The Christmas Letter Like many of you, I have been trying to decide how to handle Christmas cards this year with my prodigal away in the far country. Do I just put our last name? Do I put a picture of only the children? Will my card bring joy to the reader or sadness? I prayed about it and finally decided to make my card a call to prayer. I have a dear friend who volunteered to take pictures of me and the kids. The only way I was going to send a picture card without my dear husband in it, was if it was partnered with a letter asking my friends and family to keep praying. Below is the letter God helped me write this year. I pray that God will clearly direct you this Christmas season to know how to handle this difficult time, but most of...
Hello every one I hope every one is ready for Christmas and making plans with your family or friends. This is a time of recognizing what God has done for us in our life and in history. All though the exact date of Christ's birth is unknown we use this time of year to celebrate the birth of our savior. The one who lived a life without sin and then died a sinners death on the cross so we could be saved. The life of Jesus is nothing short of a miracle. From a virgin giving birth to the son of God, to His resurrection from the grave. Yes God is now and always has been in the miracle business. How many times have you really sat back and thought about the birth of Jesus and how impossible it looks in human eyes? I want you to pause for a...
And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. (Exodus 14:13-14 KJV) LET US PRAY: Lord God, I am not afraid because I know that Your presence goes with me. I know that often Your presence goes before me, even into days ahead. I know that You often go ahead of me to work in my favor. Lord, I want to thank You for all the times You have made a way for me, especially when there seemed to be none. Lord, today, I stand still, I worship You, I acknowledge that You are my God and the source of my salvation. I know that You accomplish greatness for me today. Lord, I offer my whole...
In June 2013, I posted a prayer request for ###, a Minister for Christ in Georgia and Florida. Both his congregation and others around the world sent prayers up for him and his family. He was going into very serious surgery that could have cost him his sight, and even his life. He had served for Jesus for many years, but as a young man, there were many years ahead of him. He and his young family were ready to stand for Christ and uplift His kingdom for many more decades. However, everything came to a stop and all were going before the Great and Mighty throne of mercy, occupied by our Wonderful Heavenly Father. My post was responded to by several members of the PrayerRequest.com community. The faithful prayer warriors came to the aid of...
HOW CAN I BE SURE OF THIS? But the angel said to him: "Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to give him the name John...Zechariah asked the angel, "How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years." The angel answered, "I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news. And now you will be silent and not able to speak until the day this happens, because you did not believe my words, which will come true at their proper time." Luke 1:13, 18-20 "Do not be afraid, your prayer has been heard!" Praise the Lord! God has heard you praying, pleading, asking Him to rescue and save...
(Genesis 37:3) “Now Israel loved Joseph more than any other of his sons, because he was the son of his old age. And he made him a robe of many colors.†Do you put on your coat of many colors everyday? Do you wear it proudly displaying the colors of our Lord and Savior giving all glory to God above? There is red for the blood of Christ He shed on the cross to pay for our sins. (Ephesians 1:3-10) “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure...
Saints of God have you kept the faith in the times of adversity or did you crumble at the first signs of bleakness. In the Bible we have many examples of people who overcome their situations in life. Today I would like to talk about one of my favorite examples of faith in the story of Naomi and Ruth. These two women stayed the course even when things started to look bleak. We have to watch what way we say and think because doubt can start to erode our faith in God. Naomi started to say bad things about her life because she lost her husband and 2 sons, and she got bitter about her life; she had to sell her husband's land and finally, she wanted to change her name from Naomi to Mara because she felt the Lord made her life bitter. The...
Genesis 6:13-22 So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. 14 So make yourself an ark of cypress[c] wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out. 15 This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high.[d] 16 Make a roof for it, leaving below the roof an opening one cubit[e] high all around.[f] Put a door in the side of the ark and make lower, middle and upper decks. 17 I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will...
