Why is this life so hard? It seems as though my life gets harder and harder every day. I long for the day that I can say that I am happy and at peace. My heart aches with an unquenchable pain. The days of my joy are few and far in between. Yes, I know that things could be worse, but I am so tired. My spirit is weary, my mind wanders and worries all the time. When will I receive peace? Will it be when I see Jesus? Will I see Him? I feel as though peace is far from me. I'm most happy when I sleep. It's God's will that I wake every morning. I'm alone and lonely. I'm miserable in my own skin. Where is the joy that the Bible speaks of? Should I be content with this life? Should I expect nothing and be content with it? I think so...

Wow, taxes sure have been a challenge and a stress inducer this year!! We have learned our lesson to just go ahead and do them ourselves instead of relying on someone else to do them for us!! There is some speculation that the person who prepared them and supposedly filed them did so in their own favor and not in ours. :( We will not be sure until we prepare and file them ourselves. We don't owe anything, so that is good. We suspect this person may have routed our return to her own bank account as we have not received anything back yet. The only fortunate piece is that the IRS website where you can track your return states that there is currently no status on the return (which means nothing has been filed). It's just very frustrating...

Well here I am again being all stressed out about the future. And something just won't let me accept that God is perfect and marvelous and is totally working in our lives right now. The future will be ok, but I have something in the way that is obstructing what I know to be true!
