I had posted this in response to someone asking how to forgive the OP and it got into a debate about the scriptures. I thought i would share with all. Hope it helps someone. The bible tells us in Matthew 6:14-15 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." Forgiveness has nothing to do with the other person. Not forgiving someone is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to get sick. When we hold on to something it hurts our whole body spiritually, mentally and physically so why hold on to it. Give it up and remember it is God who they have to repent to not us. Repentance is between God and...
"ONE by ONE by ONE...let them know of the Eternal Holy Spirit within"... it is said, for there are many that KNOW not of the Divine Spirit of God... it is said, know the difference between words and writings of the 'World'... let them know 'Omnipotent'...*All Powerful* ...the Holy Spirit shall come upon them... 'Omnipresent'...*All Places At Once*...where shall they go from the Spirit, for the Spirit is ever present. 'Omniscient'...*All Knowing*...but God has revealed unto them by His Spirit, ( 1 Corinthians 2:10 )... ONE by ONE by ONE...let them come to know TRUTH...( Luke 3:22 )...unto All... The Holy Spirit unto one's own self...this too is known to be..."AMEN"...... I AM YOU...YOU ARE I..........
Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. - 1 Corinthians 7:3-5 The apostle Paul wrote these verses in Corinthian not as a commandment but as guidelines so that we could have a better understanding of our commitment to each as husband and wife. Fully understanding what these verses mean could have a significant...
I have been here think a lot over the last few days about how we live as Christians. Most of us are so busy trying not to "sin" that we are not living at all. We remember the Ten Commandments and add so many more by our narrow interpretation that it feels that we are not allowed to do anything. We totally forget John 3:86 "who the Son has set free is free indeedâ€. What does this mean to you personally? To me it means we are free. We are free to live, we are free from condemnation. Just because we made a bad choice does not mean we have sinned. We are so sin-conscious that we do not see God. We are so busy fighting and resisting the devil we don't see God. God is all around us. We are searching for Satan instead of God. We are...
I have posted this blog before but was rereading it today and really felt led to re post it. I believe SOMEONE on our sight might just need to hear this one! God Bless You! Be strong in The Lord and in His Mighty Power! Theresa aka Scroggymommy5 18 SIGNS THAT SOMETHING IS HAPPENING! For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12 During my prodigal days, while we were divorced, I heard a pastor make a sermon statement that has stuck with me to this day: “If you were able to see the spiritual battle that is taking place all around you, it would scare you to death.†My...
GOD’S WORD WILL ACCOMPLISH WHAT HE DESIRES “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,†declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.†Isaiah 55:8-11 Do you believe that God’s Word will accomplish what He desires and achieve the purpose for which He sent it? If you would...
Passion & Purity I found an interesting article of how coal turns into a diamond on buzzle.com; I hope you find it as interesting as I did. I will make a clear point at the end, it is truly fascinating. Thanks to Sonia Nair for contributing to this chapter. “It is difficult to believe that any relation exists between the dark brownish-black lumps of coal and shimmering diamonds. The common element (*1) between the two is that they both are made up of carbon. The element carbon exists in the earth in three different forms. One is the amorphous form (*2), which lacks the crystal structure. Another form of carbon, termed as graphite (*2), has hexagonal crystals. Diamonds are the third form of carbon and these glittering gemstones...
Have you ever been in the middle of a faith stand, when suddenly it seemed like your faith just quit working? Maybe you were believing God for healing, or financial deliverance, or the salvation of your family. Spiritually, everything was in place. You found the scriptures that promised you what you need. You were firing off confessions of faith like a machine gun. But as time went by, your spiritual battery began to weaken. The power you had when you first took your stand began to wane, and you developed a gnawing suspicion that nothing would happen. In desperation, you tried to shove those doubts away by confessing louder and longer. You frantically tried to force your faith to work. But to no avail. You wound up still sick...
This story will move you. Neil Orchard was talking with a farmer about his soy bean and corn crops. Rain had been abundant, and the results were evident. So his comment surprised him: "My crops are especially vulnerable. Even a short drought could have a devastating effect." "Why?" Orchard asked. He explained that while we see the frequent rains as a benefit, during that time the plants are not required to push roots deeper in search of water. The roots remain near the surface. A drought would find the plants unprepared and quickly kill them. Some Christians receive abundant "rains" of worship, fellowship, and teaching. Yet when stress enters their lives, many suddenly abandon God or think of Him as unfaithful. Their...
It is important to understand that God knows how to bring you out of trouble. There is nothing God doesn’t know how to handle. Psalms 34 outlines eight steps to follow to come out of trouble. 1. The first thing to do is pray. Verse four begins, “I sought the Lord.†Your part is to pray and invite Him into your life. 2. You must trust God. “Blessed is the man who trusts in Him†(Psalms 34:8). Put the whole balance of your life, your security, in the Lord. Rely on the character, strength and ability of God to deliver you. Fear and unbelief, which are a lack of trust in God, will hinder or stop you from receiving God’s help. 3. Fear the Lord. This does not mean to be afraid of Him, but to give Him honor and respect. Take...
