Many times I have wondered how miracles come about. Do we sit and pray for them to happen? Do we wait for God to bring this job to us, or do we go out and look for it? Do things "fall from the sky" or do we go out to get them? It is difficult determining this because in my case, the greatest miracle I have received from God fell on my lap from the sky. My son's health was a gift from God, I wasn't even a believer then, I asked for his healing out of desperation not of true faith or belief. On other occasions I have gone out and looked for these miracles, for a job, for a business deal, to a doctor, so how does it work, are those we look for miracles or do miracles "fall from the sky"? At this moment in time, I do not have a job and have...
dishonor-such as dishonoring God or your mother, father or wife. lies- little untruths thrown out to distract attention cheating- on a spouse, tax return, test. It always comes back to you stealing- taking a donut when no one is looking, embezzlement, robber murder- taking what is not yours; example: one's life false prophesy- foretelling or prophesying untruths narcissim- love of one's self; self indulgence idoltry- paying homage to a false god
Praise God for what He has done for me!! I have a lot to Praise God for. He has Blessed me more than words can express. I can't even begin to count all the things that God has Blessed me with. God's Word says that we are overcomers by the words of our testimonies and the blood of the Lamb (JESUS). He has taken away the pain of Arthritis in my feet and legs. I don't need the steroid injections in my knees to eliminate the pain. God has blessed me in that I now can control my Blood sugars. I still take insulin shots but I can control it with God's help and it does not control me. I praise God every morning when I awake. I thank Him for allowing me to still be here and able to praise Him. It's the little things like that, I can't thank...
The Lord Is My Shepherd according to Psalm 23 I want to thank God for sending me His Shepherd, Jesus Christ to be my Shepherd so that I will not be wanting Provisions because He will make all Provisions for me according to Psalm 23:1. He will supply all my needs according to His riches He has in Glory. I will not be begging for Bread because He will Provide for me. Praise His Holy Name!! And according to Psalm 23:2 He will Give me Green Pastures to lay down in not only for Comfort but to Graze in as His Sheep in His Pastures. He will Lead me also to the Provision of Still Waters to Provide me with the water I will need in addition to the food of His Pasture. Praise god I will never go lacking for food or water because He will make...
MAGNOLIAS..........By ### Ellison I spent the week before my daughter's June wedding running last-minute trips to the caterer, florist, tuxedo shop, and the church about forty miles away. As happy as I was that ### was marrying a good Christian young man, I felt laden with responsibilities as I watched my budget dwindle . .. So many details, so many bills, and so little time. My son ### was away at college, but he said he would be there to walk his younger sister down the aisle, taking the place of his dad who had died a few years before. He teased ###, saying he'd wanted to give her away since she was about three years old! To save money, I gathered blossoms from several friends who had large magnolia trees. Their luscious...
Ruth went to her mail box and there was only one letter.. She picked it up and looked at it before opening, but then she looked at the envelope again. There was no stamp, no postmark, only her name and address. She read the letter: Dear ###: I'm going to be in your neighborhood Saturday afternoon and I'd like to stop by for a visit. Love Always, Jesus Her hands were shaking as she placed the letter on the table. 'Why would the Lord want to visit me? I'm nobody special. I don't have anything to offer.' With that thought, ### remembered her empty kitchen cabinets. 'Oh my goodness, I really don't have anything to offer.. I'll have to run down to the store and buy something for dinner.' She reached for her purse and counted out...
Untimely death!!!!!!!! DID YOU KNOW THESE FACTS? I SURE DIDN'T TILL NOW Death is certain but the Bible speaks about untimely death! Make a personal reflection about this...... Very interesting, read until the end..... It is written in the Bible (Galatians 6:7): 'Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.. Here are some men and women who mocked God : ### (Singer): Some years before, during his interview with an American Magazine, he said: Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that.. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more famous than Him' (1966). ###, after saying...
Shoes in church I showered and shaved............. I adjusted my tie. I got there and sat.............. In a pew just in time. Bowing my head in prayer......... As I closed my eyes. I saw the shoe of the man next to me..... Touching my own. I sighed. With plenty of room on either side...... I thought, 'Why must our soles touch?' It bothered me, his shoe touching mine... But it didn't bother him much. A prayer began: 'Our Father'............. I thought, 'This man with the shoes, has no pride. They're dusty, worn, and scratched. Even worse, there are holes on the side!' 'Thank You for blessings,' the prayer went on. The shoe man said............... A quiet 'Amen.' I tried to focus on the prayer....... But my thoughts...
Five Finger Prayer This is so neat. I had never heard this before. This is beautiful - and it is surely worth making the 5 finger prayer a part of our lives. 1. Your thumb is nearest you. So begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones is, as C. S. Lewis once said, a 'sweet duty.' 2. The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal. This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction. Keep them in your prayers. 3. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for the president, leaders in business and industry, and administrators...
