Lord, I've enjoyed this time of prayer, but as I walk out into the world, lead me not into temptation. Don't allow me to walk into the devil's trap. I know the enemy is setting a trap out there. I don't know what form it is going to take, and I know I am still weak in certain areas. Given the right circumstances, I will yield to temptation. Protect me, Lord. When you see me turning the corner where the trap has been set, cause me to turn the other way. Intervene, O Lord. Don't let me move in only my own strength and ability. Deliver me from the evil one. Here's good and powerful prayer to commit yourself to LORD. This prayer is meant for those who want to commit suicide, but I got some warm feeling when I prayed this even tough I did not have plans for suicide when I prayed it. Let me know in comments, what You think of it and in what cases would You pray it? Prayer to God Father, in the name of Jesus, I come before You, confessing my need for You, and crying out to you from the bottom of my heart. Lord, You’ve said that you are near to those whose hearts are breaking and that you give grace to the humble. I humble myself before you now…I cast down any pride or self-justification that I would hide behind, and I present myself to you as I truly am–weak and helpless and despairing...
Serenity is not freedom from the storm...but peace amid the storm... A true spiritual well being...one can know of peace of mind, body an soul... This tranquil place is elusive to many...for it is said...the Holy Spirit within one's self... there one can find serenity...by the grace of God...the Holy Spirit...may it come unto all... Within one's conscience...the Holy Spirit is found...this too is elusive to many... The world cannot give this...unto one's own self to know of the Holy Spirit within... God conscience...and the Holy Spirit shall come unto...this is known to be... I am you...you are I...
We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then...
COME HOME! Lord, send my prodigal home! Is that your cry today? This is your Lord’s cry also. He wants more than anything for ALL His children to repent and live righteously. Thanksgiving is almost here and many of you are already dreading the Holidays. May I challenge you to seek the Lord for a new, deeper walk with Him. Your marriage problems, separation or divorce is a wake-up call for you. Your Lord is wanting you to listen to Him. He wants you to humble yourself before Him, seeking His face, and His plan for your future. God hates divorce. He wants you to surrender your life to Him, so that He may rebuild, restore and reconcile each and every marriage. That is God’s perfect plan. He wants you to build an ark for your family...
"Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn't she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.' In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." (Luke 15:8–10 NIV) Let's pray: Lord Jesus, You are my Lord and Savior. I stop running away from You right where I am. Dear Lord, I willingly climb into Your arms. Please accept this box of things I am carrying — those emotions, mistakes, choices I wish I'd never made — take it away from me and return these where they rightfully belong as You lead me back...
LIVE A LIFE OF HOLINESS Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship. Romans 12:1 How are you living? As a Christian, you must live differently! People around you must be able to see and know by your words, your actions, and your attitudes that you are choosing to be different than the world’s ways. The Word of God teaches you so strongly how you should live. You need to strive for righteousness and holiness living. Righteousness will produce a life of transformation. If you are losing control of your speech, actions or words, may you realize that the Lord wants you to grow more in Him, becoming more Christ-like...
Hello every one I hope every one is still standing strong in faith, I know I am and trust me it is not easy. The devil tries to attack many times in hopes we will give up however I found a verse that stops him in his tracks. James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. It doesn't erase your memory of the attack but if you resist his advances upon you he stops. We are blessed that our enemy has very little patients and when he sees something is not working he quickly runs away. Any way this post is not about that I just felt the need to say something about it, here is the real post. Last week as I was doing my nightly prayer with some praise and worship I saw something amazing. Now I...
GODLY SORROW! Yet not I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us. Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. 2 Corinthians 7:9-10 We are praying for many prodigal spouses and prodigal children to turn their hearts toward home this month of November for Thanksgiving. Will you pray for your prodigal husband, wife or child to have "godly sorrow" for their sins? We are praying that the Lord will speak to prodigals many times a day for them to turn from their sinful lifestyle or blatantly doing things that are wrong in God's eyes such as lying...
GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU But he lifted the needy out of their affliction and increased their families like flocks. Psalm 107:41 Last Sunday morning I heard an old hymn that brought back memories from over a quarter century ago. The song was God Will Take Care of You. My thoughts immediately went back to August 17, 1975. That song was part of the Sunday night service, when, with knees knocking, I preached my first sermon and was licensed to the Gospel Ministry by our local church. In fact my sermon was titled, "God Will Take Care of You." (Perhaps like yours, the Enemy’s attacks on our family increased after I surrendered to ministry.) I began to recount the many times in the years since that Sunday night that God has taken care of...
