Maybe someone can answer this question i have. When someone is in a hard time in life, why do other people always think that that person is at fault? When someone is down and out; is it really always their fault? Yet people seem to think it is. Why is that?
There is a little bit of chaos and a whole lot of spirituality that encompasses the Western Wall (Wailing Wall). As the only remaining wall that is still erect from the Jewish Temple, the Jews of Israel have made the Western Wall a place of worship and infused it with holiness. Although I like to go to the Church of Holy Sepulcher once in a while, I find that it is virtually to impossible to just sit there at the grave of Jesus and lose yourself in prayer. The Western Wall is a short walk from the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and I find that it is a better place for me to sit and connect with God. One can walk right up to the wall and pray to God. Nobody bothers me for hours. If the sun is too much to bear, there are some tunnels that...
Power of the tongue. Introduction This bible study shows us the power of our tongues. It will teach us how to guard our tongues and that we speak from the abundance of the heart. We will conclude that with our tongues we please God in worship and praise as well as fellowship with fellow men. The power of our tongue. Proverbs 18:20-21, “With the fruit of a man's mouth his stomach will be full; the produce of his lips will be his in full measure. Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and those to whom it is dear will have its fruit for their food.†Our words will be for us or against us according to whether we control our tongues. Our words will indicate whether the fruit of our hearts are good. Many died due to their own...
Thank God soooo much for His goodness and mercies toward my life. I joined my year group at the final point where they were preparing for their final exams. As a new girl who just arrived from Africa, I had soo much school work to catch up with that I even wanted to go back. I remember once crying on my mom's shoulders, telling her I can't do this and that it was impossible. But with prayer and lots of hardwork, in less than two years, I sat my final exmas at secondary school and came out with excellent grades. Honestly, I never even thought I would get an A in my exams when I started. Everything seemed soo far from reach. Bt thankfully, Jesus wasn't far from reach. I told God to take charge of my education because He never fails, and...

In my previous blog post, I discussed our policy about clicking the spam button or unsubscribing results in an account being closed/banned. https://www.prayerrequest.com/blog/1/entry-16537-be-careful-not-to-hit-the-spam-or-junk-button/ As a result of making some changes to the system programming, this will no longer be the case. Instead, only email features will be permanently disabled. Account access will still be available. This is still a non-reversable change, but at least the account will no longer be closed as a result. This change is only from today forward. It is not retroactive. Anyone who was previously banned will remain banned.
Saul was one of the witnesses, and he agreed completely with the killing of Stephen. Persecution Scatters the Believers A great wave of persecution began that day, sweeping over the church in Jerusalem; and all the believers except the apostles were scattered through the regions of Judea and Samaria. 2(Some devout men came and buried Stephen with great mourning.) 3But Saul was going everywhere to destroy the church. He went from house to house, dragging out both men and women to throw them into prison. 4But the believers who were scattered preached the Good News about Jesus wherever they went. 5Philip, for example, went to the city of Samaria and told the people there about the Messiah. 6Crowds listened intently to Philip because they...
Then the high priest asked Stephen, "Are these accusations true?" 2This was Stephen's reply: "Brothers and fathers, listen to me. Our glorious God appeared to our ancestor Abraham in Mesopotamia before he settled in Haran.* 3God told him, `Leave your native land and your relatives, and come into the land that I will show you.'* 4So Abraham left the land of the Chaldeans and lived in Haran until his father died. Then God brought him here to the land where you now live. 5"But God gave him no inheritance here, not even one square foot of land. God did promise, however, that eventually the whole land would belong to Abraham and his descendants—even though he had no children yet. 6God also told him that his descendants would live in a...
But as the believers* rapidly multiplied, there were rumblings of discontent. The Greek-speaking believers complained about the Hebrew-speaking believers, saying that their widows were being discriminated against in the daily distribution of food. 2So the Twelve called a meeting of all the believers. They said, "We apostles should spend our time teaching the word of God, not running a food program. 3And so, brothers, select seven men who are well respected and are full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will give them this responsibility. 4Then we apostles can spend our time in prayer and teaching the word." 5Everyone liked this idea, and they chose the following: Stephen (a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit), Philip, Procorus, Nicanor...
