WHAT DO YOU BELEVE & PROCLAIM? So do not be ashamed to testify about our LORD, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. 2 Timothy 1:8-9 Are you proclaiming and sharing the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ as you stand for the restoration of your marriage? I could never have accomplished what the Lord called me to do, which was to pray and stand in the gap for Bob, without the power of the Lord Jesus Christ. Then the Lord called Bob and I to proclaim the Gospel of salvation, healing and marriage restoration. We have been able to proclaim that God can heal...
Could you imagine how your pastor might react if someone were to say to him: “Your worship is pointless. You’re totally off track…†That’s what Jesus said to the religious leaders in His day in Mark chapter seven. They pointed their fingers at His followers and said to Him, “Your disciples aren’t honoring the traditions of the elders. They don’t follow our ceremonies and ways!†Jesus returned fire by saying “YOU are the ones who are unclean! You don’t keep God’s commandments: you throw out what He says and push your own agendas. Your worship is in vain!†Have you ever known people who push aside what God’s Word teaches and push their own agenda? And they teach it as if it were the Gospel! Jesus said...
Hello every one as we start this fast I felt lead to share some verses on fasting. Matthew 6: 16-18 And when you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. Isiah 58:6 “Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke? Be strong during this fast, the enemy knows how powerful fasting is and will try to stop you by...
YOUR VALENTINE - YOUR SPOUSE - FOREVER! “Haven’t you read,†he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.†Matthew 19:4-6 God created marriage. God hates divorce. Do not allow the world’s standards, which have come into our churches, to stop you from doing what God’s Word teaches His church. Never doubt the power of God that He is able to breathe new life and a more powerful love into your resurrected and restored marriage. How do I know? God is love. I pray that...
I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.
If you love someone, let them know. It’s easy to take our feelings for granted and to assume that the people we care about know how we feel about them. But while those we love are often quite cognizant of our feelings, saying “I love you†is a gift we should give to our loved ones whenever we can. Letting people know you love them is an important part of nurturing any kind of loving relationship. Few people tire of being told they are loved, and saying “I love you†can make a world of difference in someone’s life, take a relationship to a new level, or reaffirm and strengthen a steady bond. Everyone needs to hear the words “I love you.†Three simple words – I - Love - You. When you declare your love for someone you admit...
I have had a lot going on lately, working and working on my books, new ones in progress and issues at home. Sometimes it seems to come so fast. Not looking at the instructions, the Bible is not just for the unbeliever. We can get so busy that we get upset, frustrated and tired instead of going to the Lord for peace and inspiration to help us prioritize our day. When we leave Him out, frustration happens because HE is Peace. (John 14:27) “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.†The story below happens in our life when we do not search out answers from the Lord. He wants to help us in every part of our life; He even numbers the very...
EDITOR'S NOTE: He Said-She Said is a biweekly advice column for singles featuring a question from a Crosswalk.com reader with responses from a male and female point of view. If you've got a question about anything related to singleness or living the single life, please submit it to He Said-She Said (selected questions will be posted anonymously). QUESTION: I have three questions about falling in love: Is it okay to ask God for signs to understand if a girl is the right one (see Genesis 24)? How can I understand if a girl is the right one? And what is the right time to say to a girl that I fell in love with her? HE SAID: It’s always okay to ask God for whatever you seek. Jesus told us, “You may ask me for anything in my name, and I...
DO YOU LOVE YOUR ENEMIES? “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.†Matthew 5:43-44 How are you doing with loving your enemies? Who do you consider right now an enemy in your life? Do you love your prodigal spouse in spite of their behaviors, attitudes, actions and words? Have you asked the Lord to put His agape love in your heart for the other person? The Lord will give you His love as He died for all sinners and wants that other person to be saved also. Never forget that the other person is not the enemy. You may be new, so let me share a scripture that you will want to...
Many people think that by simply attending a Sunday Church service they’ll grow in Christ. I’m telling you, it’s good to go to Church every Sunday; my whole family goes to Church regularly, but it is definitely not enough. Just as being in a garage doesn’t make you a car, so being in a Church doesn’t make you a true Christian. You, my brethren, have to seek God’s face on regular basis. And you can’t just rely one someone’s preaching to tell you everything that you need to know about God. What’s lacking in many Christians is a simple system. What do I mean by a system? A system is a set of habits that they need to develop to have that level of faith that can move mountains. “Don, are you just making this...
