" He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!" Matthew 8:23-27 Do you know when I feel most humbled to be used by God? It is when I am working on a writing project and the Holy Spirit places something else on...
