THINGS ARE NOT ALWAYS AS THEY SEEM If you are like me, you probably think you are an expert at looking at a situation and coming up with conclusions that you think are factual. I may see a family in a store who is dealing with a misbehaving child and I quickly judge, “If they would just…..that child would obey.†In actuality, I have no idea what the story is with that family and why that child is disobeying. The same may be said for a marriage. Many people may have looked at you and your spouse and never imagined that you would have marriage problems. They may have thought that you were the perfect couple. Things are not always as they seem. You may look at your spouse right now and think, “I know he/she is so happy...
PUT LOVE INTO ACTION! Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Do you believe that “love never fails?†I believe that if every pastor would spend four weeks every year teaching on 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, we could slow down or stop divorces in our churches. Just imagine if every church would have a group of prayer intercessors praying ahead of time for the pastor’s messages. I believe that many hurting or hardened hearts, lives and...
Hello every on I am sorry it has been so long since I have posted any new leasons. God has been doing alot in my life and life has been busy. Be assured I have not waivered in my walk and my stand and faith for my marriage remain strong. Keep your prayers coming alot has changed in the situation I am in and I see God moving in ways I never saw before. But enough about me lets get back to the post in hand. "So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." Isaiah 55:11 AMP God speaks and it happens never will His word come back to Him saying "Sorry...
Where’s Your Focus? This is a question all standers should ask themselves regularly. Are you focused on your spouse? Your circumstances….the other person, court date, financial problems, custody battles, loneliness, what others are saying, and on and on. What about your stand for marriage restoration? Are you focused on that? Or are you focused on God? You have probably experienced all of these as what consumes your thoughts at some point. It’s not unusual to feel like you are on a roller coaster emotionally. You pray, cry out to God, get in the Word, read Charlyne Cares email devotionals and get encouraged and built up. Considering the chaos around you, you are finally starting to feel confident in your stand for restoration...
WORSHIP HIS MAJESTY O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. Psalm 8:1-2 This Lord's Day may you praise the Lord for His greatness and His majesty! Worship the Lord as if He was the only One around you. I pray that every day you will surrender your life and marriage to His will and way, to His plan and to His purposes. You must get to the point of believing and trusting the Lord that He will be with you in the good and the bad days. God wants the best for you and your marriage. Will you pick up your cross and follow the Lord daily? The voice of the...
IS YOUR FAITH CRUSHED? But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 Have you ever seen a mustard seed? Many years ago I wanted to show our standers the size of a mustard seed. In our monthly newsletter mail out, we enclosed a single mustard seed in a small plastic bag. We still know of standers who have their mustard seed packet in their Bible that they received quite a while ago. At our recent September Rejoice Pompano Bible Study, I did a teaching that was titled, What Are You Sowing Into Your Marriage...
LORD, RESCUE ME FROM EVERY EVIL ATTACK! But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth. The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. 2 Timothy 4:17-18 One night years ago, I walked out our office door and started walking to my car, which was parked at the last parking space. Almost instantly, there was a man trying to grab my purse, screaming and chasing me to my car. I did not have automatic locks on my car many years ago, so only by the grace of God I got the key in the lock, but the burglar was fighting the car door trying to get me and my...
I was sitting here, talking to God, and I looked over at the bookshelf and saw one of my daddy's Bibles sticking out near the edge. I decided to get it and read a little. I opened it and wondered where I should start. I thought, "I'll let Daddy tell me where to read and looked for places where he may have marked or turned down the corner of a page. Well, the Bible was FULL of "markings" and "underlinings" and all kinds of little graphics he had written in places he thought were significant! I started reading and there would be a phrase underlined with brackets around it.... a little farther down the page there was more underlining with a star beside the verse. I started focusing on what I was reading and it was as if my daddy was sitting...
I HAVE SEEN HIS WAYS, BUT I WILL HEAL HIM! “I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will guide him and restore comfort to him, creating praise on the lips of the mourners in Israel. Peace, peace, to those far and near,†says the Lord. “And I will heal them.†Isaiah 57:18 “God, do you see all that my spouse to doing to me? Where are You? Why are You not standing up and defending me and our children? How long do I have to wait?†Will you believe that God can touch and transform your spouse into the man or woman of God that you are praying and waiting for their personal encounter with the Lord? What a promise! I will heal them, but when? Is that how you feel sometimes? Yes, I know. Because I did, also. But then I found out...
