THE TEACHING LEGACY OF DEREK PRINCE Understanding the Fear of the Lord Benefits factor into many of the decisions we make—and certainly most of the big decisions. When you are considering job offers, you compare the benefit packages of two or more potential employers. When you shop for a home, you look for an area that offers the benefits you value—a family-friendly neighborhood, proximity to work or school, etc. And, of course, there are countless benefits to healthy eating and proper exercise that apply to everyone. Nonetheless, I have found that the most valuable benefits of all are experienced when we apply the truths of Scripture in practical ways to our lives. And this applies in no small part to the fear of the Lord. One...
God's Promises For God's Provision If I obey God, will He really provide for me? How can I claim God's promise to provide for me? Does God really care about my troubles? Verses "My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19 "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13 "In all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us." Romans 8:37 "Let no one boast in men. For all things belong to you, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or things present or things to come; all things belong to you, and you belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God." 1 Corinthians 3:21-23 "If you abide in Me, and My words abide...
THE OLD RUGGED CROSS So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness... When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Colossians 2:6-7, 13-15 Never forget the cross that Jesus Christ died on. There was victory on that cross. Do you remember the...
CLEANSE MY HOME FROM ALL IMPURITIES! - Part 2 “Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your forefathers worshiped beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.†Joshua 24:14-15 In the Old Testament, God told Moses and Joshua to take the Israelites to the Promised Land, He warned them there were other false gods in different countries that they traveled through. Over and over again, God's people were told to not make...
CLEANSE MY HOME FROM ALL IMPURITIES! - Part 1 Are you ready for your marriage to be rebuilt one brick at a time, with the Lord revealing and exposing the areas in your and your spouse’s hearts and lives that need to be cleansed? Are you wanting to rebuild your marriage on the solid rock of Jesus Christ? Are you willing to get to work to cleanse your own life first from all of your impurities? Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you are proved right when...
Learn to trust God--if you are going through some overwhelming trials trust that the One who was beaten beyond human recognition, made to carry His own cross UP HILL to a place called Golgatha and was hung on it until He gave up His breath for us. That is the most overwhelming, unconditional love anyone can ever have for anyone else and HE did it for ALL of mankind for "whosoever will." So, trust in His love "He will never fail or forake you" and "He will never leave you.' Instead, ask Him, "Lord, if you are allowing this, then by Your overwhelming love I know it is for my good for Your "work all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to your purpose. So Lord, please show me what it is You are trying...
I wanted to share with you a passage in the Bible that touched me deeply. I pray that this will give you hope and inspire prayers. Job 33 14 For God does speak—now one way, now another— though no one perceives it. 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they slumber in their beds, 16 he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, 17 to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, 18 to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword. 19 “Or someone may be chastened on a bed of pain with constant distress in their bones, 20 so that their body finds food repulsive and their soul loathes the choicest meal. 21 Their flesh wastes away to nothing, and their...
Many people say "I am healed by the stripes of Jesus" and also suggest for others who are sick to say that. The issue I noticed with this is that we say so because we want to think of it that way, but by doing so we don't keep this sentence in context. Let me explain. Isaiah 53:4-5 Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed. Jesus was whipped right before He went on cross, and that whipping caused Him wounds. Now, we know that Jesus went on cross so that we may be right before God. But in this case...
LORD, BRING REPENTANCE TO THE WORLD! From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.†Matthew 4:17 We have less than three weeks before Resurrection Sunday! Will you start praying and planning that you and believers around the world will start inviting family members and friends to their church services? In my church bulletin I received the first postcard announcing the four services at our church, putting on an Easter presentation, He Reigns. I realized yesterday afternoon, I could attend four different services and invite many standers, friends and loved ones to our church services. Will you join me inviting others to your church services? We can bring others to our church services on Palm...
"Does My Prodigal Really Think I Am As Bad As They Are Saying?" Absolutely not. One of the major tools of the enemy, not only in destroying marriages, but also in hindering their restoration, are the reports spouses give, both to one another, but also to other people as well. You are not a bad person. If you know Christ as your Lord and Savior or if you have come to have a personal relationship with Him during your standing for marriage restoration, you are, above all else, a forgiven child of God. Charlyne and I pray that you are allowing God to not only polish off the rough edges in your life, but also to do His deep cleansing in your heart. How bad could such an individual be? Why do we prodigals say such horrible things about the...
